Got just what I wanted. (My husband was a professional drummer. "In his younger years". He recovered from a stroke & heart problems). He & some old friends want to get together & start a small band to entertain for fun. I was looking for drum sticks to present to him with a refresher course of drum classes & not only did they have the drum sticks 🏒 but, I was blessed to find an adult drum set with a stool; only a few thy to purchase , but it pleased my husband & made him smile. (That's all that matters to me). "Gold Pawn & jewelry a great little store with great prices" ... I will be returning soon... Next surprise, his own studio.💖 I love this place...

I Just recently bought a Nikon camera with these folks, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. When i got the camera and extra lens home i found a couple issues one with the lens and the other was an incorrect charger. However when i returned there was no trouble and they resolved the problem quickly and with high professionalism, i was given a refund for the damaged lens and was given the correct charger. I would recommend this place to anyone without a problem.

Consistently great customer service! The staff of Golden Pawn Gardendale has been knowledgeable and friendly during every visit for the past two years. I’ve gotten great deals on jewelry, tools and guns. They have a great selection of electronics, guns, jewelry and tools. The prices are unbelievable! I would highly recommend!

I’m giving 3 stars because I have no idea how much the give for pawned items but I can tell you that 95% of the stuff they sell is way overpriced. A lot of it overpriced and in bad shape. I don’t know if they’re adjusting for inflation or what but you’re better off buying new because the price difference is negligible in most cases.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a pawn shop. And I’ve been in quite a few, they want top dollar for their merchandise (gold). And give you scrap price for your perfectly fine gold. THESE PEOPLE RIP you off. And they WILL not negotiate AT ALL it was just by far the worst experience I’ve ever felt with...but good luck, yours truly.A lost customer. 😀

I felt very unwanted as a customer. There was not a single customer there except for me, but I stood there for a solid 5 minutes while these two employees talked about movies.Seriously? To not even acknowledge someone is utterly horrible service.Once I was finally answered, this guy wouldn't so much as talk to me. He acted like having me in there was the most annoying task of his day, and the odd silence after I talked and he wouldn't respond made for a very awkward experience.Once I get my stuff back, I will go somewhere else next time and never go back.

I bought a nail gun that stopped working the day after I bought it. Although I wasn't happy about the situation, they went above-and-beyond to rectify the situation. Not only did they have it repaired for free, I was also able to get it back by 6:30am the next morning, so I wouldn't be without it for the next work day! Great work!

I felt very uncomfortable here and as if my business was not wanted here. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Also their merchandise was very dirty on the showroom floor. The lawnmowers had grass and dirt all over them and where old. And they were still trying to sell them for full retail brand new prices.

I've been waiting to get my firearm back from these people close to an hour now.. The service is HORRIBLE when I walked in they were extremly rude! I would not recommend you to do any business with these people at all!!! I never do reviews by the way but this one is more than neccessary

Average pawn shop that can be found all over the Birmingham area. However, they do have a couple positives. This particular store will buy gift cards which alot of places havent started doing yet. Also, they are open until 9 at night. It's rare to find a place open past 6. Other than that its an everyday pawn and rip yourself off shop. Some items are a good deal tho. JUST do your research before going to ANY PAWN STORE.

If u take a 700.00 laptop and bag in to get a simple loan u better take it else where i took mine in it didnt have any scratches or wasnt filthy i went to pick it up and it was scratched all to heck and back and they lost the bag and the keyboard had crumbs in like some ate while they was playing games on it or something

I had to ask to be helped on a guitar that had a price tag that was dated from 2018. When I asked to see it they told me it was priced wrong. Worst experience I’ve had with a second hand store.
