UPDATE: As stated in my previous review, I decided to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy due to the the continued issues with Walgreens. The GSA Walgreens did it again!!! They transferred my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. The request was submitted to transfer to CVS & they transferred them to the Publix Pharmacy.I was a satisfied Walgreens customer in another state for about 15 yrs, so when I moved to GSA I had my prescripts transferred here. After 3 years of dealing with what I refer to as the "dysfunctional Walgreens" I will be changing my prescripts to another pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is nice, but for some reason they just can't proficiently handle a prescription order. I have been getting the same prescription every 90 days for 3 years, and they still do not carry it in stock. It has to be ordered and the wait time for the order gets longer each time. For some reason, auto refill doesn't work here, after a couple of refills, it disappears from your account??? I've had the same insurance company for years and the GSA Walgreens still has some type of insurance mix-up 2 or 3 times a year which ends up extending my wait time. This time it has been 10 days. Time to move on to a better pharmacy.

Great place to have prescriptions filled. They notify us by text when they are ready. Also, they have most of our over the counter medical needs. Employees are very friendly and helpful.

This location was a little better than average, it was well stocked with what we needed, especially for the beach location we were in. The staff was friendly and professional, they were knowledgable about locations of product and where to find it. The aisles as well as the parking lot area was very clean in comparison to other drug stores in the beach area.

Dr called in script. Called Walgreens, was told it would be ready after 2pm. Went in at 5 and was told they didn't have any and it would be 2 days before they got any in. Had to transfer to Walmart

Absolutely the worst Walgreens I've ever used in my 49 years on this planet! Zero customer service, the most hateful and rudest people I've ever experienced in any Pharmacy I've ever been to in my life and they do not do what they say they will do. I've been waiting for my prescription to be filled for over 2 months and there is no communication. Walgreens corperate needs to clean house at this location.

I transfered prescriptions to Walgreens 4 months ago and asked them to put my inhaler on auto refill. I have not once had my prescriptions ready on time. I had to go by my doctor's office for a sample to get me through another week until Walgreens could order and get it in. I asked them to put it on auto refill and when I called Friday she told me it wasn't but she would put it on. Needless to say I am switching to Walmart pharmacy.

We were in town for vacation. My blood pressure went up I came into the store and the pharmacist to help me by checking it. I sent this information onto my physician and she sent in medication for me to this location. Heather when I called back she was wonderful and took care of me. Things were resolved in less than an hour and a half. Excellent service and everyone was cheerful

Usually hate pharmacies but this one got me squared away quickly after a car accident on my way to the beach! I was stuck down there for a week longer than expected so wasn’t all bad!They my Dr called and they had it done within the hour even though I had to take an Uber through the drive through!!! Great people down there!

This is my local Walgreens in Gulf Shores I used it to pick up my prescriptions, sometimes I use the drive-thru but most of the time I go inside. The store itself is very clean and organized in the employee seem very friendly. As for the pharmacy it was not crowded, I was able to get my prescriptions within 10 to 15 minutes. I did not have to buy anything so I can't report on any of their products. But the store itself was very clean and the people were very friendly that's what's important

Told me I could pick up my prescription one day and when I went back an extra day later was told a different date. Basically treated like a stereotype because of my prescription and red flagged because of my doctor's mistake. Even though they could verify everything I told them. I've heard this from other people as well. Rude. Constantly out of stuff. Park cars in the drive thru with no signs saying it's closed. Always a line... I understand being busy but my prescription is literally taking two of the boxes it is delivered in and putting them in one of their bags. Now explain how that takes two hours.

This is by far the worse Walgreens I’ve ever been to in my entire life. I had sent in a refill four day’s ago and I was told it would be ready by the end of the night, however when I went to get it they told me it wasn’t ready and to come back the next day. The next day comes and it still wasn’t ready and they told me they had to order my medication. I went back this morning and it still was not ready, being that I had no more medication I went back tonight and they grabbed my prescription bag (I would also like to note they kept saying that they would text me when it was ready and I had to call up and ask and they said it was… never received a text) and told me they were still working on it. After about ten minutes of waiting my boyfriend went and asked them what the hold up was and they “forgot it was ready” and FINALLY gave it to me.

