This is a great alternative to the large pet stores downtown, and the staff is helpful. The only downside is it’s size, which meant we had to head into Huntsville to get the rest of what we needed for our aquarium.

Had my dog groomed yesterday. They did a great job. She is nervous around new people. They made her comfortable and did a really good job. Very happy with their work. Will be back in 2 months.

I love taking my baby dog here. I was able to find her a purple halter type collar. She also got her hair cut on her face while she was here at the attached groomer in here.

I went on to get a couple of fish, very common fish and they didn't have them. In fact their inventory of fish was terrible, they hardly had any fish at all. Their prices are higher than the other per stores I go too. They are about 15 miles from me and the better pet stores are around 25 miles from me so looks like I'll be driving a few extra miles. Now the employees are nice enough just young. So it's not a bad store just low inventory and higher prices.Edit .Went to Pet Depot today and was pleased by the inventory they had. The man that helped me was friendly and knew his fish stuff. They keep this up and they'll be my one main store to shop for fish and accessories.Went by today to pick up some sealer for my tank and to my surprise they had it in stock. Everytime I go there they are moving up the ladder. They are beginning to be my first stop for aquarium items.

Small pet store, but it has everything you need to care for your pet. Offers a good selection of natural foods. Great service, and it's close to home. We shop here for our Cane Corso and 2 cats

Never again shop at this location. Customer service non existence. My wife stopped there on Monday 2-06-23 to purchase diapers for menstruating dog. She purchase XXL size. Went to parking lot and decided to try on our dog. They were small. Within 20 Minutes went back in to exchange for xxxl. The acting manager refused to exchange because THEY DID NOT GIVE HER A RECEIPT. She paid cash $20.00. He saw they look on her face and got an attitude with my wife. All she wanted was exchange not refund. What a d***!!!!

Only one time I went into this store and didn't like it because an employee was rude, almost silent other than telling me my total, and didn't make me feel welcome. Other than that their prices are fair and they have a pretty good selection of things your pet may need. AND if there's ever a tornado warning, they don't mind letting you and your pets stay safe in the bathroom!!

New owners did not disclose new pet grooming policies to clients. Had an appointment for two months. Took our doodle to get groomed, and he was turned away. I understand being under new ownership and the hiccups that come with it, but not disclosing new policies to the owners that are already booked is trash.

Bought a item for my dog and was told that if it didn't fit I could return it. The girl told me they could look it up with my credit card if necessary..It did not fit my dog so about a week later I attempted to return it and was met with a very flippant attitude by the employee. He refused to allow me to return it or even offer me a store credit without a receipt or being a club member. My advice to anyone would be to shop online, its cheaper than this store.. And crazy enough you don't have to have the bad attitude..

They took my 15 yr old, scared to death baby as a walk in to get nails clipped, and Catrina was awesome! I didn't realize that he had left a present in the floor, and the staff was so great about it! 5 stars for all!

Very rude and poor customer service. Lacks knowledge about establishing and maintaining an aquarium, along with caring for various types of fish. Pet Smart is the total opposite and that's where I will shop for all of my pet needs.

I’ve had great Experiences with the ones that have Helped me. The Favorite Girl I like to Deal with last time I seen her she was working Monday and Tuesday,. I don’t have her name but I have talked to her a lot a person in a Store that you talk to that makes you feel Comfortable is the biggest thing to me.I feel comfortable with about ALL the People work there!😁😃

Store doesn't carry much for exotic pets such as reptiles. They seem to be mostly focused on fish, dogs, and cats. They have about 3-4 short aisles for birds, reptiles, and rodents. The staff is younger and they good off a lot but are friendly. There is usually only 2 to 3 employees there at a time. They aren't very educated on the items they sell and their proper uses.For example: I own 2 rats. I was looking for a hide for them that they would like to chew on and make their own nests. I picked up a straw looking hide and seek what it was made of and they didn't know. I had to call the number and ask the company. When I told the petdeopt employee it was made of hay he said "oh okay then its fine then for them to have it!"Hay is deadly to rats and should NEVER be given to them and here is this pet Depot employee telling DANGEROUS information to people who think they know what they're talking about. I know it would be a tedious process but why not have a system that tells them what item is safe for what animal and what items are dangerous for others?Just PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK before you put or give anything to your pets if you don't know if it's safe and a pet store employee said it was.

This is a very convenient location for us. They have most of the necessities for any pet owners (fish, lizards, dogs, cats, snakes, etc.), but some oddball things may not be here, depending on how picky you (or your pet) are. Most everything we need we can get here, and save ourselves a longer trip to huntsville. The store seems to be pretty clean, and most of the staff has been very helpful!

Great place. Always has what we need or don't need but still buy! We recently got a puppy and Pet Depot has a good selection of items for puppies. We love their bakery dog treats that are sold per pound. They are a big hit and there are tiny ones for small dogs.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Aquariums are taken care of and clean. Ive purchased fish from there numerous times they all have survived and thrived. Prices for fish are in line with other retail pet stores. The awards program is actually worth signing up for.Cons, small selection of freshwater fish, aquarium prices are generally higher than other chain pet stores, dog food is priced higher than my local Tractor supply for the same brands.

Super cool store. Nice to finally have a store that carries reptile supplies in Hazel Green. Their prices are definitely lower than some of the bigger pet supply stores in Huntsville. Staff is way cool and the manager is awesome.

Unfriendly staff. Me and my 3.5 year old son were ignored. No greeting, nothing. We were going to buy an aquarium, fish, and all accessories. More employees than customers than customers in the store at the time. Son was disappointed. Drove across the street and spent $400 at walmart instead. I guess we were invisible. This place won't be in business long with these attitudes. Go to walmart, they acknowledge you.

Professional yes. Rude and unfriendly... definitely yes! Today was a first and last visit to any Pet Depot. I will go the extra mile and drive to Hollywood Feed where they treat me and my dogs as if we are welcome not UNWELCOME.

I have a friend of mine that bought a ferret from she said was the manager of pet Depot in Hazel Green she would not give me a name and she would not post this so I did for someone that is a manager at a pet store the animal that she had sold her from her home that she had had for a few months was in very poor condition pretty much starved very skinny and malnourished it's sad how some people just does not deserve pets. I personally will not be shopping at this particular pet Depot because if I run into that person I might have to say something. If I had a corporation like this I would not have someone like that working for my company if they treat their own animals at their home this way then how are they treating the animals in the pet store?

the grooming service is terrible. we paid good money to not even see a change in our dog's haircut. she came home looking the exact same as before and they wouldn't even fix it, the biggest waist of money!
