The last review I left was 2 years ago and had nothing but great things to say about this place. BUT things change. Before the so called remodel my family and I use to visit often. We loved it. We loved the fact that we could go upstairs and we loved the little room downstairs that had steps. It was like a little adventure. We were told the upstairs was being renovated and we were told the court yard was being renovated. We went last week and were VERY disappointed. We will NEVER visit again. I'm not sure what "Remodeling" took place but we didn't see any of it. The upstairs is closed down permanently. The little room is closed down permanently. The court yard is closed down permanently. Everything is packed in to the first floor. It's FREEZING in there... They have one heater and it only reaches one spot in the whole building. Most of the stuff we wanted to buy didn't have prices on them and the one's that did were ridiculous in price. Everything was way too packed in and I felt like I was suffocating in there. What Remodeling did y'all do because I didn't see any of it. The lady running it use to be so nice and helpful. What happened because she wasn't rude per say but she acted like she hates her job and wasn't helpful at all.

Lots to look at in the consignment booths. I wish there was more of the buildings history to enjoy. Didn't try the restaurant, but looks like it could be worth a try.

I was so pleased with all the great things in this store. It was too cold to thoroughly enjoy it even though they had heat on. I want to go back and spend all day later on. I found a couple of things I liked. The old building is worth the trip not to mention the great inventory.Love this place.

Love this place! It has great food and if it's still there an antique shop that's really cool

This is an interesting antique mall. It carries all the things you would normally expect to find, but given that it's built in an old mill, it has a charm that similar places don't. Worth a visit if you're in the area for sure.

Super friendly staff. There's a ton of good stuff. It's a consignment store so the variety is huge. There is also a really cool restaurant attached.

The first floor of Big Mill is amazing! Fully stocked, and mostly well staged. Second floor is a disaster area. Looks like everyone's attic. Don't bother climbing the stairs for it. We didn't try the restaurant, but it had a lot of business so it may be something to check out next visit.

1889 Cafe is attached to the antique mall. Try the muffaletta sandwich. Potato salad was very good

This is a one of kind Antique mall due to it being located in the old Hosiery Factory. Very cool factor and the history of the building is very neat and interesting. There were a lot of booths with all kinds of unique items and antiques there. Only be warned if you go during the summer, it's pretty warm upstairs but it's not too bad downstairs. The staff working there were very friendly and helpful. A must stop in Fort Payne if you enjoy history and antiques.

I absolutely love this place. We love to go eat at the restaurant and then stroll through the antiques. Usually I find something amazing there.

Very cool old building. The dilapidated nooks and crannies add to its charm. Worth the visit alone. Many disheveled areas looking like the vendors had long passed. Second story stairs just begging for a lawsuit after a tumble. Odd, socially awkward proprietor who hovers and just happens to need to adjust or inspect some odd trinket in spitting distance every five minutes. Otherwise, good for the area.

About as historic as an antique mall could possibly be. Owned and operated by a great family who has been a part of the town's history for generations. Excellent little pub in the same building, event space, and a beautiful courtyard. I would definitely suggest stopping by if you're in town.

Really enjoyed looking around here. I saw some antique things I've never seen before. Reasonable prices. I could have spent all day looking around this place. Nice consignment type store with many areas of different types of antiques.

It was great. The burgers were juicy perfect cooking, great service, FREE WIFI, enjoyable views, great decorations ,nice people and, smooth classic rock. In my opinion I think it was much better than a 4.5 star rating it was honestly a 10 star I highly suggest this place for a non busy relaxing place to eat.

The people are really nice. I know place is 100 years old but it could use a good cleaning and organizing. Some booths had their items sitting randomly on the floor. Some prices were good, others not so much. It's still worth the trip

The service was terrible. I asked for water from two different waitresses and they both forgot twice. Food was ordered and the waitress set it down in front of a customer at a different table . He said I didn’t order anything. She then realized it was for my table and tried to serve it to me. Wouldn’t ever return to this restaurant. Unhealthy and it appeared they didn’t know what they were doing.

I could spend all day in there. So much vintage items that are hard to find these days. Friendly and helpful staff, as well. Great place, hands down

Very messy, disorganized, and cluttered. Might have had some nice things, but it was impossible to tell. Sections of the store were very cold. We'd been looking forward to going but came away disappointed.

Love to stop in, to reminisce of the old days . In the sixties and seventies it was a thriving sock mill . Where the kids in the neighborhood would run back and forth ,to play on the bridge from the mill to the road. And climb down into the ditch and walk under the road to the other side. And not get in trouble for crossing the street. There was a phone booth on the corner. It was a busy place , where the same people worked every day from 7 : 00 until 3 : 00 and a whistle would blow. Then 2nd shift would. Each day was a routine. And everyone new where you were all the time. And looked out for you. This was the good old days. Parents didn't worry about the children, because everyone new Who You were. And if you weren't from there, we new that too. But now it's a good place to get lunch and pick up something for a friend. Stop in you will find it has something for everyone.

One of the best antique malls I've seen. Huge selection, lots of furniture and really great prices. People are so friendly. Also in the same building is an amazing deli, Vintage 1889. It's worth a trip just to eat there.
