The best hardware store in my area! I have to make sure I don't have anywhere to be when I go here...lol...I can easily spend an hour or two just looking at things. Huge selection and excellent customer service.

You can just about put money on finding what you need here. I had at least three separate employees ask if I needed help finding something which is pretty rare nowadays. Prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for just one bolt to complete a project, they will probably have it. This is always my first stop when needing something.

I went into the store this morning to do a return but the lady at the desk told me that I can only return at a specific Ace because they are independently owned and something about not sharing profits. After leaving, I checked the return policy online and it clearly states that you can return to ANY Ace Hardware Store with a possible 15% restock fee, which means that the lady just didn't want to process my return. Very unprofessional but, unfortunately, I have had similar treatment being a person of color living in the south. I will not be purchasing from that store ever again.

Superior! Our cashier, man I wish I could remember her name, was amazing! She was so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and patient as we were there past the stores closing time. She made sure to tell us there was no rush and to find absolutely what it was we needed before leaving! She was a breath of fresh air compared to most retail employees as of late.

I live nearby and I stopped in to checkout Ace Hardware for the first time. They are well stocked in so many things! I'm excited I won't need to run to Lowe's or Home Depot for gardening supplies and other household things. The traffic in Madison is crazy and i want to avoid it if possible. They have a little bit of everything. The women who checked me out was so nice it was refreshing and honestly gave me a boost. The store was really clean and well lit. I will definitely be returning soon. It's a great addition to Harvest!

I've always loved Ace Hardware Stores, regardless of the Cities & States that I've lived in. The Staff are always very knowledgeable about the products that are on the shelves. This particular Ace Hardware was no exception. This was my 1st visit to this Ace Hardware & it was a very positive experience. I was Greeted as I entered the store by a young man behind the cash register counter. I had a small shopping list so I asked this young man where in the store I could find each item on my list. He directed me, correctly, to each aisle that had what I was looking for. I had multiple choices (selections) of each item, depending on how much $ I was willing to pay (Good, Better, Best). I was pleasantly surprised that Ace carried many items that were MADE IN AMERICA, which is something that is important to me. All the aisles that I visited were clutter free, their floors clean & the Store was brightly lit. The woman at the cash register, who had just relieved the young man for his break, was friendly & courteous. I found that I paid a little more for my entire purchase, than if I would have purchased these items in L***'s or H**e D***t, but I was really impressed with the Quality of the items I purchased; plus I live closer to this Ace Hardware, so I do not have to drive into Madison or Huntsville for my hardware, tools & home improvement needs. If you use Google Maps to find this Ace Hardware, make sure the Directions put your final destination off of Hwy 53 near Publix in Harvest, NOT in a suburban residential neighborhood. Ace Hardware is aware of the issue & is working with Google to correct it.

I love this place. It's very convenient to the houses in Harvest. And despite the small size, they have always had everything I needed. And you can't beat the customer service. It's the Chick-fil-A of hardware.

I was shopping in the Ace Hardware store and suddenly had to use the restroom. I was informed that there was "No public restroom". Note, this was not in the middle of the Covid pandemic so there is no excuse for this policy. I had to leave my cart that was full of items (some of them quiet expensive), get in my car and drive down the street to find a restroom. What kind of business has a "No public Restroom Policy"? One that doesn't care about their customers. This is totally unacceptable and very disrespectful to your customers. I do not plan to return to Ace Hardware as a result of their no public restroom policy and I hope other customers will do the same. NO RESTROOM NO BUSINESS.

Sorry, this is a rather long comment. First, on a positive note. The store looks great and it's great to have a good hardware store so close. Also, the personnel were knowledgeable which usually is why I prefer stores like this over Big box retailers.So I've had a day to consider my experience at this store. I was excited to have a reason to go to the new Ace store not too far from me. It didn't go well. And for perspective, I almost never strongly complain. But, to start, I'm exceptionally busy and need a place that is easy for transactions and returns. So, being busy, I went to the shed and found out I didn't have the key for the pad lock. I ran to Ace and picked up a small bolt cutter. Coming home, I tried twice on the lock and realized it was too small.Returning to the store, I tried to return the item within 30 minutes of purchase (with receipt) to buy a large Bolt cutter. This is when I found out about the 'no return' for used items policy. OK, I can accept that. I won't be able to shop there. But I accept that. The problem? From my perspective, the owner was rude. 'No, we won't take that back. It's used' he said. IMO, 'I'm sorry, we're an independent franchise and we can't afford to take back used items' would have been a much better response.One other story. Last year, I bought a push mower at Lowes. I tried it and it wasn't sufficient. I took it back and got a more powerful mower. They took it back no questions asked. Had I bought it at this Ace? Nope, no returns on used items. I could be wrong but I also assume you can't bring back defectives items (it's under warranty so deal with the manufacturer?) I could be wrong there. But again, with all that's on my plate, I need easy returns. With all that said, I wish this store well. We need you here.

On 3 separate occasions, their online inventory states something is in stock. I drive 20 minutes to get said item, and the shelf is empty. The employees then tell me they don’t have it in the back either. Then I have to drive an additional 30 minutes each way to Lowe’s instead.This time, they tried to tell me a Satin can of stain was the same thing as a Transparent can I needed. My deck is half complete with transparent. I showed them a picture of the last can, and they continued saying the item I showed them was what they were showing me.If I hadn’t known better, I would’ve bought the wrong stain, which is irreversible on a deck. Would’ve literally ruined my deck.Fix your inventory. Pay attention to what you’re telling people.

As of this writing (late August 2021), the store is a brand new store. They just opened a few weeks ago. Being a new store, everything is squeaky clean and everything is on place. The ladies there were super nice and helpful. I would go back again because they are convenient to go to and have good selections of hardware.

The staff here is AMAZING! They always go above and beyond. Prices are a bit higher than the larger hardware stores, yet the service makes it worth it!
