When Keeley had grown increasingly dog aggressive and she had no where else to go, after being evicted from our apartment complex, and everyone had all but given up on her. We received a call that she was to be euthanized same day. I was put in contact with HTC by a friend, who highly recommended them. And they immediately made room for her! She stayed for 3 weeks training and becoming the best version of herself! When we picked her up at the end of her stay I could not believe this was the same dog we had dropped off just 3 weeks prior. We learned so much about how to continue to help Keeley grow. They equipped us with knowledge and tools so that we felt confident to love her in the best way possible. She is now thriving on campus with her people who love her so much. Thank you Highland Canine Training for saving our fur baby!

Highlands Canine is absolutely top-notch! My dog Maggie was in training there for three weeks. She was well cared for by all and especially her trainer, Wyatt. He was patient and diligent with her and boy did it ever pay off. Maggie is a different dog now thanks to her experience at this facility. No more pulling, tugging, jumping, biting the leash to get away....I was beginning to think there was no hope for her as far as discipline. That stubborn streak was broken and I have Highlands to thank wholeheartedly! I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet that is a force to be reckoned with. Trust me....I speak from experience 🐕

We had such a great experience with Highland K9! Shae was the trainer of our 6 month old standard poodle. She worked so well with him and we were completely comfortable with our boy being gone for 6 weeks knowing he was in good hands. Shae provided us with weekly updates and we were super impressed with the progress our dog made during his time there. I highly recommend!

Our experience with this training company was great! Our pup Dax, a Belgian Malinois, went there for their 6-week program. We got regular updates with photos and videos. Wyatt, the trainer, did a good job training our pup! We are very excited for our future with our pup!

Choosing Highland Canine was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My pit bull puppy went in with behavior problems, very rambunctious, and absolutely no obedience at all. When we picked him up he was calmer, knew all of his commands and was no longer dog aggressive. It’s amazing how much the 6 week program changed him. Corey was very quick to give me a call when I needed help and got me in that weekend for his program. Now onto the best part of this program… the trainers. Shae was absolutely wonderful and I am so glad she was apollos person during his stay. She let me know everything from the good things he did and the bad things. She sent videos and pictures every week. My puppy absolutely adored her. If you need help with your dog this is the place to go. I will definitely be using this program with future dogs of mine.

Choosing Madison at Highland to train my dog was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! When doing research about different training places, I reached out to Madison and she came to my house to meet with me and my pup. I was a little hesitant at first about sending my dog somewhere for an extended period of time, but after meeting with Madison, and seeing her interact with my dog, I knew it would be the best option, and I was right! It was like Christmas morning going to pick my dog up after 3 weeks, and seeing everything he had learned was just incredible. No more jumping, countersurfing, he walks on his leash without dragging me everywhere, and he will actually listen to me now! I really appreciated the time Madison took to show us all of Mac’s new commands, and also how she took the time to make sure we were comfortable with his commands, and we got to practice with her right there. We still practice everyday at home, and my dog gets so excited when I pull his collar out! It makes me happy to know that even though he was away at training, and learning new things, he still had fun and that’s all thanks to Madison! I have been recommending Madison to my friends and family, and if you’re thinking about dog training I would definitely recommend her to you too!

Picked up my girl today from her 3 week on leash board and train program!!! Madison was wonderful and has worked magic on my doodle!! I picked her up a different dog than I dropped off. Communication during the program was a game changer for me and the fact that I felt like I didn’t have to worry. I would highly recommend Madison and Highland Canine training Alabama!

We are so thankful for Highland Canine Training!! Our husky puppy was very protective over food and other items in our home, and was worsening over time as he got older. We sent him in for their advanced board and train and by the time we picked him up, we could finally approach him and pet him while he was around food with no problems! Our trainer Shae gave us updates throughout the entire time he was with them, and was so sweet! Could not recommend enough!!

Choosing to send our silver lab puppy, Koda, to Highland Canine Training was hands down the best decision we could have made! Madison did a phenomenal job, in every way, but we especially appreciated her communication and diligence. Upon pick up, she demonstrated everything Koda learned during his time at Highland Canine. My husband and I were blown away at the results! We really appreciated that she also spent time teaching us how we can continue the training at home and implement it every day. I am very grateful for Highly Canine Training. My story is a little different than everyone else’s. I lost my husband to Covid last May and our lab two days before Christmas. I received a lab from Highland Training who is only 6 months old. She is very healthy, well-trained and doesn’t even have the habit that all labs have of chewing up everything in sight. She follows all commands and is very sweet. She doesn’t bark at other dogs in the neighborhood and doesn’t jump on others. She is an answer to my prayers and I need her as much as she needs me. I will forever be in debt to Highland Training. They helped me when I needed it most, not to mention the phenomenal job they did with training my new pup!

