If you love animals DO NOT take your animal to Grand Bay Animal clinic in Grand Bay Alabama. I went to them to euthanize a very sick dog( liver and kidney failure). First of all they don't make appointments. Was told to just come in at 2. Luckily, ( I thought)we made the cut off of 6 pets. While waiting we spoke to a gentleman and he went there at 9:30 and was told to come back at 2. He thought his dog had a broken leg.Another lady came in with blood on her shirt. All she wanted was for a confirmation that her beautiful pup was indeed dead. She said they treated him after her dog was attacked by other dogs. Lots of bite mark. He bled out on her car. She was told No. They weren't taking any more appointments. She then asked if she could just use a stethoscope herself. Answer was no. They then checked with vet and they said they could but it would a long while. I guess they were going to make her wait till everyone else was seen. They never did the check. I went out with her. The dog was obviously gone having died on the trip there.NOW ON TO OUR STORY. We we were the last of the 6 patients. After waiting, we were told to take our precious baby around to the back of the building where we were told we weren't allowed to go with her when they euthanized her. IT IS THEIR POLICY! By then it was to late to go anywhere else. Our baby was suffering so we let their tech, who was very sweet, and the only person that showed ANY compassion,take and r eturned her to us. We never once spoke or saw the Doctor.I have NEVER WITNESSED such a lack of empathy, care, concern for both pet and parent. The last gift we could have given our baby was taken from her an us.This veterinarian needs to quit practicing because he obviously doesn't care about anything but money.

Had a very good visit, the Doctor has a lot of experience with all types of animals. I have been a customer in the past with two of my dogs, nothing but good to say. This visit was for my daughter's dog, and my cat. They have a very friendly staff that are willing to work with you.

Great vet. First come first serve basis. I waited maybe 15-30 minutes but it went by fast with a few people ahead of us. We saw the vet and he listened to my concerns and quickly addressed them after looking at my dog. I left with very reasably priced medication and the office visit charge was reasonable as well. I will definitely be back.

Very unhappy with the service I received. Had called on a before and was told that as long as you were there at 4pm you would be seen. Got there right at 4 was told they were not taking anyone else. i had taken off work and driven all the way there. The lady at the desk was just very uncaring and rude.

We have used Grand Bay Animal Clinic for approximately 28 years. In these 28 years, Grand Bay Animal Clinic has gone above and beyond taking precious care of all our pets. Dr. McClung and his staff are always so gentle and kind. They have gone out of their way on so many occasions to make sure they attend to all the needs and emergencies of our precious pets. There is no better vet, in my opinion, to trust your beloved pets with.Sometimes, the wait time is lengthy, but it's definitely worth it!!

If i could leave zero stars i would but I called around 10:30 and they were closing at 11. My puppy needed her 3rd set of shots and i also thought that she might’ve had ear mites, i told the girl that on the phone and she said to go ahead and bring her in. I waited until they opened back up at 2 and i came in around 3, when i came in i stood at the desk and the front desk lady didn’t even say anything to me, so i told her that my puppy needed to get her shots and she said sorry were booked for today try to come tomorrow. This is not the first time this has happened so when i got home my grandma called and she was so rude on the phone. Not only did i drive a hour to get there, the front desk lady was very rude about it!!!! I really like Dr. McClung but front desk service is horrible. Would not recommend.

I was disappointed and unpleasantly surprised. I took a cat in to be euthanized but the clinic policy is you can't go back with your pet to have it done. They do it and bring your dead animal's body out to you in the waiting room when they're done.As a pet owner of 50 plus years, I've NEVER heard of a vet doing this before.I'm not sure if that's their policy for treating all animals or just with euthanasia but be forewarned, just in case.Are a pet owner's tears too much for the vet to handle or is there something they don't want us to witness in the back? I don't know but regardless, the red flags are waving.I asked for a refund and left with my cat, still alive. I won't go back and certainly won't recommend that vet to anyone.

They are friendly over the phone, and the young gentleman who comes to my car to get him and brings him back is the sweetest! But I do not like the fact that I can't go in at all, ever. You have to call when you're in the parking lot

I haven't recently visited Grand Bay Animal Clinic recently. However the times I used them in the past my experience was great in so many ways. The prices are reasonable and the complete staff was compassionate of my needs. I would and have recommended this facility many times.

Have been going to this veterinarian for over 10 years. I've always been very satisfied with the care taken with all of my pets. Any questions that I've had were always thoroughly explained. The cost has also been very reasonable. I definitely recommend you stop by and check them out.

Dr.McClung has been our vet for 26 years. He and his staff are so kind and compassionate. Sometimes there's a wait but that's because they have many satisfied people and their pets. We are so thankful for all they have done over the years and their continued loving care.

At first glance this vet clinic doesn't look like much but they have a very experienced vet on hand and very friend and helpful staff. I am very thankful for them for always taking such good care of my loving fur baby. One important aspect is the vets fees are not ridiculously priced like other places. He is very reasonable. Only thing I would change if possible is the wait time. Sometimes you may be sitting and waiting for a good while. They are a very busy clinic and might would benefit from another vet on hand there some days. But still the wait is worth it.

