We love to support local small businesses. However, when they charge us for a service they did not or did not know how to perform, we will not be returning. They were to express my dogs anal glands, less then a week later we had to take my dog to the vet, her anal glands were full, had to pay for again.

I debated leaving this review because I was debating on taking my fur babies back but I will NOT. I love supporting local businesses with the idea that the business owners take extra care in quality in their services. But the lady I booked my services with was so rude and dismissive to me because I needed to reschedule my grooming for my pup who needed her vaccines updated. I honestly couldn’t tell if it was that I inconvenienced her time to reschedule or if I’m a woman of color but she utterly looked me up and down with disgust. Mind you I came in person to reschedule at 10:30am because my dogs both see Dr. Warren at VCA Magnolia for the routines. Any woman who can treat the pet owner like that can not groom my dogs with that attitude. And I’m so sad to cross this groomer off my list bc she came so highly recommended by my friends and family.

These ladies take great care of my little guy Lafitte each time he does for a "clean up." He has a natural wave in his fur that makes trimming him up a challenge, but he always comes out looking handsome and feeling pretty spiffy, as you can tell in his photo. Super nice staff who genuinely care about the animals entrusted to their care.

A great experience! We are visiting gulf shores for a few weeks and my dog missed his grooming . I called to get him in for a bath and nail trim and they got him in the same day! Very nice ladies working there. Will definitely come back!

Great experience here. We’re evacuees from Hurricane Michael and our pups desperately needed baths. One pup is extremely shy and nervous but Diane was able to gain her trust and bathe her, all while squeezing us in at the last minute. They also used a treatment to decrease shedding that has been awesome so far. Thank you for the wonderful service!

We take our golden doodle here for his grooming for the last few years. They listen to how you would like it cut and do a great job. Its a nice size clean place and seems to be run very well. The owner is serious about grooming! They also sell a lot of merch. The best is that they offer a rush service for $10 additional. This way your dog doesnt have to stay all day. They will do your dog in about 1-1.5 hours and call you to pick them up.

As I was worried about moving back to Gulf Shores and finding another dog groomer, I looked at the Paws In The Sand website where my dogs use to be groomed and read some terrible and frightening reviews. My dogs were also treated very badly. One was cut badly on the neck and they didn’t tell me. I discovered the cut when I noticed blood on the bandana around my dogs neck. I wish I could take that one star off and I am so sorry for the other dogs who were mistreated. The groomers we use now in Montgomery are fabulous and my babies are so happy to see them. I thought my dogs were bad but I know now it’s Paws In The Sand not my dogs.

I'm sorry because I normally don't do this but I feel compelled to write this review. We take our Pomeranian each year before summer to get cut and groomed. This was the first time I had used them. I called when they said he would be ready and they had not gotten to him yet so it kinda looked like they rushed quickly by the way he looked when I picked him up. They shaved him to the scalp which has caused dog alopecia and his beautiful hair is gone and has not grown back yet except for thin hairs. That was 5 to 6 months ago! It really has totally ruined his look. Vet visits and medicine have been expensive and I'm very disappointed to say the least.

I was very disappointed with this groomer’s services. My Maltipoo’s haircut was uneven and choppy. I dropped her off at 8:30, and when I hadn’t heard from them at 2:00, I called and was told to give them 10 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later, and they were rushing to finish grooming her. They totally neglected to trim her long hair on her ears. Overall, poor job and I won’t be going back.

My maltese, Hannah had a standing appointment here for years and was always well treated and came home looking gorgeous. When my parents inherited a sweet Shitzhu, I suggested Paws in the Sand. My mom accidentally went to a similarly named establishment and had a very bad experience and was horrified she had taken her to the wrong place because her dog was injured and traumatized. Mom was in tears. So when she finally got her Angel in to see the ladies at Paws in the Sand, she was so relieved to finally find a groomer she can trust to treat her furbaby as well as she is treated at home. We love our pets and are blessed to have groomers that are caring, experienced professionals and love or pets too!

I am very unhappy with how my dog was treated. He has been to the vet twice after being picked up from being groomed. He is currently at the vet with an IV and being monitored for a "head injury" according to the vet, this head injury was not there before I took him to be groomed. I would not recommend this establishment.

Banjo had an awesome time playing with the other dogs and the owners are SO nice. I will use their doggie daycare again. He even got a report card for his first day. Thanks guys.

Needed my baby to get clean for the long ride home. Dropped her off and in only a few hours she was beautiful, happy and smelled so good. They did a great job.

Terrible is not even close to what I feel about this place. They cut my Yorkie so bad she had to be taken to a vet for stitches and I was still charged for a grooming fee in addition to the $100.00 Vet Fee. I have not been back and will never go back😡😡

My family's dog died under the "care" of this so-called establishment. Unless you want your dog treated with the utmost negligence, your dead dog wrapped in a dirty/dingy/nasty towel, and then your privacy invaded when the groomer blatantly refuses to leave the room at the Vet where you are trying to mourn the loss of a furry family member... then I would not suggest this establishment.

Very nice staff, very helpful and knowledgable. On vacation and went in for a paid of dog shoes because the sand was too hot for the pup. Called, came in, and got the job done.

My dogs haircut was terrible. It was very choppy. He's getting old and when I picked him up he wasn't very happy either. He usually prances around. Won't be going back.
