Poor customer service. Every time I’ve been there I have to look for someone to check me out or they’re too busy talking to each other. I’ve had 2 employees tell me they have a self check out for a reason meaning they don’t HAVE to check anyone out Or be up there to monitor anything. It’s literally your job.Today when I went there I tried telling the bleach blond lady it was very rude of her to talk to another “customer” (turns out she was an off the clock employee) the whole time she was checking me out instead of greeting me because she never said a word to me besides my total & just kept talking off to the lady on the side. Then after getting in my car she sent the lady outside to take a picture of my license plate. I found it odd so I recored going back in to ask why and she proceeds to act like I was causing a scene by commenting on her customer service. She told me she was a manager and I asked to speak to higher up and she told me she was almost there so I was going to wait and she proceeded to argue with me and the bigger lady who she said was a customer then threaten me and said “I’m not on the clock right now” acting as if she was going to lay her hands on me in front of my 3 year old son. I asked her what she was going to? Are you threatening me? Then the “manager” said I need to leave and I said I did nothing wrong I’m waiting for the other manager if you want me to leave you can call the police.Police got there quick took my side of what happened and theirs. Long story short she wanted me trespassed so I couldn’t come there anymore because they’d rather continue their poor customer service and do whatever they want on the clock rather than do what they’re actually there to get paid for. While speaking to the officer even he was agreeing that I didn’t do anything and she can’t take constructive criticism but still has to do as she wishes.All I did was try to tell her to make her customers feel more welcome when you’re at the register, take care of us first then continue your conversation after the customer leaves. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just bought several packs of bottled water and the cashier Plus the store is easy to get in and out of so it's convenient and the shelves are always well stocked. I give this store five stars. wasn't busy so he helped me carry them out to my car! How often do you find that these days?

I came in today [8-8-22] just to pick up some drinks & I HAVE to brag on the sweet woman who was managing the store! It's been a rough few days and her kindness really stuck with me. She even took the time to help me pick out something for my sons birthday tomorrow. I wish I would've gotten her name! If we had more people like her in this world we'd be okay. Thank you!

Grateful for the managers & staff at the Harpersville DG. They work so hard to keep the store tidy, clean & stocked. Professional & friendly service - an asset to our community. Thank you ladies!

The employees here are great. 5 stars for the employees but 1 star for whoever orders for this store. Now don't go to this one and think you are going to get what you need because they either don't carry it to begin with or they are almost always out of stock. They don't even carry hot chocolate or prepackaged oatmeal.

When I entered, I was smiled at and eye brows were raised, to show an interest, if there was an inquiry I had, they would help. I never felt ignored. But I never had a feeling of being on display or as a safety risk. It was enjoyed.Thanks 😁🤟all.( happy/ I love you all)

Excellent selection, good prices, and kind staff. I could never have asked for a better Dollar General experience. In all my life I've never been to a better Dollar General than this. When I look back on my visit to this Dollar General it brings me some much joyful delight that I can hardly bear it! This. This Dollar General right here is the reason why i get out of bed every morning. Just knowing that a Dollar General like this exists in this very state, country, continent, world, solar system, galaxy, and universe makes me happy beyond compare! Please take a nice little trip to this Dollar General and you will surely experience this same feeling of utter and complete ecstasy as I did when walking into this fine shopping establishment. Thank you for existing.

Great place to shop!!! Love it!!! It is addictive very much so!! Very hard to buy just 1 item because I look at everything trying to find good deals for myself and my family. I would recommend to anyone else to go to this store. M.R. 😃

Just left the Dollar General. Cashier was extremely rude. Had to wait a long time to get checked out. She told me I would have to go to the other regisyer. One customer, a man, was complaining about it taking so long. The cashier told him to just leave, she said she didn’t care! Rude service!!! Will not shop there again! Too many other stores around.........

The store was stocked very well aside from tobacco products. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the location of items, as well as friendly and inviting. Great store and very much needed in that area.

I bought an extra item to put me over the $25 so I could save $5 on my DG app coupons. The cashier totaled it before I could hit digital coupons so it wouldn’t let me. The manager on duty basically told me tough luck and there’s nothing they could do. Very incompetent employees that work there. I will not be back.

Quick in and out stop. The aisles are pretty tight but this store is organized and well maintained shelves. They have a large variety of household goods.

it would be nice if the store in Harpersville,Al. would have the Gro.on the shelf and not in the boxes on the floor and iles where you can't get through to some parts of the store,one or two good employees can not do it all,( and if they could) come back to work and it is right back the same,and the shelf is still empty and the Grocery are still in the box.

Ok prices and helpful staff. My one suggestion to Dollar general is; hire more people, cashiers are not stockers and Managers are not workhorses.

Harpersville location is very close to home store is clean shelves are full staff always helpful and friendly even 2 minutes before closing... Great place to shop.

Restroom wasn't the cleanest based on odor but I rate a 4-star because having a hand soap dispenser with soap, paper towels, and tissue is (always) a plus for me!
