The sales lady who was super friendly when I purchased my Queen mattress did not acknowledge me when I was in need of the wooden slats needed to put the bed together. Very disappointing, as I love to support local businesses!

I've bought furniture here numerous times; always the best prices, really helpful people over the phone and in store. Live in Birmingham and make the 90 mile drive because it's always worth it. Every. Single. Time. HUGE selection. Wide range of styles, price ranges, and decor for every room.From the outside it doesn't look like much but it's definitely great.

We will never buy from here again. We drove 2 hours to get a bedroom suite and found one we loved. We had to load everything into a truck. They literally pushed things off into my husband and dads arm from the dock. We got home unloaded and starting putting together pieces and the chest of drawers were damaged. We then called them and let them know it was damaged. They told us that there is sign’s everywhere saying it’s on us if it is broke but yet it was in boxes (how could you see?). The only solution they would agree to is charging us $150 for delivery and not getting it for another week. Poor customer service.

We just bought a new house and we wanted all new furnishings. We spent nearly $25,000 for several rooms of Ashley Furniture (the BEST)! We did our homework before shopping and know that we would've spent a whole lot more if we had bought straight from Ashley. Brook has been phenomenal to work with and, with such a large order, there was so much to keep up with. She has kept us informed on shipping and our delivery date, and has just been great to work with. I highly recommend Brook if you are in the market to buy furniture. Akin's Furniture will beat any price on any piece of furniture! There is a reason why they have been in business for as long as they have!

Store and sales staff are great. Excellent selections. However, delivery service was nothing to brag about. Stripped out 5 of the screws to my bed. Sent pictures via text to manager who indicated he would replace them....month later I’m still waiting.

After all the years of doing business, I mean a lot! Basically a whole house from the over30 years, no more, they don’t want to assist me, knowing I have a disability understanding the proces of a warranty they sold me that perfectly good, this young people just basically said handle it!!!.I do know this, Mr Kerry wouldn’t have let this happen. Not himFYI, I purchased it at DogTown west this time, I called them and y’all too. So everyone understands me, just nothing what I have ever dealt with y’all, but, I guess everything changesUpdate: they got back with me with their usual awesome customer service, just a miss communication or new employee. Anyway, everyone can make a mistake, but still the best!!! Thanks

When arriving at the store I was met by no one. I was simply coming to pick up furniture that I had purchased a week before. When I got to the loading dock one of the loaders had an attitude with me. As if I was a bother to him. Then he went into the back office with such an attitude. He then informed me that he was waiting for the other person to bring the second item we purchased. He did not speak nor acknowledge we were customers. The gentlemen that I first encountered had an attitude change but only because he dealt with the preson I brought with me. I no longer was spoken to. On top of all that grievous disrespect I received our furniture was loaded in a manner that seemed like they were in a hurry to get rid of us. When we said we had more furniture this gentlemen acted as if that was an inconvenience. We have spent a lot of money as this company to be disrespected in such a manner as we were is not appreciated nor is it professional. I hope we have better customer service, I'd we decide to shop with this company again.

Great experience, well worth the drive (1 hour) to find the recliner I was looking for. A friend suggested Adkins, saying they had a great selection and she was right! Emily was very helpful but not at all pushy, she pointed us to the recliners, then checked on us just as we found the chair we wanted. She quickly handled the sale and the guys at the dock got the chair wrapped up and loaded. They apologized for the time it took but we fully expected it since they were very busy. I highly reccomend Adkins. Those folks know what they are doing. Extra points for the great lunch we had next door at the Big Time Cafe.

Great place to furniture shop. Huge selection!!! Plan on an hour visit to just walk thru the whole store. Something for ever room in your house. Take purchase home with you or schedule delivery. I just hope they still have the 3 piece living room set or something very similar to it when we go back. Our house has been delayed by at least a month now. So, we're looking at August now.

Please be advised that the return or refund policy is 10 days! This store has good furniture but if you would like a return or refund and it was delivered they will charge you twice the delivery charge for a pick up and swap out. I spent over 3K on a sectional that did not fit properly in my living space and they deducted over $700 and I’m not even sure how they got to that number. Regardless of restock fee and double delivery it wouldn’t have came up to $700. I didn’t ask for a refund just a simple swap and would have been okay with paying restock and delivery. I hadn’t even had the piece for 3 weeks. Just be mindful.

By far the best in furniture. True hardwood, awesome guarantees. Pricing was ok for the quality however, we were told upfront that there had been a 40% hiccup for the Ashley products. My sales representative was visibly upset about that. My sales representative was very helpful, knowledgeable and honest. We had dealt with her prior to this visit. It's well worth the drive for me.

Great selection of furniture, prices were good. We drove over two hours to shop at Akins Furniture. Even with few customers in the store, parking lot empty it took over and hour to get someone to assist us. Wife picked out a living room suit (approximately $4k). The staff acted as if they could careless. After trying to pay for a little over an hour, I ask to speak to one of the owners, he also acted as if we were bothering him and wasn't overly friendly. I finally told the salesperson "you have about ten minutes to take my money or we are out of here. I have purchased cars faster than our experience at Akins Furniture. The warehouse personnel loaded us quickly and was very friendly. Overall I generously rate them a three because I have to believe they must have been having a bad day. Approximately 1.5 hours for assistance, 1.5 to pay, 20 minutes to load and not very friendly or even act like they wanted us there.

I bought a table and chairs. Luckily I was able to get the last one that was one the floor. I love it. The young men that loaded it on our truck had to wrap it since the chairs were not boxed. They did a great job taking care to make sure it would get to Ider with no issues. Wonderful young men. Thank you

I went in shopped with Tammy and she was AWESOME. They were extremely busy so I walk around the entire WAREHOUSE, taking pictures of all of the items I was interested in. Once I was finished looking I spoke with a EXTREMELY nice finely age young lady at the front desk that called for a sales person. Tammy came and we walked around the entire warehouse 3 more times (bless her heart) looking and pairing up and moving sets. I NEVER felt rushed or less than a customer. The prices are AWESOME and I look forward to going back to add to my order already in place. Thank you for your great customer service, prompt attention, and your no pressure sales force.

This place has a great selection and great prices for sure. But we are less than impressed with the customer service. We have furnished our living room, kitchen and dining area with their furniture but the dining room table we ordered has been delivered twice now damaged. I’m having it ordered for the 3rd time today. Furniture is not cheap and frankly, I’m very unimpressed with Stephanie, the delivery coordinator who basically made it seem like it’s such an inconvenience for her to have to order AGAIN and gave me attitude about how they have no control over what happens to our furniture in the truck. Nice attitude. Considering it’s OUR money, yes, we’d like our furniture non damaged. I’m also not impressed with Catherine (Katherine—spelling?) my husband has emailed her a few times with pictures of the leveling screws missing on our kitchen table chairs and she has not once emailed him back. Customer service sucks here and we’ll be sure to be speaking to a manager soon.
