I love this place! I know I can always run in and find something cute quickly. The staff is also super sweet. The prices are much better than Goodwill and other thrift stores.

Sterlite coming to the thrift store because I'd look for all those hidden things that nobody else knew about you finally find it and you're proud of it, however the prices of just gone ridiculous I told the lady in there while ago that I didn't know who was cheaper them or Walmart because they've raised their prices on stuff so much that's ridiculous. I mean the average surgeon here was $5.99, I'm at a thrift store is not that I can't pay it if I refuse to pay it at a thrift store. I don't know, they've gone so far up on their prices at Findley there was a certain there for 4999 just to show you, but the average shirt was $5.99....You open up a company and call it a second hand store where you can get clothes for cheap well you've strayed away from that policy so either a you need to change our policy to cheaper than most or you need to change it to where you close your doors one of the two you started out with a great thing, you ended up with overpriced second-hand used throw away stuff, so decision here folks...

While the aisles are not overly wide the store is clean and well lighted with an open feeling without the smell normally associated with thrift stores. The staff courteous and helpful. Parking plentiful adjacent to the police department.

Rudest cashier paying with a debit card I never used a pin before and when I told her to do credit she said it still wouldn't work and threw the stuff I was buying under the cash register didnt ask if I wanted to pay cash or anything needless to say I want be back

On multiple occasions I've tried to buy merchandise and someone from the back, receiving dept probably, has come out and said they have bought it. I have talked to other that have had this same experience. I will no longer donate to this location if the employees get first shot at anything coming in for next to nothing!!

This place doesn’t even deserve one star but to leave this review I had to give them something. My husband and I just left and I have never in my life been so embarrassed. From the moment we walked in we had store employees following us, whispering amongst themselves like we were going to steal something, mind u, I didn’t even have a purse just my wallet. And while I was looking at the toys for my daughter my husband proceeded to walk towards the back where they keep the vacuum cleaners etc and I heard two men, one being the manager say “hey look there he goes” and they proceeded to basically run back there to where he was and I was afraid of what might happen so I stopped shopping and joined my husband. We never said anything to them but made sure to make eye contact every time they said something. I’m not one to start problems and with the way the world is right now, it’s not worth possibly losing your life over. Anyways I purchased the few items I had picked out, only because I desperately needed them and they followed us until we walked out. Even stood in line behind us.I will never visit this store again and I will be checking to see what can be done to stop this profiling that these people do. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and these people, every single one of them have zero clue in how to treat a paying customer! Spend ur money somewhere else, this place is trash!

Love this place. So neat and everyone is so nice.I was reading the bad reviews and they were so wrong. The people are so nice and helpful maybe check your own attitude. Everyone has a bad day and maybe you came across an employee that was having a really bad day. Go into Saks and you will find people having a tough day there too! It is a pleasure to go in where people are actually working. Since COVID work ethics have changed but I never see employees on their phones here and there is no way every employee could know what is in a different department. I was looking at photos and it )looked like a lady bought a vaseline vase they normally sell for $150.00 I am fairly confident she didn't pay that. Even if it wasn't the real deal she got a beautiful vase. I have bought some great large artwork from uttermost there and a beautiful beveled mirror and they were very well priced and all were on take an extra 30%off. If you don't like the price just keep on walking. I use the rewards card and my husband kept saying why don't you use your points when the cashier asked if I would like to buy I was saving for something that would hold a meaning. The other day I got a red leather mid century modern chair for our back porch that we enclosed for winter for $.01 now that was a deal. They loaded it for me, I came home sanitized it and I am not sure anyone had ever sat on that chair. It is so cute and comfy. I have had many stores around Birmingham not load things because they don't have enough staff for someone to leave the floor. We think the staff here does a great job and we go by several times a week. Sometimes leave with nothing, sometime with a penny chair.

The prices have gone up exponentially. You can get a lot of the clothing at a better price new. Not sure how they come up with prices. I really do not like the way they hang the pants sideways. They also keep moving stuff to different areas of store, making it difficult to find item you are looking for. I do not come as often because of these problems. Sometimes looking at a crazy priced item, I have become disgusted and left.

This store is ridiculous. Most of the cashier's are super rude. Don't wanna deal with you. Don't wanna let you use your rewards, you have to basically tell them your number and you get an eye roll. Found a storage bin, had been wrote in with marker, the dollar store sticker was still on it for 3.50 and y'all priced it for 3.99. ?!?!?! That seems to be a major issue here. Prices are almost always way to high esp when you can buy it brand new for CHEAPER.

Please do not allow your teenager to work here! My daughter (who is still in high school) was made to work past 10 pm several times by a certain manager. Which is against the law. The last time it happened, I called to speak to another manager about it and was told "yeah, this isn't the first time we had a complaint from a parent about her doing this." My reply was "Maybe something needs to be done about it." My daughter went to work the next day and was harassed by other employees that she was trying to get the manager fired. No, we are trying to get all the managers to follow the law. So, the manager went around telling everyone this after she got in trouble after my phone call. There is ALWAYS drama there. They wonder why they can't keep employees, especially teenage employees, there? If you treat them better and follow the law, they would be willing to stay. For $8.50 an hour, it is not worth it. She is going elsewhere and making more money and working less. She is in high school full time and was working there full time like she was an adult. They don't care about their employees and the store managers obviously don't care about making sure the managers are doing their jobs.

