My first impression of the pharmacist three years ago still holds true today! Extremely helpful when I was looking for over-the-counter items one evening. He keeps customer service first. Computers in pharmacy were down one day so no prescriptions could be filled. Even though his job must have been hectic at that time, he came to the drive through window to apologize and explain the problem to each customer ❤️

Been using CVS on Tyler Rd in Hoover for many years. Wasn't very impressed when first started using, but for the last 5 years, they have been excellent! Well run pharmacy and great staff!

This weekend there was an error with a purchase I made. I returned to the store tonight and one of the team members- maybe a manager- rectified the issue and was so kind about it. I then did more shopping and while there I watched her juggle multiple checkout issues, train another employee, and stock items..all with a pleasant attitude.

Was duplicate charged for an item. Requested resolution. Manager on duty was haughty and implied I was lying about only having received one of the items I was charged for twice on my EMAILED receipt. "Her store counts weren't off" she said! What ever happened to the concept of "the customer is always right"? Forget that my total purchases that day were over $150. This CVS employee would rather accuse a long time customer of lying and forfeit future sales because "her process" did not jive with what should have been obvious from the charges on my receipt and what I told her I had taken home with me. This woman actually reviewed security camera footage of my checkout and claimed she couldn't tell if I got two of the items because, "it had been bagged so fast". If this is indicative of how CVS trains it's managers to deal with customers they are in serious trouble!! I will NOT spend another nickel in this store!

I recently moved here and selected this CVS to fill my prescriptions. The pharmacist at this location is top notch. He is very professional and thorough. If you want a pharmacist that cares about his patients/customers, he is the real deal!

I have had nothing but good experiences at CVS on Tyler for 20+years. Employees are courteous and helpful. If I have difficulty finding an item an employee will usually find it for me rather than tell me where to find it. Pharmacist available if needed.Don’t wait until you have a negative experience to post.

I so appreciate this CVS and the sweet ladies working yesterday for their help! They were fast, helpful, and friendly. After having a not-so-great experience at a different pharmacy this week, I was so grateful to have such a good experience at CVS off Tyler Road! Thank you!

This CVS is well stocked, organized and conveniently located. Associates are available to help if needed, but they don't follow you around the store or hold the check-out line up making meaningless small-talk; they are fast and friendly which, I'm sure, everyone can appreciate. Like all CVS Pharmacies, the prices are a bit higher than that of their competitors.

The pharmacy employees here are really lazy, just busy talking with each other and rude. Doesn't look like they want to do any work at all, I guess I should have read all the reviews before I went there. First of all they couldn't even find my prescription even though it was sent 4 days ago from my doctor. After visiting multiple times and calling them multiple times, they finally found my prescription but guess what they still don't want me to pick up, so then they created insurance issues. And it's not just for me, I feel like this is their standard flow to harass customers so they never come back and they don't have to do work at all, they did the same thing for my aunt, even though she goes different doctor and have different company insurance .

This is my regular pharmacy and I am very happy with it. Attendants are always nice or beyond, the manager, Tarik Bouakar, is very sweet and patient. He gives you all information and always tries to help. My family and I also received our flu shot and it was smooth and easy.

At first I was told that they could not feel my prescription tonight that I get every month. Then I told her well I have to have it and was told what you're going to have back to come back closer to closing time. The pharmacy has been going downhill progressively since they have changed staff in the past 6 months or so. Severely understaffed, which makes me wonder if I need to start checking to unsure my prescription is correct.

Pharmacist is great. They appear to be understaffed. Workers in the store are helpful but you are expected to self check. Sometimes people, not machines are needed. This would be a good example.

The pharmacy is the absolute worst. They are unapologetically rude, for absolutely no reason. You can read the other reviews. I will be transferring to the local pharmacy. NEVER AGAIN..

The pharmacy workers have always been so rude to me. I am 17 and I get my own prescriptions because I’m old enough to, yet they always seem to judge me. I’m never treated with respect there and they act like I don’t know what I’m doing just because I’m younger, yet as soon as my mother talks to them they’re very nice to her. Really wish they’d treat everyone the same, no matter the age.

Sitting here watching the pharmacy tech drop pills on the floor and putting them in the patients prescription bottle.. I’m not sure if they can touch the pills with their hands.I’m only here bc my mom has an appointment for her second shot. Appointment was for 12. She didn’t receive her shot until 1230. Poor customer service. We just sat here and no one acknowledge us.

I called to see how much a flu shot would be. I wasn’t sure if my insurance would cover it or not. The guy I talked to wouldn’t give me a price on the off chance I had to pay out of pocket for it. Ended up calling mills pharmacy over by the piggly wiggly. They gave me prices for the regular dose and high dose flu shots as soon as I asked.

I used to shop at CVS on a regular basis. They've hired new employees who are so rude. They act like they hate their job, seem to not know which aisle the products are on, and are just plain rude. I'm not the only one talking about this change for the worse. It's a shame, the store previously had very nice helpful employees that actually seemed to want to work.

Just had the worst experience ever of any pharmacy ever. I ordered for a refill online 5 days ago and the service said it would take a while seeing they would have to contact my doctor because I had no refills remaining. Nevertheless I received an email saying it would be ready today. I was skeptical that it went through in the system, so I came to the store and asked a simple question about whether the refill I put in 5 days ago even go through because it did not appear in my online refill history. The lady was very rude and dismissive as well as disinterested in investigating the issue. She did not even want to look at the confirmation email I had received from my order. I will never in life deal with any CVS pharmacy again after this experience.

New pharmacists weekly it seems. Cashiers are never upfront so they just placed a self checkout as the prices keep going up. Where is my employee discount or employee of the month award - since I am now a cashier for free with no training

The cashier, who is an older woman with brown hair always in a ponytail, would keep pressuring me to buy the discount that they provide. She would say that I am making a mistake and that I would basically end up regretting not getting the discount. I continued to say no but she kept pushing. What I find strange is that she always pressures me, a poc, to buy the discount and not other customers.

In town on vacation, had to pick up a prescription for my daughter after she spiked a fever. The pharmacy staff was very friendly, and even though my insurance doesn't cover out-of-network pharmacies, they did everything they could to help out & make the process go smoothly.

Love them! Prescriptions are refilled on time, every time and for less than other places. The people are very friendly, kind, caring and helpful. They even smile. Such a huge difference from the place I used to go. Customer service isn't dead here! ☺️

I've had a few lousy experiences here. Same cashier. In the past, shopping here was pleasant and convenient. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Yesterday, will be my last shopping trip there. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Had an issue with extra bucks we had, cashier asked manager about it, she rolled her eyes and said call the 800 number. So we got screwed and CVS lost a customer.

After 4 months of seeing employees incorrectly masked, with masks over mouth only or even on chin, last night everyone had it on correctly! Why? A new store manager! Kudos!