Shout-out to Megan and Elizabeth in Gulf Shores, Alabama who stepped up and went FAR BEYOND the norm! Usually I really have to pressure pharmacy staff and instruct them on what they are able to do regarding our difficult Rx (and insurance) if they would just try - But Elizabeth understood our problem immediately and worked with Megan to figure out how they could help us... Then, she actually called me back (I'm out of state) to let me know - AMAZING! This medication is life changing (there is no substitute) and I know how much trouble it is to get it. Megan and Elizabeth should be commended and rewarded for phenomenal customer service and "going the extra mile" - almost impossible to find these days!!!I've managed countless people through the years and have personally experienced randomly closed Walgreen pharmacies due to staff shortage. I hope you find a way to reward and retain Megan, Elizabeth, and also Heather who helped us immensely at this location back in February 2022, because you just don't find great ones like them these days. Kudos!

This is literally the slowest place. They knew they were getting new customers and yet they still did not compensate for the added traffic.Update: I stood in line for exactly 20 minutes only to have Jessica call others up and continue to ring up not only their prescriptions but also their store purchases than proceed to the back of the store and leave me and the line behind me waiting. The Pharmacist who was extremely kind had to leave her job to complete Jessica's JOB. This is unexcusable. This girl clearly is in the wrong line of work. The little guy that was in the drive-thur also continued to yell at the customers outside to turn off their vehicles extremely rude.

AC in this store been broken for a month! It's early summer and hot as hell and these poor employees suffering, shoppers enduring and it's just unacceptable conditions. Someone some where within this large corporation should get this corrected immediately. I don't know how these employees are able to tolerate it and maintain their professionalism.

Terrible service at Pharmacy on 6/27/18. Urgent care center called in prescription to this Walgreens. 30 minutes later cashier said it wasn't in the system yet but we are "running a little behind". We gave her all name/ins info as requested ahead of time so they would have it. Went back to our hotel, 2 hours later I got a call "one of them was ready". We had 2 so I called and spoke to someone who said yes one was ready and she "guessed" she could have the other ready by the time we got there. When I got there I had to give ALL insurance and name info AGAIN to a different cashier who said none of that info had been entered. We are from out of state and I have never been in a more useless pharmacy than this. Maybe it's hard to get good help at the beach. Don't know.

I was trying to pick up a fedex package here.. when there was no one at that counter I went to the register waited patiently for the older couple in front of me. When i said I was picking up a package Old woman working (I wish I got her name) looked as if she had seen her reflection for the first time in a while and proceeded to try and lie about the hours of fedex in order to deter my business.. when I informed her I know the hours she huffed and made many rude comments under her breath. I tried to tell her to have a good night but she made more rude comments. I feel attacked be for being young when clearly this hag should be close to retirement if not the dirt.

Very disappointed. We came by to get blood pressure meds filled while passing through to go back to Miami. Was hoping it would be a quick wait. No it's 10 am, so it will be ready at 2. Ok we need this so we will cruise around Gulf Shores and grab a bite. Well we go back at 2, to find out it won't be ready now till 4. Yeah horrible service!!!

Walgreen's makes up & changes it's own rules about dates a medication can be filled. (Others pharmacies do not do this) My doctor writes the fill dates on the top of my prescriptions, but the pharmacist seems to know more than doctor & wants to haggle over 24 hours. Also if they're out of stock of half of your medication, do not expect to pick it up when it comes in, because you will have to wait until "it's time" (like a refill) before you may get it. Ridiculous

I’ve been trying to contact the pharmacy in this store for well over 5 days now. Sat on hold for at least 20-30 minutes each time, and NOT ONE PERSON WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. DO NOT CALL this store!!!! Only way to talk to a person is to show up. God forbid if you work a day job and can’t make it during business hours.

The employees at this store and at the pharmacy need some assistance with customer service training. It isn't worth going here, just drive to the next pharmacy and save yourself the headache. The pharmacy workers are some of the worst I have ever dealt with. I would give specifics but then the management would only target that issue instead of the real issue which is that none of them are happy there.

They closed because of an emergency (hurricane 2 hours away). The only store in Gulf shores to close. Literally. I had my daughters prescription sent there, and when I got there the sign said they won’t open until 12pm. So I waited and went back. Now the sign says 2pm. My 16 month old daughter having trouble breathing (croup). So I have to have it resent to Walmart, but in order to get it; now I have to pay for it becuase The closed Walgreens has somebody inside claiming the prescriptions. So my insurance won’t cover it at Walmart since Walgreens claimed it; yet I can’t get it from Walgreens becuase they are closed and no one knows when they will truly open.
