We LOVE this location! Our babies have experienced the training classes and grooming offered here with Kara and she treats them like her own. They’re always so excited to come in, especially if she’s working. We cannot recommend this place and their services enough!

I went to cut my little dog nails and these people inside the grooming especially a white tall lady very rude with a horrible attitude including the manager!!!! I will never come back to this store in Hoover

Very clean and the employees were nice. The aisle contents aren't clearly marked so a bit of hunting was needed. Otherwise a great PetSmart.

PetSmart Associates are extremely polite friendly and knowledgeable about what they stock for their animals! The store is always clean and they're open till 9 p.m. which helps I would recommend anyone I go to the PetSmart on Lorna Road and Hoover

Worst experience in the store for just a return. The lady was scanning a item. Yeah, I was in a rushing, I grab the wrong label for the item. I kept saying I can go back and get the original item but she kept shooing me off and was sounding like she didn’t want to listen to me. A guy came afterwards and was said the same thing. Again, I said I can go back to get the original item. She said “we do not carry this item” and the male said the same thing while he stare blank at my face. Again, I repeated “I can get the item”. The lady kept on assuming as well. Don’t give me dry attitude. I know both of them hate you their job. But don’t come at me and try to fix it. I told him to stop talking to me and he kept going. Dude just stop cause I’m going to write the worst review. I check out at 5:34. At that store on 10/1. Talk to your coworkers about their attitude.Making it sound like I stolen something from their store. Review it and talk to them.

As i would find out later the Manager asked if I wanted a male or female fish. My son 6 said I like that one. Her response to my 6 year old.” I aint chasing that fish all around this tank for you to get that one”. Now she went by the excuse I'm not stressing the fish when I confronted her. However she was willing to chase a male vs a female. Not to mention Ive gotten ICK in my tank 2 times from them because of the low quality suppliers. Trust me pet smart does not care about their animals. If you get any animal from there consider it a rescue. Im not going back until the manager is gone anyway.some workers from other local petsmarts actually left because of her.

I bought my Betta fish from this store during the summer and I can still call anytime I have questions/concerns and someone in the fish department is always there with helpful answers! Mr. Bubbles is a healthy, happy, and spoiled fish.

After horrible attempts at setting up a ADF (African dwarf frog) tank, I gave it one more shot. I did a bleach wash, air dry, massive wipe down and re-cyled the tank for over a month. I went to another pet store and bought four ADF's and two died within 24 hours. I was again thinking this was a bad hobby to pick up.A week later, the two left were healthy and thriving beautifully, so I decided to get them a few more tank mates since I have a large tank. I just didn't want to get them from the same store that I kept purchasing sick frogs, so I called around and found this store. They were more than willing to let me inspect the frogs before purchasing, even teaching the employees how to sex the frogs. I left there with four beautiful ADF's, having gotten one male just to see if he would sing or "hum" for me.They have been in the tank for seven hours and I have a mating pair. >.< I love it. This store was super helpful and I'm thankful that they carry healthy animals and help the ones that are not so healthy! Give them a call! Super friendly!

Even though they don't carry the brand of puppy food I like, the store is well stocked and clean. Watch out for the flirty staff, though. Kids today, don't know subtle.

I sent my dogs couple times for no option around here . Today was too much baby sick and I sent my husband to drop of my dogs. I know was little bit late but always they take forever to return my dogs . I called just to say we were coming and one staff from other store cancel my appointment without my permission. I called wrong store . When my husband arrived at the right store with my dogs they refused to take because the appointments were cancel . The store manager accused my husband She said he was coming from the other store , He said no from home she said I’m checking the cameras to see you in the other store ,please who contracted this crazy one she never could be called MANAGER.We are not a liar !!!! They offer me to reschedule I was one week waiting for that appointment. I never will trust in living my dogs in that place again . Terrível people

I am so disappointed with my visit.. not only did one of the groomers have a horrible attitude when asked to help out with my dogs but when one of the dogs was uncooperative (after warning them) they proceeded to say she was "all types of crazy." Excuse me but don't call my dog crazy. Then as I was headed to the counter realized that I was being fully charged for a service that was half done since only 2 of her paws were done. I asked to see if the price could be discounted and the manager has a nasty attitude as to not understanding.. What is there not to understand? My dog got half the service so I shouldn't have to pay the full price.. I am not one to normally complain. I normally let stuff roll off my shoulder but I have never seen so much unprofessionalism.. Don't mess with my dogs.

