Pet Depot is a small but very well supplied pet center. It is stocked with a wide variety of products, with a good selection of options to choose from. It is a clean, bright store. It is staffed with knowledgeable, friendly, helpful employees.

They have a great selection of stuffBut I have a small dog and some of the staff there legit didn't ask if they could pet but they just ASSUMED bc he's friendly and curious that they could pet him,and PICK HIM UP within about a minute of meeting him they proceeded to pick my puppy up of the ground,not all dogs like to be picked up,had this been one of our other dogs they would have got bitten,they need to be more mindful of this fact,bc they're bad decisions could wind up getting my dog in trouble or whorse. Luckily the dog that was with me adores being picked up and loved on so nothing bad happend.

I come here to get crickets for my tarantulas, and their crickets are always healthy. Don’t buy tarantulas from them, they are extremely overpriced. Their fish aren’t the healthiest, due to the tanks sharing the same filter (a way to save money) which is bad because if one tank gets a disease, they all get it. They have a good selection of pet supplies. Worth checking out

Well my niece works there so we just take her and pick her up. Hours are a little odd but the outside is clean, the gates are locked for protection of the campers so I'd recommend it.

Pet Supplies Plus has went downhill since changing. They are not as friendly. They do not sell rats because it is inhumane but they still sell other feeders.

Purchased 2 fish and other items and when I got home I noticed one of the fish not acting right, so I quarantined the sickly fish which ended up dying that night. The next day I returned to pet depot to return my fish, and the staff was no help at all. They informed me I had to bring a sample of my water separate from the fish in order to get a credit voucher. On the receipt the only statement of return says “small pets and fish 10 day guarantee” nowhere does it say anything about a water sample. So now I have to make a 3rd trip to pet depot which is 29 miles where I live one way and i spent more money on gas to return a fish for my child. I also bought an axolotl there 6 months ago, and I thought they told me right on how to take care of one but it was all wrong and he ended up dead as a baby, I got in touch with a axolotl expert and the information she told me was inaccurate with what pet depot told me. I recommend shopping at Petco, better staff, better selection, better return policy.

I love that we have this pet store I just have issues here lately with them not having my pups treats and care products. I did find an okay solution but it isn't working as well as what we like.

My mother and grandmother are regular customers at this place, and have spent A LOT of money there. My mother brought my Gmas dog in for grooming, and one of the groomers was absolutely horrible to my mother. She lied on her and was extremely rude, mind u my mother's dog of 15 yrs just passed and this is where she got her groomed as well. This women had my mother in tears, and the manager did absolutely nothing about it either! From all the reviews I just read it seems like that's a regular thing at this place. If I could give them zero stars I would, and I highly recommend bringing your business literally anywhere other than this place!

Super high priced items and material for it to be the exact same “cheap” stuff you can get at Walmart. Spent $40+ on the chain collar just for it to tear up a weak later when I could have gotten the same thing at Walmart for $15.. Great service, just unreasonably high prices for their cheap made stuff.

Better quality pet selections, always stocked and clean. Service from some of the younger staff very slow.The older staff seems better, we frequently visit and spend a good chunk weekly for food and supplies. And service definitely depends on who's working.Definitely still recommend trying

First of all of my dog is on a leash I can take him inside with me. That's a big thing to me because my dog Mister can go in and pick out his own toys and treats. Secondly I love them because if you ask for help they are really knowledgeable and walk with you to help you pick out the right things for your breed which helps me because I have 3 different breeds. They are so nice and kind and take all the time you need with you. It is a big store and it stalked with everything I need. Back to my dog Mister he thinks he went on a great big adventure and it pots a huge smile on his face. He can't wait to get home so he can get all the things he picked out and that makes me happy

I've been in this store a few times. Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. Last time I was in there, I believe it was the store manager that waited on me. I was getting fish. One of the fishes tails got stuck in the net, she just grabbed the fish and yanked it out. It seems to be injured now and probably won't make it. I got a pair of catfish, after I got home, I noticed there was only 1 in the bag. She was paying more attention to what was going on around her and not on what she was doing. I don't know what happened to the other fish, maybe in the floor.

They are very rude to customers. They also close the restroom a hour before closing and refuse to open it even after I told them I wanted to buy fish and crickets. We left with only crickets. It's to hard to look for fish .and wait for them to catch them when doing the pee dance. I was in the store at or before 7PM the closed at 8pm. They just smiled at me.they lost money tonight. We have 55 gallon fish tank that has no fish!!

I like the clean, well organized store and friendly workers. My dog enjoys going shopping here. The refrigerated dog food is much better quality than Wal-Mart sells. This store has lots of toys and out of the ordinary dog accessories. 🐕

I do not recommend buying the heat lights from here. I buy the 150 watt lights from here and the longest they ever last is about a month. The lady told me my canister was probably too small (I was using the one that came with the reptile kit I bought from Pet Depot) so I bought a larger canister. I bought a new 150 watt light last week and it was blown when I got home tonight. Absolutely poor quality. Take better care of your customers Pet Depot. There are better brands for the money.

If I walk into a pet store and it smells like rodent cages you won't get me past the door. This store is always spotless! Smells fresh like a pet store should. Healthy critters, nice selection of fish and a wonderful staff. Don't have to drive to Gadsden for small pets anymore!

Honestly it is the only true pet store in town. Depends on who is working as to the service. Most visits are excellent though, keeping in mind it is a little pricy but worth it to my family. Overall I think it is a good place to shop. Groomer in house with competitive pricing, booked up usually so make an appointment. Groomer does a good job and they will call you when they are done with your fur baby.

I love my Fort Payne Pet Depot. The staff are always friendly. Pam the groomer is fantastic!! Groomers in the past have refused to groom my dog because she can be very difficult. Pam has never had any trouble with her, she has her ready within an hour or less. Don't know how she does it!! She does a great job every time. I have been using Pam for two years now. My pet Honey always looks great and loves her spa day at Pet Depot with Pam and friends.

They have a huge selection of pet food and pet supplies for how small of a lot they have. They have always treated me awesome at this location. They were absolutely amazing to my dog also. They were friendly and made educated recommendations for my exact pet. I would defiantly recommend this place to a friend. I will be coming here again.

Its absolutely incredible how rude one of the cashiers is there. Not the young one. Its the middle aged one. She needs a few lessons in customer service. I've been here twice and probably won't go back for that specific reason. Each time she was rude.
