Well stocked and has so many items... Beach supplies, household items, groceries, etc. So clean and updated and employees are friendly and helpful. Very convenient to the beach.

Of course while traveling you will forget something! Dollar General has you covered! Reading glasses to the ketchup for the hamburgers! Lots of parking and wonderful people very friendly!

My very first visit back in January was great. Friendly staff and such an interesting inventory compared to what we have in central MS. Today was far less than great. They only had self checkout open, and we were told by an incredibly rude employee that we HAD to use it. Definitely not okay, and definitely not something that should be tolerated.

Went in to grab something quickly, the internet said they closed at 11 and it was 950, however I walked and was told it was card only, that’s fine then told I only had a couple minutes! I said sorry and explained about the internet time. I grabbed my one item and was walking to the front as I hear a man yell is there anyone in here, the 2 woman at th front said yea one customer to which he replied well they better hurry up and get there stuff to the front he was ready to go. So I asked the girl at the register if he was a manager and she was very sweet and said no! However the manager was standing there and very rudely replied no I’m the manager! I told her that that was rude of the man and she said sorry, but then let the man come and argue with me saying he wasn’t being rude and that I was by coming in at the last minute. The manager said nothing and let him talk to me however! I own a business and this is uncalled for! Very bad for business!!

This store is cleaner than most hospitals I have been in! Everything was very pristine. I just wanted to stay and shop but we were in a huge hurry. I will definitely return there on my next trip to the beach.

Very clean, organized, friendly store! I can’t tell you how clean this store is..usually you go into a DG and rolltainers not being touched by employees sitting everywhere and stores are usually a huge garage sale mess..Gulf Shores DG is absolutely spotless and full..at Gulf Shores we didn’t see empty shelves or rolltainers everywhere, unless employees was working them, and they were.Thank you to the management & employees for a wonderful experience shopping while on vacation.

This store is definitely the most organized, stocked and clean Dollar General we have seen. They have a great variety of products and easy walking location to the beach. We have been to many DGs around the country. The staff works hard here to keep the store ready for business. This is not easy in this season of low employment in most establishments.

I love that this store is convenient to the beach and has tons of beach supplies. The only thing I don't like is that right in front of the registers there are some snack racks and they take up so much space making it so you have to squeeze around them if you're walking past another customer. It gets busy in there because of the location and so it's common to see a line of people trying to pass one another past those racks.

Nicest dollar store I've ever been in but outrageous prices! $30 for a basic round beach inflatable. No thanks! They also have 7# bags of ice for $2.20.

Cashier/clerk stands there while I ring up $150.00 in purchases. No help, not even with bagging. I asked if she could check me out at register and said store policy is self-checkout.It's pitiful. Minimum wage is now $15.00/hr, I do her job, pay for my items, and no discount offered for my labor! Goodbye! It may have cost me $15.00 to go to my local grocery store, but atheist they serve me with a smile and would have offered help taking bags out.

It's a beach side Dollar General, it has all things beach related and then some. Store is clean and mostly organized considering the huge amount of traffic it gets. Staff are super friendly and all are willing to help you find whatever. Good in and out while on vacation.

Very well organized and clean store. We found everything we needed and about $80 worth of stuff that we didn't need. The ladies their were on their jobs!!! I loved their Gulf Shores shirts also. They sell beer here (I don't drink) but it was a sight to see because they don't sell beer in Texas at any DG that I've ever been too.

It is so cute! It's clean and bright and doesn't look like most DG's. The exterior is beach blue! The staff is also very bright and friendly, while checking long lines of vacationers out.

Perfect spot. Great hours of operation. Generous friendly staff. We go here every time we visit the gulf. And at least two or three times each visit. Glad to know they are there when you need anything.

This particular Dollar General has all of your beach needs. I have bought several items here to make our visit to the beach more enjoyable. Beach Chairs, Large Sheet size towels to lounge on and several large towels for drying off and wiping off the sand.

Nice, we had a house in Gulf Shores when they built this DG - at first I was skeptical about this brand having a presence so close to everything, but it sure comes in handy if you need a few staples while at the beach. Since then we sold our place, but we still come back for trips, and I think we've gone here for something every time...

They had kites which is what i wanted so i could fly it at the ocean. $19 but it was nylon so it won't rip easily. I also bought a spool of 500 feet of string to take higher. Included in that price. Over all I'm happy.

Of the six Dollar generals in my trade area, this one is my favorite. they do not have turnover in staff like the other stores do. They always greet me. The store always has plenty of beer and soft drinks, because it's close to the beach!

Biggest Dollar General in the country. Seriously! They have a huge variety of beach supplies, food, drinks, household items, decor, storage supplies, pet supplies and even a good selection of frozen foods, meats and dairy. Great spot to shop if you are staying down on the beach and don't want to fight the supermarket crowds!

It is small franchise of retail stores selling everyday stuff. A very convenient store to dash in and out for quick picks. You will not get everything, but some essentials things like Water, snacks, toys, clothing you can find here.The staff here is also polite and good.But sometimes the arrangement of goods is little clumsy. You will not get what you want in first go. Also many times, one object is kept two different locations which makes you to roam around to compare.Otherwise recommended store for daily needs.

If you are looking to resupply while you are down in Gulf Shores than I’d like you to meet Dollar General. Food, beer, beach items and everything in between at pretty cheap prices. Great place for Goggles and masks another store was 5 times more for the same items. Friendly staff
