Not my usual location. Clean and well stocked. The gentleman at the register was delightful. Any shopping experience is always elevated when the interaction is good. I was surprised there wasn’t many customers, normally these stores are somewhat crowded. I was able to be in and out quite quickly.

This Doller general in Fultondale is usually stocked up tight, but here lately, either they don’t have it in stock, it’s in the middle of the isle, or in the back… they just don’t get around to re-stocking the store, it is busy as hell tho’ all day except first thing in the morning… good store, great people working in here, just don’t stock quick enough…..

You need to train your staff on basic operations of the coupons and the app. What the point of offering it if your staff is in familiar with the basics. Had Mrs Karen scan my items and then tell me that no cupons were applied showed her the coupons from my phone compared them to the items and she still was confused. The system didn’t take the phone number. Not a big deal I type is again she then says they don’t take coupons in general Which is like no you do that why I type my number in. It was the most idiotic interaction I’ve ever had with another human being. If your staff can’t be competent don’t hire them.

I have been at this store a few times. My first time I was somewhat surprised because I thought it was a dollar store. There are some items for a dollar, but many but many of the items are more. There can still be some good deals made here but beware that it is not a true dollar store. The merchandise is usually well stocked, but you need to do your homework to to get a good deal. For example on cookies you can actually get them cheaper at a big box store . Same with seasonal items prices are okay. Also there is usually only one cashier so if they are busy expect a wait.A super deal though is on the greeting cards as just about all of them are a dollar. The store is clean and well lit and has plenty of parking.The reason I rated it 3 stars is because it's not a true dollar store. Normally I would rate it 2 and a 1/2 stars.

The store is always in a mess. I can't remember ever going inside and seeing the shelves fully stocked. It's always hard to walk and shop due to boxes strewn about and carts full of stock waiting to be put out. The majority of the time they can't seem to keep enough of the product I am looking for on the shelf.

It was dirty and disorganized. It was impossible to navigate through the store because of all the boxes and boxes of stuff that needed to be stocked but was blocking the aisles instead. The shelves were bare because all the product was still in boxes blocking the way. The line was a dozen people long with only one cashier and 2 other employees trying to stock the shelves. My guess is they're understaffed. Everybody was working hard but the work was way behind.

The store itself is very unorganized. They never have the items that I need in stock, especially when there is a promotion going on. The sales associates do not seem like they know what they are doing and there are consistently new associates in there. They don't seem to care about giving good customer service or service at all. They almost seem annoyed that you are in there trying to purchase things. Not a fan of this location. Luckily, there are 100 of them in the area 🙄

The dollar General off of mount olive road is hands down the best dollar general around..they always have the shelves stocked and the staff are very kind..i wish i knew her name but one of the employees maybe a manager even i am sad to say i didn't get her name but she helped me buy a gift for my grandson when he came to visit and it was truly a very selfless kind gesture that isn't seen a lot these days so i at least wanted to say thank you this way..i hope she sees this and knows how much her kindness meant to me and still does to this day

Typical DG. Came in first of the day and it was messy. But loved the stickers by products that let u know of promotions tied to them they helps since using the app and finding deals on products can be slightly overwhelming. In all I saved 6 bucks between using the app & stickers. Def worth having the app and text alerts.

DG is my jam. Period point blank. Got to know some of the employees, when I found out New Summer hours..open till 11PM. I was like, WHAT?! That’s so late for you guys! But, who’s been there at 3 times late night? This squirrel, that’s who. Employees always super cool..whole place has a great vibe. Love it.

Anytime I need something fast&cheap This is my store. Closest to my home. Always has what I need. Only thing that doesn't make it fast, usually have to wait in line. They're Hiring right now, so they definitely need help.

I only had one item to purchase when I stopped at this particular store, so I wasn't in there but a few mins. The only complaint that I have is that the gentleman that checked me out didn't greet me. He actually barely spoke at all. And the bad part about that is I believe he is the manager there.

Out of stock many items and inconvenient placement of checkout registers with long confusing lines. The management and workers are always so professional and genuinely nice..this is the only reason why I keep going back.

I have been looking for a blue raspberry flavored V8 splash that I purchased at the Gardendale location, and haven't been able to find anymore since. Not at the original location, nor any others, not even Wal-mart. My husband really liked that flavor, and now I am wishing I never brought it home, because we have gone to over 6 different locations, and have been unsuccessful.

I absolutely love the price and convenience of the Dollar General stores. However I need to remove a star because unlike other discount stores like these, this particular one always is a bit messier than most.

Employees not speaking to customers! Store was a disaster! No employees had on mask or making people wear mask just so unorganized. I will stick with Hueytown Dollar General!

Staff wasn't friendly, especially brown skinned African American, I think her name is Erika, never friendly or smiles when I'm in there.