We want everyone who is looking for training for their dog to know, Highland Canine and Madison Kimbrough are amazing! Like many pet owners, our biggest concerns when choosing a training facility were the care our dog would be provided with while being trained and the quality of training she would receive. We are highly impressed with the facility and what our girl has learned while there. Our weekly updates put us at ease as we saw that Madison was right, Rylee WAS having the time of her life! She was actually enjoying learning. We were even surprised at how she had bonded with Madison and especially her student trainer, Heidi. Heidi and Madison did an amazing job with Rylee. That’s saying a lot for only three weeks of training on a hardheaded heeler. Lol! Madison has a passion for training dogs and it definitely shows in her work! We look forward to being able to travel with our dog and enjoy her even more because of the hard work Madison and the staff at Highland Canine put into training her.

I sent my 9 month old German shepherd, Maverick, to Highland Canine Training - Alabama and am so thankful I did! His trainer, Shae, went above and beyond with him. She sent me weekly updates on his progress as well as pictures, and even gave him cuddles while he was away from home! I highly recommend the 6 week on and off leash obedience program. Maverick has retained all of his commands and we are continuing to work on them at home. They even guarantee lifetime training! Couldn’t recommend them more.

I used Highland Canine for some private in-home training sessions for my 10 year old American Eskimo (Lola) and was amazed at Shae's abilities to teach my older dog some new tricks! Shae's approach to training was both effective, but also very respectful of my dog's needs and abilities. I would highly recommend this group for both in-home and on location training. You can clearly see how invested they are in training dogs properly.

Very close friends of mine just recently picked up their 2 dogs from here & both dogs are super sick! Some new version of kennel cough, hook worms, round worms & god knows what else. They use shock collars when they promised they didn’t. Hoping their dogs get better..

Madison at Highland Canine Training is amazing. She worked with our German shepherd rescue who had not only dog aggression but also health issues during her stay that required treatment. She went above and beyond to meet me to get medication from the vet and keep me updated on her health. From a training perspective, our dog has been able to work through her aggression, going from lunging while walking by dogs to being able to walk side by side with a dog. Madison has given us the tools to continue to work with her at home. Thank you!

Madison and the rest of the employees at Highland Canine Training are PHENOMENAL. Taking my baby was the best thing I could have done for him. Before taking my dog, Leo, to their facility for the 6-week boarding program, I was having extreme issues with obedience and constantly worrying that he might bite someone. Now I can take him into stores and on long walks without worrying that we might get too close to another person or animal. He has had a complete behavior change and seems like a much happier and healthier boy.

They work hard to create a solid basic obedience foundation for each dog and a solid base of knowledge for each pet owner to uphold and maintain the training their dog receives. Highland canines behavioral modification for dogs goes miles above any other company in the industry and really paves the way for the future of behavior modification.Highland Canines school for dog trainers is a great way to set yourself up for success as a professional dog trainer. As someone who has been in the pet care industry for almost 5 years I grew alot as a trainer during their 12 week behavioral modification course and I am extremely happy with the education, experience, and hospitality that I received while attending the southeast campus. The course covered everything from the ethology of dogs to correcting both fear and dominance aggression. The dogs I was assigned for my practical exams were methodically picked to challenge me and really helped to further my understanding of each week's topic and assignments. The hands on experience I received at Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers will forever remain a huge turning point in my career and my understanding of dog training which is why I highly recommend them for anyone aspiring to be a dog trainer or for Trainers looking to further their knowledge and ability in the field.

Shae and Corey are AMAZING!! They were highly recommended and they didn’t disappoint!! Fantastic facility! Shae worked with my boy Buddy who is a Great Pyrenees, Irish Cream Golden Mix…VERY high energy, excitable and a bit stubborn. Shae worked closely with him for six weeks to find out what methods and tools work best for Buddy’s particular needs. The results are AMAZING! Shae truly cares for the pets she trains and their owners. Not only is she an incredible trainer, but she is a wonderful human! 🙏🏻❤️

My sweet doodle girls went for basic training and to alleviate some insecurities. While I missed them like crazy they came home with much better manners. My youngest doodle is not scared of boxes any longer! Highland k9 is fantastic. My dogs learned so much and had a blast out on the farm.
