Shelf price for large eggs showed $2.02 today but scanned at $2.48. I questioned it and an employee went back to the eggs to check the shelf price. She came back and claimed there was no such price. I know what I saw. Needless to say, I didn't get the eggs. I went back there and, of course, the $2.02 price tag was gone. My guess is she pulled the tag off the shelf. It's very disappointing that an employee would do such a thing. My plan from now on is to take a PHOTO of the price on the shelf so I can prove it was there.

Every Saturday morning I come to this Walmart with no issues other than fighting through the Walmart employee ‘ shoppers’ and their gigantic carts. I decided this Sunday morning to go back and pick up a few items I had forgotten. Checking out in the self checkout line I’m approached by a young 12-year-old looking employee, telling me to put all of my items on the conveyor belt instead of pulling them straight out of my buggy to scan them like I was doing and always have , I mean that basically keeps you from lifting and touching everything twice. I’m 51 years old with a bad back and this just hit me the wrong way. If they had all cashers wouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure there’s a reason behind this, but how about put up signs, informing every one of your new policy instead of approaching us at the register like we’ve done something wrong and maybe have more cashiers. I may or may not be back to this one

THESE PEOPLE ARE INCOMPETENT. I just moved to Helena and thought I hit the jackpot because there was a Walmart nearby. Unfortunately because of their incompetence I will gladly drive to Alabaster or Hoover. I ordered from the website and when I arrived the order wasn't ready, but ok I'll wait for it. When I got home to cook, what I ordered and what I received wasn't the same. So I have to trek all the way back just to be informed that they probably substituted the product, when asked why would they not inform me of the substitution I was answered with the classic "I don't know". My money was refunded for the wrong products and when I asked for the receipt for the refund I was given a whole attitude. I'm sorry shouldn't I have the attitude. I then went to look for the original product that I ordered and what did I find? An overabundance of it in plain site. First impressions are lasting. I will never return to this walmart. Poor service and even poorer attitude/customer service.

Online pickup.. the young man who loaded the car was very courteous. He verified I was good with the substitutions. Always great service at Helena WM.

WORST PICKUP EXPERINCE EVER POSSIBLE. Apparently if this lot is full for pickup, go ahead and turn around. THEY WILL NOT BRING IT OUT TO YOU EVEN AFTER CHECKING IN AND SAYING "PICKUP LOT IS FULL, NO SPOT LISTED", "RED CAR" AND ALL THAT. excuse was "well we dont know where your spot is." Well that doesn't work when i call after waiting 40 minutes, have an employee knowledge im sitting out there waiting, and they have a description of my vehicle. I left after nearly an hour of waiting. Called support and filed a compliant. They agree if i mark "lot is FULL", they still need to bring it out.

I don’t understand how a store as big as Walmart can run out of items, especially basic items like milk. My husband was there today and the whole shelf was bare. If this was the first time it would be different, but this happens all the time. Also, I have no clue why they have to keep it so cold in that store. I hear people saying they have to run down the isles to get items so they can hurry and get out. Probably missing a lot of sales since people are taking their time.

I bought some cube steak a few weeks ago. I opened it when I got home and it had a bad smell. Other than that, I have not had any problems.

They've generally been good to us. We've used them for 2.5 years and everyone is generally helpful.

While the Market is conveniently located. I have notice that at night the parking lot is not lit at all over 8 pairs of light are not on in the parking a unsettled experience at night. The pic below does not due it justice but highlights some of the lights that are out or not on.

Not sure the carts were sanitized. The store was relatively empty. The shelves were scarce for some things. We made it through the self serve cashier fairly quickly. There rarely is any customer service but I guess that is what you get for the discounted prices.

I've never been able to get everything on my list here. They are horrible at stocking the shelves. They will have things in stock but not actually put them out on the shelves for weeks. They leave food items that are over a month past the expiration date on the shelves.Edit: changed from one star to three. Stocking has improved slightly. The main reason for the bump, however, is the friendliness of the cashiers.Second edit: back down to two stars. The stockers are terrible. See my pics of the milk cooler for an examole of how bad they are.

Don’t open any registers with self check out back up to the back of the store!! Brilliant

The number of Walmart employees standing around and watching people approach the front of the store to checkout just to, not help check them out as one would think, but to merely watch them as though they’re encountering zoo animals coming up to them in a cage is astounding. Two registers were initially opened, but one young lady with with short red hair quickly let us all know she wasn’t opened. So, this meant only one checkout lane was opened with one Walmart employee ringing people up, otherwise you could utilize one of their three self checkout lines. Eighteen patrons approached the checkout area and the other employees stood there, gazing upon us. If this is your idea of great customer service, maybe you should do a self evaluation. If negative stars were a thing, this store would receive negative five stars!

Great place but half the staff sux, other half are greatReview Update: Well I had hoped that I would be telling you that there is a new staff that is awesome but unfortunately instead of only half the staff being rude, it has now gotten to be 75% rude, 25% just alright and I swear that the 75% group are being held captive by Walmart who makes them work for $1.50 an hour for which Walmart garnishes half so they can feed them bologna sandwiches on the bread that ends up moldy on the shelves and they only get one phonecall to their family every 3 months

Good service and smiling faces most of the time. The service from grocery pick up could be better. Food could be bagged better. Maybe receive more training on placing in vehicles. No body wants smashed bread before you leave store. But that comes with more experience and more training.

