Love the staff, they greet you by name as you come in. Not a big store so inventory or brand not always available. Very convenient, to say the least. Meat quality has gotten better than it use to be when I first relocated to the area.

This was my very first visit here, and I thought that the entrance view should be set up better, to feel more inviting. The aisles are rather slim, which makes it difficult for two people to pass eachother.They did have some very good bargains, and items of good quality. I was also surprised they had my favorite ginger ale - Diet Canada Dry!

This location is good due to them have some different things that I have not seen in some others. But, the lady who operated the cash register was rude. But, I do not know her personally to know what the issue was. She rolled her eyes at me and dropped my change in my hand from about 6 inches above my hand causing some of my change to hit the floor after bouncing off the register.

Its location is convenient to me. The store is always neat and not cluttered like some of the DG's I shop. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are the only store for household supplies and food opened after 8 pm.

THE GENERAL is ALMOST your one-stop shopping place. Almost everything you need can be found here. Some of these stores seem somewhat short staffed at times, so it might not be a good idea to try to RUN IN QUICKLY because checkout moves slowly sometimes...

The place WAS NOT AND IS NOT nasty as said by a previous lady. It just gets cluttered when the truck comes with new products to put out. And THAT in and of itself is a full time job. But the ladies do very well stocking shelves,answering questions,showing you where something is and running the register... doing 3-5 different things at once and doing it all very well.

I must say this cause dollar general in Alexander City are amazing they treat me like am family and make sure customer are happy and taken care of. If I can't find it they are willing to help me and if they don't have it at there store they call others ones to help located it. I love my dollar general family and the love they give to little old me. In MY opinion they deserve a higher pay and more respect cause they are all the best and deserve some rest.

I dont care for the new rearange ment but for people not local wont notice but also it feels a little cramp some isles will be blocked with carts sometimes

It is good for a Dollar General. Easy access, shelves reasonably stocked and cheap prices. Don't expect the variety of a Target or Walmart, but great for grabbing basics at a cheap price.

Terrible. This store is nasty. Nothing is on shelves. Boxes everywhere. Management needs a makeover. This store could almost be burned down and start over. Absolutely just cringe when I need to stop and this is the closest one.

It was extremely nasty had about 10 people working but one person on the register with a line wrapped around the isle & none of the other employees were stocking or trying to clean up one employee was sitting in front of the store in the doorway eating