One of the nicest pet stores around ! They were updating the store to Halloween/Christmas items for the pets and every isle was still easily accessible. The work force at this specific store is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful !

Not friendly here. Can't return things that were delivered without getting your refund on a gift card which makes you purchase more there. I avoid going here, I have a few times because it's right where I live. I'll go out of my way from now on.

After a recent storm flooded the store I use, they had to close for repairs. When they reopened, stock was low for awhile, but now seems to be back to normal, as they were able to fill my total order. The price per can of the brand of cat food I buy is less online than in store, but they always honor that and give me the lower price at the register. (Though I usually order ahead online and pick up my order when notified it's ready, which is so convenient!)The associates in the store (in person and on the phone) are always extra friendly and helpful, which makes sometimes having to wait a bit to check out much easier.**NOTE.....I read some other reviews here about customer service. We need to remember that Covid caused a problem with staffing in many businesses and have understanding for the smaller staff that DO still go to work every day and struggle to often do double work. If you want to buy a large item that is too much to handle alone, the store does offer delivery, and it's FAST! I really think they're doing the best they can......just don't go in there if you're in a hurry, and remember the order online/pick up in store option!

I had to get my cats bathed and didn't realize how difficult it is finding someone brave enough to do it. Nicole did an amazing job and my cats didn't even appear to be traumatized by the whole process. The price was reasonable and well worth every penny. Everyone at the salon was extremely professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

I have a rescue fur baby, and from training pads, adorable AND adorable outfits, to great food & treat choices, and let's not leave out the highly qualified and personable trainers! I don't choose to go just for great variety of products, the customer service is great and it doesn't even have that "pet store" smell. Because let's be honest, though the fur babies are in and out, doesn't mean it has to smell like it. Apparently they have mastered it all.

I like the offers they have, and even rescued a cat. The customer service can be irritating. I was selecting a cat tree for my cat and asked someone at the register to help me getting it to my car. I'm 5'1 and 110 so carrying something bulky and heavy is going to be a struggle. The guy called someone over the radio and told me to wait on the aisle. So I did. For 15 minutes. With no help. Finally I gave in and drug it myself out the store where other customers had to help me.

My sister and I went there to get a rescued kitten. We were very happy with the way we were lead through the process. The store is very clean and organized. The staff offered help with locating anything we desired. Alley has been a welcomed addition to our family.

Customer service was great! I was in and out even with social distancing guidelines. My concern was the smell of feces in the parking lot as well as upon entering. I understand pets are allowed and there are supplies to pick up the waste. But there still needs to be a thorough cleaning of the area. Inside and out.

Had an appointment schedule for my dog to be groomed. I was a little late and when I showed up I was told my appointment was just canceled and I should’ve called first. I told KAT that I did in fact call but the automation said the store was closed. She then tells me the salon is separate from the actual store. How am I, a customer, supposed to know that?! She was incredibly unsympathetic. Second bad experience with PetSmart. Literally will never use their salon ever again.

Don’t bother to bring your large dog here for grooming, they are not competent to handle them. We have the most laid back 90 lbs dog you could ever meet and we brought him in to be bathed, and have his nails trimmed and teeth brushed. They couldn’t even handle drying him let alone do his teeth and nails. We brought him to an experienced groomer a couple days later (who I’m not sure weighed more than him) and had zero issues.

We bring our dog here for grooming and they always take excellent care of her. Due to work, I need to drop her off early before the actual store opens. This is never a problem as they leave the front doors open for access. The groomers all know our dog and remember her name. Good quality service!
