This campground is basically 2 experiences. Part 1 in the woods, small sites some with water up to the trailer pad. And part 2 , The deluxe sites beautiful large 5th Wheel friendly sites with lots of green space overlooking the river. This place is miles from anything if you want quiet. This is it.We stayed in a 5th wheel for 3 nights. Oh yeah, when the wind stops, get out the bug spray.

We camped at site 16, across from the restrooms & showers. We weren’t on the lake side, but we had a cool creek with boat docks running behind our site. The sites are shaded and had paved parking pads. They were also spacious. The bathrooms were clean. The only negative is that there were no signs to point the way once the gps says you are there. We made a few wrong turns before we finally found it.

It has been a few years since our last visit here, this time is disappointing. Our site, as well as many other sites need gravel added to the picnic table areas. Doesn't look like the leaves have been cleaned up since last fall. The fire ring is full of ashes, the picnic table is filthy. Very disappointing conditions for such a beautiful location.

This place is awesome! Pretty much all of the waterfront spots are really nice. Some of the Alabama River sites aren't really shaded, but everything in the back is super shade. Really friendly staff and if you want to reserve a spot, do it 48 hours out, otherwise it's first come first served. No sewer, but everything else is where it should be and the grounds are fantastic. This place is mainly for fishing and relaxing, so it's not a resort. It's on back here too, so there's not much around at all, but that's why we like it.

We lived at Isaac Creek in a Motorhome for six nights in February of 2022! :)•Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & site (#33). Also loved the concrete surface. The staff was SUPER friendly - before and during our stay. We watched the Alabama River flow and rise at least 12 ft. From our site, which was exciting, but also a bit nerve-racking for us Texans -- but the staff calmed our nerves about how the river rises, the elevation levels, and assured us that our spot was safe from flooding. Laundry rooms were super convenient and fairly priced.•Cons: The location itself was a bit far away from the stores we found ourselves looking for, but other than that, there are no cons for the park we can think of!•Highlights: We called ahead of time to inquire whether or not we could have a couple of Amazon shipments sent there as we had been having trouble having packages delivered while we were traveling. They let us know this was perfectly fine and to just list our site number along with their address. Staff personally delivered our packages to our site! Thank you so much!•Furbabies Review: There were plenty of dog-friendly neighbors and even a couple of dogs who call the park their home around, so Cookies (our dog) really enjoyed the company! :) Cream (our cat) enjoyed the views of the flowing river from inside the RV.•Tips for Other Campers: There is one washing machine and dryer in each of the two bathhouses. They all work, but a couple requires extra 'finagling' with the quarter machine. Each load (washer and dryer) is $1.00 each•Our recommendations to park: Please introduce recycling to your facility! The earth will thank you :)Thank y'all for having us! We're off Livin' the Dream with Cookies & Cream. :)

Great little campground. Nice sites. Hosts are great. Had decent enough cell signal to work. Only draw back was getting supplies is time consuming. Everything is at least half hour to an hour away. There is a local store that has food and some basic supplies. The trails were great to ebike. Really enjoyed the waterfall. Very disappointed we didn’t get to see the Eagles but there were lots of deer. Also big rig friendly which is great. We were in site 32. Plenty of room.

Great COE campground with super hosts! I booked it for a couple of nights and ended up staying nearly a week. I had site 39 which had very good connectivity and was right on the river. Sites are large and level. Bathhouse is older but spotless and there’s a laundry room. It was a super quiet campground. A little out of the way, but well worth it. Paid $13/nt with senior pass.

Our family spends Thanksgiving week here every year. We always have a great time. There's playgrounds and biking trails. Hunting and fishing with boat ramps on both sides of the dam. They have electric and water at each camp site with picnic tables and an open grill. They also have a spot to dump your holding tanks. Bathroom facilities and showers and a laundry room.Playground: They have a couple playgrounds. Basket ball courtRestrooms: Restrooms have showers and are heated in the winterDog-friendliness: We saw a lot of people walking their dogs. There are plenty of trails to explore.Picnic area: Plenty of places to have a picnic. They have a couple areas with tops over the picnic tables

Enjoyed camping here. Only drawback was the bugs. We had a lot of rain and our site flooded. There was absolutely no cell service and no OTA TV at our site. We definitely were unplugged for a few days. The camp host was great. Friendly and helpful. Delivered firewood to our site free of charge. Next time hoping for no rain. We enjoyed watching the boats traveling the canal in and out to the open water.

Host were exceptional! Clean facilities. The site had BBQ grill, fire pit, picnic table, electric hook up, and water. The best site for tent camping are 13, 14, and 15. Those sites are next to the showers and also have a pier right off the site. We did not get a chance to walk the trails due to the weather and so much rain. Most definitely will be back!