I waited outside over thirty minutes for an order that I was informed was ready prior to my arrival. Six or seven cars pulled up after me and were approached and loaded immediately. Not once was I approached or asked about my order. I called in and finally had my order brought out by an employee who very rudely slammed my trunk very hard.

It doesn't have everything i want or need but it is conveniently close and friendly service.Fair prices and usually fast and speedy checkouts. Id choose this over a crowded regular walmart any day.

Shopping here is a havoc. If you’re lucky you’ll get a cart that isn’t broken or you have to use all your strength to separate it from other carts. Once you get to the actual shopping part nothing is rotated so even the canned goods are expired. 80% of The meat section is bad or nearly bad meat, same with the dairy and the bread. Things are out of stock or stacked high on a shelf above where it’s supposed to be and the employees disappear when you need them. Once you complete shopping you’ll have one register open if you’re lucky. You can place all your food items on a dirty conveyor belt that probably hasn’t been cleaned since the store opened. If you don’t want to wait in a ridiculously long line, you can opt for self checkout but if you have cough medicine, alcohol, or cash you’d be better off waiting in line because the employees will not assist. If you need to cash a check, money order, or return/exchange you’ll be better off driving to another Walmart because you will wait forever because the manager on duty will usually be engaged in a personal conversation with an another associate which by their standards is more important than performing the job role. Make sure you pay with card because otherwise they won’t have enough money for cash back. Make sure you have your receipt too because they will not take anything back regardless if they saw you walk out 20 seconds ago. That’s if the manager doesn’t make up a ridiculous story about how they can’t do return/exchanges after a certain time. Any other walmart in this area is 20 times better than this one. 😂

Again self checkouts are a major turnoff. Staff was busy stocking the shelves but they seem to be out of many items. My trip inside was quick so I didn't get to go up and down every aisle. We are grilling to feed several teenagers hanging out at our house since school is out for the week. Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and chips always hit the spot.

Good, clean store. I do wish they would go back to pre-pandemic stocking so all the product and associates wouldn’t be in the way.

I really enjoy this store. They are busy during the obvious busy hours b I think they have quite a few self check out lanes where you can scan the items yourself and pay in the line and if y I u need help bagging or bringing it out to your car there is always an associate right there to help. I really like there system.

I’m giving 4 stars because I have mixed feelings about this store. I’ll start with the bad first, since I’m an optimist, lol. One thing I really dislike about this store is how understocked it is. Every time I come to the Helena Walmart, they’re either extremely low or completely out of a few things that I want. I understand supply and demand can be a bit challenging at times, but this happens so often. I also really miss this store being open later. That was very convenient when I needed something late during the night. However, this store’s employees are very friendly. They are usually very eager to help when there’s a technical difficulty with the self check-out. They also make sure they speak, smile, and wish you a good day when you leave; and it even sounds genuine. It makes me feel welcome and I appreciate it. I also like how convenient the location is, especially since I live less than a mile from this store. :)

I always enjoy shopping this location. The store is well maintained, shelved stocked (within reason) and employees are eager to help as u pass them. I especially like the abundance of self checkout lanes. This location has received Walmart’s screen update, which has a more convenient user face in my opinion. This is my “go to” if I’m close by. 👍👍🇺🇸😁

Not worth saving a few cents. The workers up front are great, but the isle are packed with workers stocking or filling pick up orders. They stand in the middle of the isle, completely oblivious to the customer, testing or talking half the time. The children that work there are usually found hollering in the side room by the pharmacy. For some reason they allow them to be in there screaming and playing around. I’ll take my money to Publix from now on.

Almost every time I go in there I swear I won't go back. The store is clean, I can usually find what I'm looking for. Now the downside which aggravates me so bad I'm now convinced it is worth the drive to shop where they actually have cashiers. Yesterday, which was a Friday, I ran in with 3 kids to pick up a few things. Mission accomplished. Then I started looking for a lane that was opened with a cashier. Found one with the light on but a lane closed sign on the conveyor. 3 cashiers, I know them by sight, were walking around up front and standing talking. What they were not doing was ringing up customers. I HAVE A JOB. I DO NOT WON'T TO GO TO THE STORE AND DO SOMEONE ELSE'S JOB. It was quite a feat trying to scan and bag my groceries and keep a 2 year old from climbing out of the buggy. If you are trying to go to 100% self check out, congratulations, you just lost my business. People love to tell me how Amazon is putting box stores out of business but let me tell you when I can order what I want and have it delivered to my front door with no delivery fee, well I don't need you.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market is a fantastic concept compared to the "Super" Walmart. The size is manageable and selection vast. The team members are eager to assist if needed. Great prices on items for the home. Outstanding customer service while shopping or at checkout. I personally like to utilize self checkout. Parking lot has more than ample spaces. It can be challenging to exit parking lot if you're turning left depending on the time of day (peak traffic times).

I respect Walmart ever since CEO Lee Scott said he was coming for my smartphone wallet back in…2002. Doesn’t make me want to go inside one. This neighbourhood one is just great, though. It gets crowded after work and weekends, but not at night. This one just nails what I want to buy.

This Neighborhood Wal-Mart is always clean and well-stocked. I've noticed that on busy days there are normally three or four cashiers working and several self-checkout lanes open as well. Everyone I have interacted with here is friendly and helpful. This is definitely my favorite grocery store.
