Good store but why does it say they close at 10 when it’s actually 9? I drove 20 minutes to come out here, got here at 9:05, just to find the doors locked. It was an emergency too. Several others came to find the store closed as well.

We went here on 4th of July and surprisingly it was open until 8:00PM. A very friendly employee went above and beyond to help us find the product we needed and took time out of what he was already doing and helped us. He helped us find the trash can super quickly and was great. Usually I hate on Home Depot but maybe times are changing. Jk I still don’t like it but the guy was super cool.

Customer experience manager, says ‘customers must open the box and check any defects before picking up”Date: 3;30 pm, Monday, April 24, 2023Location: Hoover (#0881), 3670 Galleria Circle, Birmingham, AL 35244What happen;I ordered cabinets and other items at Home Depot at Galleria Circle, Hoover (#0881) on April 13, 2023. Two items were special order, so it was delivered about 10 days later. I visited Home depot on April 23, and confirmed all items will be ready for pickup at 10 am on Monday, April 24. I scheduled and paid my contractor to pick up the items and do his job on assembly and paint. When he picked, brought to his place, and opened the boxes there were cracks on one cabinet (36x34.5x24 in) and one decoration side panel (3x34.5x37.5 in). He took a couple of pictures. However, we can not retun them because my car is small, and should finish those work by that day. Even though I return, that special order items will be delivered 10 days later.I visited Home Depot ( Galleria Circle, Hoover #0881) and talked to Customer experience manager. I explained situation and asked partial credits. She said NO. She told me to bring those items in the boxes. I explained all situation and also said that I have to pay extra to my contractor to return those items. She said that you should bring it by yourself because those items should fit in any car. I said that my car is a small sedan. She said that it should fit I any car. It is NOT true. How can one cabinet (36x34.5x24 in) and one decoration side panel (3x34.5x37.5 in) fit in small sedan.Then, she said that “customers must open the box and check whether there are any defects before picking up”.This made me uncomfortable and upset. I never open the box at home depot before paying.Is this Home Depot policy for customers to open the box before picking up? Customer experience manager, made Home Depot lose 20 year loyal customer to the Lowes.

The two stars are for the staff. They were many, everywhere, helpful and polite. The missing stars are because I went with a list of about a dozen tools I needed. Of those, NONE were in stock. I looked at alternative styles and brands, but they were also all out of stock. I would like to simply blame it on the time of year, but any company that knows how to stay in business should also know their busy/sale seasons and keep up with inventory accordingly. Being out of an item or two would be acceptable, but being out of that many items and their alternatives is just lost business and a waste of your customer's time looking. It would have even been acceptable for them to be out of every sale item, but only two items on my list were on sale, so there's no real excuse for all the rest... If anyone is still wondering why retail stores are failing, this is a prime example. Especially when the best answer the staff can give you is to order online. Again though, not their fault that the company left them with nothing to sell, and they were all still polite about it.

Store 0881 the experience I had at this store is something to brag about. I saw on their online site that they carried this certain item, so I drove there to purchase it. I get there and asked a worker what I was looking for and showed him the picture on their site, he told me I had to order it and have it shipped. I left and as I was walking to my car, I saw another worker, who turned out to be a manager, we walked back in the store and looked up the product I was searching for. Well they had plenty in stock. Damion was the manager who helped means doe my troubles he gave me 10 bucks off the price.I get to the register to check out told the cashier what Damion said and she didn't question me not once. That Cashier's name was Alissa very polite lady. Had a nice conversation with me. Before I could finish my transaction Damion walked up to make sure I was properly taking care of.

This Home Depot location is my favorite in the Birmingham area. The store is well organized and clean. The employees were very helpful and accessible. They seem to do pretty well keeping everything in stock from my experience so far. Their tool section is my favorite, with my favorite brands carried (Ryobi, Makita and Milwaukee). Highly recommended!

Haven’t had the best experiences here, but also haven’t had the worst. Their lighting selection is very small. Not a lot of choices. They quoted me a rediculouse price for my kitchen. Way out of the budget I told them at the beginning. They wasted over an hour of my time. Then messed up my order of appliances.

No carts available to help me with a lawnmower purchase. I had to drag it in the box to the 1 open checkout person! Several employees saw me dragging the big box and never offered to help!

Very good selection when I went by to get a few things. I saw lots of items I did not know they had. Some of the nuts and bolts I purchased were very overpriced. I had to still get the overpriced items because I didnt have time to go anywhere else. The employees were nice and helpfull.

No help. Rude. Went to Lowes when I couldn't find what I needed at Home Depot, and they couldn't have been more helpful. What a difference!! No more Home Depot for me. I am now a "Lowe's only" customer!

Great store for your household needs. Picked up a riding mower my mom bought for me, said I am getting to old for a push mower. Got a great deal on a clearanced club cart riding mower we couldn't pass up. Very pleased with our purchase, although I could have gone couple more years using a push mower

We got approx 30 bags of soil and a extremely helpful employee by the name of Colin was happy to help put it on a trolley and load it in the car. It was nice to see a employee that was happy to help and so polite! This is rare these days. A wonderful cashier too! Her name was Queen. A very pleasant and satisfying visit today!

Still much better than the local Lowes. I have averaged about 6 visits into this one review. I had an employee tell me he was going to help me with some products and that he would get the person in charge of the aisle. After waiting 5 minutes I went to look for him.I found him 10 minutes total after he left and he had his uniform off walking out of the store to go to lunch. He ignored me as he went to lunch and when I found the store manager to help me he did not care to even ask for the employees name. He simple told me it would be better to order online as there are sometimes better deals.Well I will be ordering online, but not at Home Depot. I was prepared to buy a DeWalt LawnCare Battery Tools combo that retails at over $900 today, and a $150 wheelbarrow, however, now I will take my business elsewhere.

I got a kitchen faucet leak and was going to replace it. I went to this store several days ago to purchase parts. Chuck helped me finding everything needed for that job and he gave me all the details on how to install and connect with adapters. He was very helpful and made my installation much easier. Also another senior gentleman stopped by and provided me with help. I think Chuck and the other gentleman deserve a five star.

Customer service is the best. I get so much help when going to the pro desk. I come in with a print out of what I need and they assist me until we find everything. I can say I’m at this place 3 to 4 times a week for the apartments I’m over.

This is probably my favorite store ever and most the people that work here are great people.. my only complaint would be that it's always hard to find somebody to help you load your Lumber and half the time you end up doing it yourself or a fellow Shopper helps you but besides that it's great

Andretta was my cashier and she was super helpful and courteous. She helped in my home Depot cards statuses since I had not used it in a long time. There was an employee that offered help while my mother and I were shopping and he seemed to be hitting on my mom more than helping fing the right item. Of course until he found out the tool was for my mom then he hopped right on it. And well as annoying as it could have been it was actually cute. All in all it was a good experience I found what I needed and really wanted to stay longer to look around more. Customer service was good and well it's another big box store that most of the time when I shop by myself I'm treated like I'm a shoplifter. Lesson learned here is bring my mom along when shopping at Home Depot, and especially at Lowe's and Wal Mart.

We made several large purchases at this location and were extremely pleased with the experience and the service provided! Every time we came across an associate they offered to help and give us expertise on the products we were looking for. We also purchased some Ryobi lawn equipment and were approached by a Ryobi rep that was partnered with Home Depot and in the store doing demos. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us feel very secure in our purchase. It was busy and crowded with different sales and mark downs in almost every section of the store- even with all that going on we waited in line for less than 5 min to make our purchases.
