My review is bittersweet. My interaction with LGVS was at the end of my dog's life. I had moved here about 6 months earlier and had had need for a vet until Atlas got sick.The staff is friendly and compassionate without being overbearing. It was a terrible occasion, but made bearable by these people; that was 5 weeks ago.I have no need of their services anymore, but they will be the first I recommend to anyone in need of a veterinarian.

I could not have ask for a more caring, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Lake Guntersville Veterinary's state of the art skills & treatment plan was amazing to me. I also have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by fee for such services !

We have had great experiences with the staff, Doctor and everyone here. I took our new puppy in for a checkup and everyone was friendly, explained everything about her exam, tests and follow ups. They all did a good job and I will go back.

I called mid day with an emergency situation and they made room for us. Once we got there we were not rushed and everything was thoroughly tested and explained. Very accommodating support staff. Thank you!

We had the Best experience at Lake Guntersville Veterinary. The staff and Dr. Martha are wonderful!! So happy we came here when our boy 🐕 needed help. He is recovering very well, we are so thankful for their services.

Cannot find the words to explain how thankful we are for Dr. Bargo and her staff! We rescued a dog, and she immediately said she would help us as soon as she heard the situation. We will be bringing ALL of our animals here from now on!Not only did she care for Lola without a hesitation, but it truly shows how much she CARES about her patients and her business.

I think my favorite thing about their office is that everyone seems to really love the animals that come in! I've never had a vet staff that cared so much and seemed so happy to take care of my hyper and anxious dogs. They're always happy to love on them!

Took my bunny in for overgrown teeth and was very happy with services and care taken on him. Was sent home with detail instructions and was verbally given very detailed instructions on how to naturally keep his teeth trimmed and his medications. Even sent him home with some of his favorite veggies.

I have a nine year old pittie who has a tendency to be reactive to other animals as well as being anxious in public. Every time I bring her here they make sure she’s quickly taken back to a room and well taken care of. My dog has not gotten this kind of treatment anywhere else. To top it off, they even brought her a blanket to lay on so she would be more comfortable. The person helping us literally sat down on the floor with me and my pup to talk to me about what was going on with her in detail. She explained everything to me so I understood exactly what was happening with my dog and answered all the questions I had. I absolutely love this place and am very thankful for the love they show my pup regardless of her being a lil crazy.

Very nice Vet and their staff. They try to work you in for an emergency. My friend found a beautiful tiny kitten and she was so sick (severe wheezing, upper respiratory infection). They saw her right away when other vets put her off for several days. After antibiotics, love and care... Miss Halo is doing so much better. Thank you LGVS ❤️

Dr Martha Bargo has taken care of my pet family for years. She and her team give personal attention to their patients no matter how busy they are. She takes the time to get to know you and your animals. You never feel rushed through your questions or concerns. You leave with the peace of mind that your babies have had the best possible care.

I recently brought my kitten in with a severe problem. The vet seemed very concerned about her, but in the long run, never acknowledged her again. I am more than disappointed in her lack of action and interest. As a result, my daughter had to have her put down at another vets office. I believe in compassion for those who can't speak for themselves. Enough said..

Extremely nice people! My Bull Terrier’s when I take them are always taken care of. Luke is the sweetest and helps me with my dogs and myself sometimes because im handicapped. The owner Dr. Veterinarian , he was such a gentleman and listened to every word my daughter had and answered all her questions.

Got double billed for nail trim. The girls in the back were very rough with my tiny dog. Instead of holding her, they placed her on the table risking breaking her leg and clearly traumatizing her. She came back with a bloody leg... The vet and team that was there previously NEVER disappointed us! Never made our baby cry in pain nor fear. Wish I knew where they went to! 😕

This is an amazing vets office! I chose this office after a negative experience at another in town, and i couldn’t be happier with my choice. They provide excellent care for all of our animals! (Dogs, cats, and small animals) They have even helped a few of our passed elder animals cross the rainbow bridge with so much compassion and respect. I highly recommend this office to all animal owners!

I have a dog with fear aggression who is high risk for biting - (snapping, really, he's not out to kill anyone, he just wants emphatically to be left alone unless he knows you really well) - but they deal with him really well and are very gentle with him - so if you have a nervous biter they can handle it.

Carley and I saw Dr Bargo for the first time today. She was so kind gentle and loved on my baby girl. That means a lot to me. She has a slightly bulging disk and rather than going straight for the steroids, she is taking a non steroid approach to she if that works first. Can’t lose with Dr Bargo and staff hands down. We will not be going back to the other vet that charges a 20.00 walk in fee and expensive pricing. Kudos Lake Guntersville Vet Services. I will be your client, henceforth!

Had to make an unexpected visit here on a Saturday when our dog was injured during a short family visit. Everyone here was so accommodating and friendly. They took great care of our big guy and helped put us at ease. The process was great from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this business and will be back if anything ever happens while we are in the area again. Thank you guys for all your help!

I cannot say enough great things about Lake Guntersville Vet and Dr. Hawkins! She went above and beyond for our sweet Goldie’s spay. Goldie is usually so nervous but she was so happy and calm when we picked her up. We went back to get her stitches out and she was excited to be there! That was a huge plus for us! Dr. Hawkins was wonderful. She called to check on Goldie the next day and even took this sweet picture with her. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Hawkins.

We can’t say enough good things about the doctors and staff. We brought our very senior dog to them for the first time when he suddenly got very sick. They treated him and us as though Jake was a long-time patient. Unfortunately, we had to put Jake to sleep, but I can’t think of a better group of people to care for our sweet boy in his final days. Thank you, Dr. Hawkins, Dr. Bargo and all the technicians who took care of Jake, watched over him, and gave us good advice during such a hard time. We will never forget this caring and compassionate team! ❤️

The staff and doctors are very friendly with our Anatolian Shepard that began having seizures after we took her in.from a wound on her head after she was dropped off on our road when she was too young to be placed in a traumatic situation she gets nervous but the staff and vets make sure she's comfortable the doctor is amazing she even called us on her own phone to make sure she's doing ok this place is highly recommended...thank you to the staff and the doctors

Would give zero stars if I could. Yesterday morning I found my cat unable to stand, lethargic and meowing/whining in distress. It was very early so no vet offices were open. I called many different vet office’s emergency numbers, including this office’s emergency number. No one answered on the first try which was expected, so I left a voicemail. When some time passed I called again. Once they opened I even called the regular number. No response. I rotated between calling this place and every other vet near me. The part that angers me is that no one ever called back. Every place that I called, texted, and basically harassed didn’t answer or respond, including this clinic. My cat died in my arms. Don’t have an emergency number listed if no one is going to respond. Thanks for nothing.
