My husband took our dog for grooming yesterday. The same scheduled de-sheading, shape up grooming we do this time of year since we have had him. Pet Depot which is now Pet Supplies Plus has always done great until this time. They SHAVED our poor dog and gave him a poodle cut!!! He looks ridiculous!!!! And they still charged us the $30 for desheading treatment even though they SHAVED our beautiful long haired dog!!!! We will NEVER use them again! I don't know what happened to our normal groomer there but this one was awful!!! I never write negative reviews but I am so disappointed and I how this doesn't happen to another pup. They should have called before they decided to take shavers to our dog. They called 1:20pm stating he was taking longer because he was scared and they had an issue with his grooming but I never expected this; he was dropped off at 9am and wasn't ready until 4:49pm!!! The ladies working in the store tonight were so sweet and friendly! They loved on my baby and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back to get more treats soon!

I have had pet snakes for over 10 years and never had issues. After Pet Depot was bought out by this company and started selling new frozen feeder mice, I had two of my pet snakes die within 2 months. Both deaths were a day or 2 after feeding… I will never be purchasing ANYTHING for any of my animals from this store ever again. Not even for my cat. I’m done.

Went this past Saturday and didn't feel welcomed at all. We looked around at the aquarium area for 15 minutes, no one offered to help us and we were the only customers in the store at the time. So, I had to go to the front and ask for help. The lady that came to help us was so dry and nonchalant to every question I asked. Not a good experience

I took my rescued 6 month old mastiff mix for a bath and the girls in the back we’re so polite and treated my dog with love. Great experience! Will definitely be back!

Employees are kind and welcoming - asked if we needed help multiple times. Groomers are awesome! Our dog loves Brittany and Cassidy. Love having a pet store nearby.

This is quite literally the worst stocked pet store I have ever visited. The employees are so nice, and I feel so sorry for them always having to apologize for how terrible the store is. They blame supply chain due to covid, but that stopped being a valid excuse months ago. They blame the ownership transition, but things were bad before the change. One associate said that all of the employees were just as frustrated as all of the customers, and her co-workers nodded in agreement. We never get what we went in for… we either have to settle for a different product or leave empty handed. We have started there looking for high dollar items because we live in Hartselle, but end up driving to Decatur to a different franchise.

Place is literally a joke. They should actually get people that know what they are doing.They also will not let you hold the animal you are inquiring to buy, I don’t know bout you but I’m not buying something I can’t hold and see its temperament and hand-ability.