Clean store, very orderly and neat but the prices are unreal. I checked out some of their Halloween stuff yesterday and it is priced 3x what it is in the store it originally came from. If you are trying to save money by you are on a budget, this is not the place to shop. At all.

This was one of the better thrift stores I have been to. The lighting is very good so you can see everything well. Signage and pricing is excellent too. It has a great collection of merchandise. Also, if you want to donate it's very easy as they have a drive up in back and person came right to car to take in boxes of donations. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area. The only reason I did not recommend it as 5 stars was there were not many cashiers, so there was only one check out lane open. But would rate it at 4.5 stars if I could.

We shop this store several times a week and nearly always find some kind of treasure. This thrift store is much cleaner than most. The recent expansion turned out nice, once the placement of the aisles and product was figured out.But one of the reasons this is our favorite thrift are the employees. Everyone is very nice and always ready to help.My one complaint, seems to be an issue with most of these types of store, is the rise in prices. I understand there are salaries to be paid and I would never want the awesome crew shorted in any way but, I feel sales would increase if prices were set lower, keeping in mind that the majority of stock are used items which are donated.

Love shopping here. Great bargains on new clothes and costume jewelry. Good buys on books too. I come into work and everyone wants to know where I got this or that - I got it from this store. They have cleaned (de-cluttered) it up and it is much easier to find things now.

Pricing could be a little better. Better educate on branding and outdated clothing maybe. Pricing seems to be all over the place, but otherwise, enjoy shopping here and have found some very great deals on awesome unique and quality items. Love looking at vintage glassware!

I noticed today the workers in the back were saving furniture for a couple of dealers from Gardendale Flea Market. Last week I got yelled at (very rudely) by an employee because I was looking at the stuff they were putting out, but nothing was said to the dealer when he was rifling through it today. Other than these couple of incidents, I always enjoy shopping there because it’s always clean, and clothes are sized. Prices a little high sometimes.

All management was different this evening, and they were horrific. I've been frequenting this establishment more over the last 2 years than any other place. There was some dufas teen dude running the show, and giving the female manager the what for , all while he stood and watched the other employees do all customer related duties and sales floor maintenance I was so turned off by The experience I'm really really upset this place is truly sadly but truly is my second home and it will no longer me thanks New Management

Lots of items and usually well organized. Employees are helpful. There are different discount days throughout the week, so check and see if one applies to you. I think Monday is Senior Discount Day and teachers get a discount on Thursday! I have found tons of great quality items here, including Carhartt jeans, fun furniture to redo, and lots of books for my classroom! If you like thrift shopping check this place out!!

Workers are clearly overworked and underpaid. There often not enough cashiers you get different information from different team workers. A thrift store should be about its customers more than it's inventory. Employees know nothing about either. That being said, fairly good selection, but whomever is pricing the stock clearly knows nothing about fashion brands or seasons years last years. there will be a 5-year-old Forever 21 sweater priced at $5.99 and 2-year-old cashmere Magaschoni for $1.99. I'm thrilled about scoring a timeless piece for less than $2 but please don't ask me to pay $6 for an old, acrylic, Forever 21 jumper.

Hey y'all. It had been a while since I had gone to this gardendale thrift store. I had an appointment out that way and my daughter and I were early so my daughter suggested going to the thrift store out that way. We have the same thrift store near where we live so I said why not. I am a very"seasoned" lol foster parent so I am always hunting bargains for kids. I hand quilt a lot and I search thrift stores for bed sheets to cut up for my quilts. The thrift store had just opened and I went in there and came out with tons of everything. Lol the employees were sooooooo super friendly and respectful. The young lady that waited on me and my daughter was chatting with us and she never missed a beat ringing up our purchases. This thrift store rocks. It was super clean and it did not have a used clothes smell. I love love love it. Thank y'all and keep up the good work.MattieGotta love this thrift store 🤗🤗🙏

Frustrating experience today. Love shopping this store but today the mask was a issue. Employees kept harassing my 10 year old niece about wearing one. She put one on but they wanted it pulled up- all this with her mother nearby. Very grouchy. A smile and a nod might make a real difference at this store!!!

Clothes are pricey especially if they are name brand, I go to other thrift stores if I’m looking for clothes (don’t get me wrong this store has pretty good quality and selection just pricey). Materials things are at a pretty low price. It’s always busy so it is a bit hard to take your time and shop around workers are always around if you need them.

Love shopping here. I usually fine a bargain. I bought a set of lamps a few months ago for my bedroom that were a steal they were crystal. Just what I needed. You do have to look but that's part of the fun.
