The cashier that helped me 11/30/2022 @ 13:45:10 Is the greatest. But if there were some hater employees they need a good talking to and if that doesn't work they need to go somewhere else. Quit being hateful. This town us tired of all the b.s. from non caring citizens. If you see someone that needs help in this community please help, it's down right shameful in an area to sit back and be blind all the time. You have a voice please use it, but not in an attacking manner. Too much hate and hurt in the world for all this to be happening. Doesn't matter the area or color or whatever. Love they neighbor, we are all family

This store's shelves are always empty and carts are everywhere in the aisles. Why is this store even here? I usually go to a different one a few miles up the road that I know will be stocked and not a total disaster.

This Dollar General is off the beaten path so its not as busy as some of the other local stores. That also has the added benefit of allowing the store to almost always remain stocked. Another bonus is the cozy small town feel of this store, like the that old fabled general store with a hound laying on a corner of the stoop. Another good point about a less frequented store- I've rarely had to wait in line.

It is on of the neatest I have been in in a long time. I was in the Cleveland one the other day and it is so cluttered you can barely get through the aisles. Room for one person only. The lady at Garden City is so nice . It is a pleasure to go there. I know they do not have enough help and that is so sad . I think Dollar General only thinks of money and not hiring enough employees. I think that will do them in one day.they better think about that . Your employees are the people that have helped get them where they are today. They need to be good to their employees and take them up the ladder with them.

Everyone was so helpful and professional. The prices were great on everything. Christmas was a quarter, canned pumpkin pie was a quarter a piece, garden items were very reasonable, chair cushions were super buy, frozen food items, paper towels, eggs, etc.! We love having a DG so close by. Highly recommend:)!

Update.... now this place is down to one star because of the rude lady I encountered today while trying to use the new self checkout it would not work with the scan gun and she tried to tell me that I had to pick up the 32 pack of waters I was trying to scan and scan it on the actual machine which didn't work either. And when I said it seems point that's for me to pick this up to try to scan it on the actual flat scanner on the machine she said it only works on certain things with the hand scanner. Then I told her what's the point of having the hand scanner if you can't use it and she said I didn't make the machine I just run it. See then proceeded to walk away saying oh my God. She is quite rude and I will be reporting this to Dollar general because this lady has been nasty before when I went in.Not too fond of this DG. The staff is really kind of creepy and have been a little rude on my past 2 visits. I stop here when I need something and dont want to go all the way to Hanceville to get it. Tonight I was in to get some waters and my 16 year old daughter was checking out the toys. She found a ball she was interested in and bounced it on the floor a few times and a rude voice came from the next isle telling her to stop bouncing the ball before she breaks something. She was not bouncing it all crazy or anything and their was no breakable items in that part of the isle. She decided not to get the ball since the worker was so rude and she was spending her own money and didnt want to give it to rude people. They seem to be a little stuck up in this DG. Maybe since its a new location. The dollar general market in Hanceville is much better than this one.

The store was bare and disorganized. No one was stocking the shelf or cleaning the store. At check out there was 6 people in the only lane open causing us to block the walkways. It made it impossible to practice social distances. It is always like the at the store and the manager is never seen.

Good Dollar General; only had one MAIN ISSUE... the cashier wasn't able to give cash back at the register when we checked out (although it's an option available daily when purchasing with your debit card) due to the fact that the register's till (money drawer) didn't have the appropriate funds to allow customers to receive cash back... THE CASHIER ACTUALLY STATED, "I SEE YOU'RE USING YOUR DEBIT CARD TO PAY FOR THIS TRANSACTION, I SURE HOPE YOU DON'T WANT ANY CASH BACK BECAUSE ALL OF TODAY'S CASH TRANSACTIONS HAVE BEEN PAID TO ME IN LARGE BILLS, THEREFORE I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH CHANGE IN SMALL BILLS TO ALLOW ANYONE TO GET CASH BACK!" I'm so thankful I was the only person at the checkout when those words were spoken because I'M TRULY SCARED TO KNOW WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE "WRONG PERSON" HAD HEARD THAT COMMENT!!!!!

Ur prices are great but there is only one problem. Some guy chased me to my car and he pinned me against a buggy and greedily pulled down my skirt but to his surprise I had a peepee but besides that your prices are astronomical. Thank you😗😗😗

My nephew came in the Garden City DG. He had ridden his bike to the store, He asked for a bag to put his purchase in, only to be told by the cashier that he didn't need a bag. Kind of hard to ride a bike AND carry his purchases. I have found the staff to be rude and inattentive on a number of visits. No more DG for our family. I guess it's easy to bully a 12k year old.

This store is close to my girlfriend. We stopped in for a few items. The store is well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful. We always find what we need here. The prices are reasonable.

At the Garden City Dollar General the staff there are very helpful and courteous they always help me when I come in and I don't know where to find the donuts little sprinkling things on them and they always know where my chocolate milks at thank you people.
