I had an issue with an exchange, where I feel they went out of their way to be unhelpful. The manager suggested I take the book to their sister store and try to sell it to them? It was absolutely bananas.

I love books a million. As far as big box book stores go, books a million is one of the better ones. This location is especially lovely. The employees are so fantastic! They are knowledgeable and conversational and sweet. The employees really make this location top tier. If you told me that the employees were going to open up their own small business bookstore I would be there as often as possible to add to my ever growing to be read stack! Go talk and shop books with these sweet friends.

Wandered into this location to walk off a little dinner before getting into the car for an hour drive home.Excellent selection of merchandise, journals, office goodies. I had 2 books in my Amazon queue and was able to find one of them on the shelf.The two employees I saw were both at the kiosk by the front door. Neither of them stopped their conversation with one another to welcome me (Tuesday, June 27, 5:30pm). When I asked about the second book I wanted there was some redemption as Sarah was helpful and checked availability. Not in stock but could be ordered. I politely declined as in this case Amazon was a quicker option. I left with my book, bookmark and magnets ver happy for my finds.

I've always loved coming here since I was younger. Me and my brother used to sit in the back corner and read comic books. Their prices could be a little better and they could organize the books a little better, but they always have what I'm looking for. They have a very relaxing environment for people that would like to stay and read their new book.

I've always been a big fan of books a million. I have an addiction to books and I LOVE that you can walk in and find pretty much anything you want. Make sure to check out this location, they are clean, neat, friendly customer service, and they offer a ton of sales such as buy 2 get one free, and books for 5 and less.

Used to love coming here as a teenager, I could come in, grab a coffee, pick a book from any number of topics, find a seat and read to my hearts content. Now they have gotten rid of Joe Muggs, all of the sections have been either reduced in size or removed entirely to make room for toys and merch that no one wants, and there is almost zero seating available. This store is a sad shell of what it used to be.

I love this store! The workers here are always super nice and helpful, and they take their time with helping to figure out what coupons would work best with a purchase. I really appreciate all the workers that are there :)

I really love The variety of stuff.. They have a great assortment of books. They have a lot of memorabilia. If you're in a anime this is definitely the place to be. They have a lot of gifts that would be great for friends or coworkers. This is one of the very few stores that my kids just love.

Not such a great visit today. The Christmas Holiday Sales signs are misleading. They are placed in front of items that are allegedly not on Sale. Instead of clarifying and helping, the associate in a red BAM shirt, walked off, as if he is not dealing with this today, type of attitude. I left very disheartened, not very Holiday Spirited of them.

Good selection and friendly staff while inside, however a few minutes after I left the store I realized that I purchased the wrong item and went back to exchange it, still 4 minutes before closing time and the doors were locked. I could see the workers getting things wrapped up for the night near the front doors but did not acknowledge me. I looked up the hours on google on my phone to make sure and it said “closing soon”. I know that it’s tempting to cut corners sometimes but good customer service will stay true to the posted hours, even if it’s close. I would’ve been in and out probably still before the actual closing time, now I will have to make a 30 minute trip the next day to make the exchange.

I don't leave the house but I had to go to a dentist appt. I chose BAM to come in there for my treat for leaving the house. There was No one in the store and the sales associates were hanging out by the food area. I had picked up a few things and I was walking down an aisle and a sales dude came up behind me and very loudly said "THE STORE IS CLOSED!!! and you need to take any purchases up to the register!!!" I said "I'm sorry was there an announcement" He said "NO WE WERE BUSY!" There was no one else in the store. He scared me to death yelling at me, I was mortified, my husband was 2 rows over from me and I had gone in there proud of myself for leaving the house and that was ruined and made me NOT WANT TO again. You can't treat people that way especially when there was no one in the store and no announcement was made that the store would be closing soon and why didn't he tell my husband who had our items and was closer to the front instead of coming and yelling at and scaring the older lady. Complained to manager who at first I was told he was too busy but then he was walked right over from the food area not busy at all. This was a joke and I am so disappointed in BAM and will never go in there again. He could have said Excuse me, or Pardon me, Or even Ma'am or Hey lady but not sneak up behind me then yell at me. Insane and RUDE

I love shopping here. This store is always very neat & clean and organized so it's easy to find what you're looking for. They have a huge selection of books for all ages. They also have some really unique toys and gadgets. It's a very entertaining store. They also have a Joe Muggs coffee shop inside so you can drink your coffee and read a book while you're there.

There selection used to be better and their prices are a little high. I dont mind paying a little more at a brick and mortar store but to be 2 times or more the price I can get elsewhere makes me walk out the door empty-handed.

I've always loved BAM and am proud to know they're a Birmingham-based company. Regarding the Fultondale location, I've no real complaints, although I'd say they're missing a trick not having a DVD/Blu-ray section since the Best Buy closed nearby a few years back.

I really like this book store. Well organized a great place to browse, meet friends for coffee or just wonder and look at new genres. I can sit on the floor and look for new reads. The employees understand that sometimes readers just get lost in books. They are there to answer your questions or make suggestions while giving you your space. Great selection of books.
