One of the best ones I've been to-- many fresh produce and meat options. Very clean and looks more high end than a traditional commissary. Employees are very nice and lines move quite smoothly. Some item prices are significantly higher than outside retail stores such as protein supplements (shakes, bars, chips, etc).Otherwise, overall a great store.

After serving 23 years in the Air Force, traveled all over the world, I have to come to an Army base to find the nicest commissary I've ever seen! Lol!!! Honestly, I thought I walked into a Raleys, Safeway, or some other high-end grocery store...love the place!!!!

OMG! The COMMISSARY on FT Rucker (Novosel, he, she, they)! Enter to be transported to another place- a culinary exposition beyond belief. I’m obsessed with this place! I went in for a bag of chips and came out with a month’s worth of groceries and school/household supplies! The prices were fabulous, the associates were so helpful! Sandwich counter was so indescribably good! AND if you don’t want to check yourself out there are banks of super helpful associates that will check you out and baggers that work hard to earn the hefty tip they can expect! All that, not to mention perfect parking, sparkling restrooms, and scrupulously shiny floors! I can’t wait to go back!

The prices are higher , than shopping off post , and the director could use a class in inventory control..........so many out of stock items , but they have enough candy to make everyone a diabetic , need to focus on real world groceries , and not fad diets.You really should take better care of the Military Personnel............and yes I understand the situation ( 20 years as a store manager ) The director is so out of touch with her customers and their needs

Went in today to buy some groceries, got home and realized this package expired 7 months ago. Why is this possibly on your shelves still? Tried calling the office in store and you can get ahold of anyone.

The best place around to get your meats. They have an actual butcher in store. They will cut and package your purchase anyway you like. No sales tax, but they do charge a small fee when shopping here. You must also be able to get on base to shop here. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Great prices, good selection, fast checkout, clean store, friendly cashier. A lot of the meat had Best Buy date of today! Not happy with that. How much are we expected to pay the bagger?!! He wasn’t happy with what I gave him and stood there until we gave him more. Geez!!

Very limited choices on dog food, but usually able to supply whatever you need within reason. Update, canned dog food has gotten unaffordable....... even here

Left without checking out. Only had one person working the register. Went to the self checkout that no one was using. Was told by the person working there no you can’t check out with over 30 items. With 15 people in line to check out. I decided to leave rather than stand in line that long. I was there Thursday may 18 2023 at 10:30.

If you have been buying iceberg lettuce here recently youve been getting ripped off 0.50$ a head, If you download, nd /or use the commissary twice monthly sales flyer, beware of improperly priced products. If the commissary has a higher price the sale price must be honored.

The staff is very friendly. They have most of anything someone would need to do in a gym. It is mostly large open spaces where everyone works out. Cardio is in a separate room from lifting options, and there are several tracks with mile markers surrounding the gym. A standard track for track runners and some more scenic ones. They offer batting cages as well. The other location has a basketball gym and a rock climbing wall with a few group fitness classes.

it is a clean place for the military they have baggers it is nice to tip it is a great place to grab lunch or dinner or even breakfast and everything is pretty cheap

PRO: Very large facility. Has an awesome selection. The store is very well laid out item's are easy to locate. Prices were very reasonable and plenty of items were on sale. Meat prices were awesome and when cooked the meat was great.CON: The self check out - you are forced to show your ID twice for what seems to be no reason. A person verifies your ID..then you are also forced to scan it? The self checkout machines are very sensitive and it gets frustrating.Only offers 1 isle where you bag it yourself.To many baggers always hanging out near the exits instead of working/blocking the exits. At times it almost feels like the "walk of shame"

A bagger ignored me asking them multiple times to not bag for me and then they gave me a serious aditude when I refused to tip. Hopefully he learned a lesson, but I doubt it. Anyone who needs to bag in retirement can't be the brightest.The Commissary should throw out every bagger that isnt a teen.

They just can't meet the demands of the consumers. While outside grocery stores are restocking even with the COVID-19 and trying to keep items coming in daily, Ft Rucker Commissary can't even get products in.Update 11/02/2023: I didn't change the rating. Just wanted to add, that they need more cashiers. Day after pay day, and only 2 registers and express lane were open. I also did a price comparison, it's hit or miss. Several walmart brand items are definitely cheaper than the commissary personal brand.

The location is phenomenal (I live across the street, what can I say :) The difference between shopping here and a Walmart is night and day. Any slight increase in price you pay for items more than makes up for it in how clean the store is and how professional and courteous the staff is.

I enjoyed the Ft Rucker Commissary. Very clean and everything named and where it should have been. The prices on meats are excellent , some things were a bit higher but all in all a great place to shop and you don't have to take to your car. The person bagging does that for you. It was so wonderful to leave and be stress free from shopping. Thank you.

Have gone five times at the time of this review. Has had everything my family of four plus a dog needs, the prices are comparable and usually better to what's in the surrounding area, and the entire store is in great condition. Not finding spoiled meat or veggies or expired goods etc... Staff is also friendly and helpful. No reason to shop anywhere else.