This is by far the best vet i have ever been to. And i have been to many. The nurses are very nice and helpful. They are also very friendly. The doctors are very knowledgeable. They treat you animal like a part of their family. They even take pictures of your animals to put with their records so they can remember who is who. It is a little expensive but you pay for the quality in my opinion. They are very trustworthy and will treat your animal with the love and care that it needs and deserves.

It is a great place to take your animal the staff is friendly and professional and the vet is thorough and is loving to your animal so far I've taken my dog Maggie she had to be put down because she was so far along in the cancer they did it with compassion and care and I took my pregnant chihuahua which was full of fleas when I got her and they did a thorough checkup gave her shots checked how far along pregnant she was trimmed her nails gave a samples of the heartworm and flea chewies and it was wonderful and it wasn't that expensive cuz I'm on a fixed income

Not really happy with the way they take animals in. Hours listed are 8-11:30 and 2-5 pm. They still are not open to bring the animals in since COVID. I took my dog for her annual shots and arrived at 9:45 and called as the sign states but was immediately placed on hold. When they finally picked up I was told they were not taking any more animals for the morning and would have to come back when they open at 2. At the same time a sign was up stating they wouldn't see any animals in the morning of the following day.Tried again. Arrived at 1:45 PM tried to call inside. 16 attempts before it was not busy. Put on hold for 3 minutes, then told no availability again. I don't have the time to waste doing this. I cannot sit and wait all day long for them to have something available, and with current gas prices I will not take another trip to their office.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, only about the money! Called the previous day because my dog started seizing hours after leaving there. Man told me to give my dog 2-3 days for the medication to work as I told him my dog is having seizures the previous day after we left grandbay vet. They diagnosed my pup with worms yes. Didn’t look into anything else. Kept telling the man my dog was not okay. He swore she was! My dog would’ve died this evening from fever and brain damage if I had listened to him. A $3,000 dog. My oldest son’s best friend but Thank god for the George County vet in Lucedale actually being honest caring people!!!

My grandmother used to work with Doctor McClung for over 10 years and all my life we have gone here. He always does an amazing job at treating our animals and is super informative/ friendly. My only gripe about this clinic would be the wait times as there is only one room and the waiting room is small and gets filled very quickly but otherwise this vet is the best!

Dr McClurg is A#1 in my book. He has taken care of my best friend for 3 1/2 yrs. gone above what one might expect &knows his stuff. The parking lot is always full. That tells U something good.

Friendly staff, but very limited hours and no after hours emergency care is offered.Prices are average, not excessively high or low.Small staff and long wait times as services are provided on first come first served with no availability of appointments.Services could stand to be extended to include more indepth client education as I have had family that have been told that there was a problem with weight, but not advised in how to best achieve their goals.A family members dog fell extremely I'll and Grand Bay Vet was not open during hours that most are.So I had to take him to another vet, who diagnosed him with pancreatitis. It was stated that it was likely a result of poor diet, and since this family member had been a client of Grand Bay Clinic for an extended time, I sint understand why more attention was not focused on improving his diet. Had that been a priority, my family members dog may not have developed pancreatitis.I did some research and found that simply changing his food to a higher quality, age- appropriate senior formula eliminated a lot of problems. Changing to this food and putting him on a feeding schedule helped him drop the weight super fast.He still is prone to pancreatic flare ups. But with carefully controlled diet, he has improved immensely and is now, at least, able to jump and run like his old self.But I was disappointed to know that someone with much less training could find the answers that a trained veterinarian failed to provide.I would use this vet for maintenance and annual vetting at best. However I prefer to remain loyal to I vet rather than jumping from one to another. Therefore I'd rather go to a veterinarian that could ensure effective care in any given situation.Very nice man tho, friendly staff, and he did help me by ending my sick dogs suffering at a discounted rate that I could afford.

Dr. McClung and his Staff always treat my pets and I with the most respect and my pets recieve the best care without having to break my pocketbook. I am very thankful to have such a ❤ caring Veterinarian that actually puts the well being of my pet first and foremost. It's an extra bonus that he is in my hometown 🏡. 😊👍

Truly the best Doctor and staff on the planet!!! His prices do not match the service! Grand Bay animal clinic is Champagne and Cavier for the cost of beer money Seriously!!! I have never cringed at the bill ever my only complaint is that they do not treat human beings! 😆 Your pet babies are in AwEsOmE hands trust me I am hard to please.

They have a good respect for our furry friends. The medications run a bit higher than you can find on line, that's not unusual for any Veterinarian office. They do offer Care Credit that helps to spread our payments out with no interest; It depends on current offers usually a 12 month intrest free account. I've Used Grand Bay Animal Clinic for many years,, they are highly respected by most of Grand Bay. They've certainly gained my respect and admiration caring for our animals, the staff all treat them with TLC.

Everytime I have called three times btw, they have a bad attitude are beyond rude. And I can't figure out why people leave 5 star reviews but also complain about huge wait times and no appointments. My wife has also called and same bs attitudes if they don't need or want our business fine by us. Try pet Dr. Much better people
