I wanted to love this place because I love locally-owned cafes, and I think it has potential, but the vanilla latte wasn't very creamy or flavorful and my husband's cortado (which is supposed to be equal parts espresso and milk) was super milky. The price also seemed high, considering the quality. The owners, though, were so kind... great service, coffee just isn't up to par yet with other local places (Filter, Red Cat, Wild Roast).

I have met the owner before at a few different events and gotten to sample their coffee, but finally got to go visit the shop in person. Cool location in Old Town Helena. Not too far from Hoover. Had a great latte and my kids got hot cocoa and chocolate milk.

They’re coffee is great, prices are good, there are beautiful sitting areas, it is located in a pretty place to walk around, good pastries, and nice people. All their coffee is great, but their decaf is the most surprising to me. I’ve never had good decaf coffee until I had theirs. I like to keep a bag at home to have with late night desserts.

I am so happy I found this place and that I live so close to it! I can only drink decaf.. (yes I know you probably think decaf is not real coffee but it is for me!) and I’m always looking for good and fresh decaf beans and these are sooo soo good 😍.

Best coffee you will find anywhere in this area of Birmingham. The owner (Bert) is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and passionate about crafting coffee — both roasting and brewing. The availability of various coffee beans and brews at the store is impressive. Even with hospitality, they provide samples for their brews — which is a very rare amenity for artisan coffee shops like this — so you know what to expect before you commit to a purchase.In short, when it comes to artisan-style coffee shops and roasters, Daysol is top-notch and too-shelf when it comes to quality, friendliness, hospitality, and overall experience.

We had the opportunity to sample Daysol Coffee by using the delivery method during COVID. Being in the Atlanta area, it is nice to have a reliable source for great tasting coffee. I highly recommend due to the attention to detail, the purchasing experience, and the devotion to a best in class roast/flavor.

RUN don't walk to Daysol. The nitro cold brew comes in growler sizes to fit your needs and can be resealed. This coffee has been touched by the hand of whatever higher power you believe in. Starbucks; Never heard of her. She must be Daysol's distant cousin twice removed because she has no smoke on Daysol. Support local.

I love the bourbon barrel reserve.Originally mixed about 1:4 ratio, but now am making it about 1:1 with your Costa Rica roast (which is also great just by itself). Keep up the good work!

I love the Ethiopian! I also am a big fan of the Bourbon Reserve, mix it 1:3 with the Ethiopian (1 part Bourbon to 3 parts Ethiopian) and you have one heckuva good tasting coffee!
