Absolutely horrible service! We just ordered 4 small blizzards and a sundae inside. The place was practically deserted, no one was in line ahead of me when I ordered, and after 15 minutes of waiting, I politely asked how much longer it might be, and was given the usual excuse these days of being short handed, etc. After 25 minutes I went back to the counter again and asked why it was taking so long and the employee started getting an attitude with me. Told me to give her a minute, to which I replied that I had already given them 25. Finally got 4 of my treats made, and then she made sure that a customer after me got their frozen treats before I got my last one. Will never visit this restaurant again!!!!!!

I should've posted this long ago. But better late than never, I guess. This location is particularly busy on Sundays (I think it has something to do with the Chick-fil-A next door being closed). I go inside to order today because the drive-thru line was so long. The employee at the register taking orders was kind, calm and thorough when communicating with me. There were four employees I could see. They were working so well and it was pretty cool to watch.This is the third or fourth time I've had a similar experience at this location. Maybe different employees were working, I'm not sure. But I know I always leave there with the correct order and it's always delicious.Once, an off duty employee was apparently there with her family dining in and they were super busy...super. busy. She was working to help with her purse still across her body! (not that anyone should be expected to do this, but she was helping her team).Amazing to see team work like that.My final thoughts about my Dairy Queen... BETTER THAN CHICK-FIL-A. 💯

Ordered a birthday cake for my mom’s 82nd birthday cake on Friday for Sunday pickup. Offered to pay on Friday but they declined payment. Went into Dairy Queen Sunday and it was not ready. Said they didn’t do cakes before payment even though we offered. They through together a cake and made me late for the party. Spoke to the manager Byron and he could have at least act like he cared but obviously didn’t give a rip. So dissatisfied with this DQ.

I ordered a cheeseburger meal with 3 sundae’s & 1 blizzards online. Come to pick up my order and the manager tells me they only doing chicken and fish! So I asked to get a refund for my order & the manager states I have to go back online and get a refund. So I reach out to support online and tell them my problem 3/29. Finally get a refund from the store 4/9 with a statement stating the customer (me) order at the wrong store but the food was made, next time order at the right store!!! WRONG!!! If I stay in Gardendale I think Gardendale is the correct location.!! Well, good thing you can always send a review right!!! This location is horrible and the manager doesn’t seem to care, which make the employees act rude and disrespectful because the black lady with the short blonde hair is inconsiderate & slow with motion!

Me and family went for a Saturday lunch. The place was clean staff was ok. The soda machine was out of just about every flavor and type of drink. I told one of the staff and asked if they had juice boxes for the kids meals like the ones pictured on the menu. He said no and offered no solution. The fries were very good hot and fresh. Burger not so much. Not the best quality meat and buns not fresh. Food prep was good and neat. Icecream is very good. Great for fries and treats skip the sandwiches.

I've had a good experience at this Dairy Queen every time I've been. Most of the time I use the drive-thru, and the service has been fast and accurate. The food is consistently good, and the frozen treats are delicious. The Blizzards and dip cones never disappoint.

Went to Dairy Queen today I got a banana split first one I've had in years it was good but not the best I've ever had and it didn't have a cherry on top ! Had to pay a extra 25 cents for a sprinkle of pecans !!! Hubby got a foot long Chile dog and onion rings had to take onion rings back they were hard as a rock !! It's a ok place but always has a funky smell

I don't really care that you can turn a Blizzard upside down and nothing falls out. What a care about is how it is made. I ordered a Reese's Cup Blizzard. It was like a vanilla blizzard with some Reese's dust blown on top. Won't be back!

The lobby was closed for lack of employees....around here who isn't! I know right? Now Hiring signs were posted. There was a bit of wait as the car ahead of us seemed obnoxious. The manager was at the window when we pulled up, Big old smile on his face....cashier gave a second greeting which is unusual around here....super CS. The Oreo dessert was awesome, and the fries Hot and fresh. Outside was clean and inviting.Loved the business...help this mgt and team recruit help, (job fair, good wages) Don't lose this Mgt or current crew....it would be a mistake. I know I have been there!!!!Parking: Parking was plenty...but the lobby was closed for lack of employees. But it was clean and tidy.

I ordered a chicken sandwich combo with a slushy and the slushy was runny like water. So they replaced it with a milkshake that was also runny…Then the chicken sandwich was dry and the fries were soggy…Then when I called to complain the manager hung up the phone in my face… This was a very bad experience and I will never go back to eat…Bad customer service and bad food

I can’t eat much off the menu but the banana split is awesome... sonic doesn’t sell them anymore 😡. The staff is friendly and the service fast. Couldn’t find the hours online anywhere.

My fair review is strictly based on my experience from last night! I went inside and ordered a peanut buster parfait. The inside was not crowded, but the drive thru was a little busy. However I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time ( almost 10 minutes) for my simple to go order! There was one guy who was just about doing it all from taking orders, cooking orders, etc. There were multiple young women working as well, but mostly goofing off instead of actually helping the guy who was doing majority of the work! At least two of the girls were fixing drive thru orders the other two were standing around trying to look busy, but were just talking with each other. If it hadn't been for the gentleman I would have had to wait even longer for my parfait. I repeatedly heard that guy ask at least three separate times for one of the girls to make my order. They never did!! Special thanks to the guy who was clearly working very hard bc his coworkers were slacking. I hope management has talk with those girls about their poor work ethic.

This was my first time ever at a Dairy Queen. The experience was exceptional! We stopped by to get lunch for the kids after a soccer game. The lady at the drive through was friendly and personable. She packaged the kids food together in separate bags without my requesting it. That was so much appreciated! They are fast and efficient! If we are back in the area, we will surely stop in again.

The hours are CLEARLY listed as closing at 10pm on Google Maps AND at the store's entrance BUT you will be refused service promptly at 9pm or any time leading up to 10pm. Employees are glad to treat you like you are the person who doesn't understand how a clock works with as much smugness that they can fit into one of their flimsy paper bags. I know that this will get a copy/paste careless response from some computer program or corporate shill but maybe this will serve as fair warning to people who don't want to be treated colder than their ice cream.

I haven't had a blizzard in I can't say how many years. Anyway, I was in the mood for one, so I stopped. The blizzard looked so good. I was quite impressed with a blizzard with so much snickers.This was such a shock to me, considering I stopped buying them, due to not making them with enough snickers.People nothing has changed, now they make them with big hunks of snickers that are put at the very top and nothing else at the bottom, but ice cream. Such an illusion, I guess that is ok for Dairy Queen to sell illusions.It does no good to contact the company, they are aware of what is going on. They okay it, a person want a snickers blizzard, not vanilla ice cream.

Almost every time we go when the sun is down, they are closed. The hours on the website state that they are open until 10 PM, but the Gardendale location closes whenever they feel like it. Not to mention our visits have been sub par. The last time they were open and we were able to get food, they forgot half of our kids meal. They managed to hand us a banana and milk, but no chicken nuggets and fries. This place has really gone downhill.

If I could give no stars I would!!! Rude manager!! Paid 40 for a cake, wrote what it needed to say, and it was wrong and missing part of what I wrote!!! No resolution was offered, no refund or partial refund. I have a very upset 7 year old thanks to this piss poor excuse of a store!! Wont be back!!@