Beautiful campground sets on the Alabama River. There are sites on the river and also sites with piers on Isaac creek. You have a choice to launch on the river or on the creek. Great place for fishing and also kayaking in the creek. The sites are huge and mostly shady. It’s a great place for bird watching and riding bikes. Lake Claiborne Lock and Dam is just down the road, it’s an easy bike ride or just hiking.

This is our favorite of the core parks that we have visited. We can always relax & enjoy the quiet beautiful campground. If you like to fish you have both Isaac Creek and the beautiful Alabama River. My husband & I love to walk & take in the beauty of God's creation. If you have little ones there's fun play areas and plenty of space to ride their bikes. Claiborne lock & dam is also there. It's awesome to look at! I recommend you check out Isaac Creek Campground!!

Had a great time camping here for our very first camping trip as a family. The people are nice and the staff are as well. Would definitely come back here again. If you like your cell phone service don’t come to the lower part of Alabama. I truly didn’t mind. Makes you feel like you get away.

Feb 24-Mar 1, 2019 stayed 5 nights in site 28. Backed up to the inlet off the river, beautiful site. There were not many campers at this time of year, it is 30 minutes to town, so you do need to plan ahead for supplies. It was flooding while we were there but we had a great time. Hosts that checked us in were very nice with lots of info. Bathrooms were clean and laundry is always a huge plus. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed at Issac creek in middle of June 2020, we liked it. Quet and beautiful area, some premium sites are on a big river , some on a creek side. We biked, walked and enjoyed wildlife. Some people brought their boats for a boat ramp nearby. Hosts are very nice and helpful. Also if you need firewood, it's free and volunteers that stayed there will deliver it to you.

Stayed at site 16. Was pleasantly surprised. The site had a shared dock with the site next to us. The bathrooms and showers were clean and heated. There were a few hikes in the area. Most sites appeared to be paved which was a huge plus. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Nice pads, no sewage at sites. We stayed 6 days there, very quiet. Absolutely, no cell phone, TV reception or internet...that was the not so great part. Also, bring what you need, a grocery store is 30+ minutes away.

Quiet and peaceful! Nice spacious sites and a variety, some more wooded and some more open. Sites 31-41 are along the Alabama river and have a park like setting. Sites 2-6 & 56-60 have the rustic feel with gravel pads and more woods, hope they keep those simple and natural. Only down side is the instillation of street lights. If they killed the lights after quiet time, I bet the stars would be beautiful.

Isaac’s Creek is very pretty with a LOT of trees- which make every space seem very private (We were in #17). We had one bar on my Verizon cell service, which was fine- we like to read. The way to drive there is my only draw back. Navigating through small towns and rough paved, narrow roads. We would definitely go back, though!

It's a campground. But not one I would bring my family back to. There is not any good place for fishing . Although we were able to fish but lost alot of our stuff in the water that got caught up in branches under water. The water is very dark and still and mucky. The bugs were horrible . The hot water in the bathrooms doesn't last long. Many people besides us were complaining about that. Bathrooms were out of toilet paper. I would say this would be a good place if you just wanted to go somewhere to get away and relax and not do anything. We did enjoy our family Time, cooking, and roasting marshmallows..

We first found this campground by accident back in the early 90's. The appeal of this place is beyond words to us. We started RV camping here in '94 and have been coming back ever since. We love the feeling of peace and solitude when we are here. There is no highway noise, sirens, trains or other distracting sounds except for an ocasional boat or airplane passing. There are nature trails, and other interesting things to do. There is abundant wildlife in the area to observe, and plenty of room to ride your bicycle or take a leisurely stroll. If you go camping to get away from it all, this is the place for you. If you want to be in the center of things and partake of a multitude of different activities, this is NOT the place you want to be. It is for those who want to relax and unwind from the pressures of everyday life. Perhaps we will see you there sometime as we go as often as we can. Happy Camping!!!

Beautiful campground with huge sites. We loved that it is secluded in the middle of nowhere - so be prepared! There's nothing around. The fishing is great and there are some very short hiking trails and a few playgrounds. Mostly a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Love this campground; been coming here for years. I’m disappointed in the upkeep of the grounds for the last two times I’ve been here. Grass hasn’t been cut or any weeding done, especially before any holiday visitors. Would make a nicer impression on out of town visitors and a better review. The last time we came we were told that the grounds keeper, who lives here free for that purpose, has his toys and plays more than he keeps up the grounds. That should not be tolerated, especially for the privilege of having a free place to stay.
