Great place to get your pets taken care of. You can get your dogs groomed, including nails, bathed, and trimmed. Also will take care of your cats too. You can also board your pets there. They will take great care of your fur babies. Highly recommend them.

We love Open Gates. Our dogs run in every time and appear to love every staff member - and one of my dachshunds is very choosy about who they like so this tells me a lot! The staff has also gone out of their way to accommodate our needs - we couldn't be happier and highly recommend them.

My two dogs just stayed a week at open gates and I cannot tell you how satisfied I am with their care. They also groomed and bathed my dogs for an extra fee. I will definitely use them for my dog care again!! Great staff!

I have brought my dog here for boarding several times and it seemed like all was going well. The staff was always very nice. I brought him to stay last night while I was out of town and when I picked him up today I found that he had multiple cuts and patches of skin missing on his front paws. He also had a lump on his head…all of this just in 24 hours!! No one mentioned anything to me when I was picking him up and I finally got a good look and saw everything once I was home. I tried calling as soon as I could but didn’t reach anyone. It feels negligent that he could have gotten this badly hurt and no one noticed or told me about it. I give them two stars only because I did have good experiences in the past but I don’t think I trust them to take care of my dog any longer.Edited: I spoke with the team at Open Gates regarding the injury, they were apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned that something like this could have happened. I appreciated their insight and their efforts to correct the issue. I am obviously still quite hesitant to return but they do seem like good people who want to do their best to care for others’ pets. It was an unfortunate situation that I hope will not happen to others in the future. Edited to include three stars for their care and effort.

I’ve left my dog at open gates multiple times and also brought both of them up there for a bath and nails and they always love it there. They are treated with unconditional love, kindness, and respect! It is very sanitary and you can tell the staff treat the animals like they’re their own and give them their attention and time and they tend to their every need! They are also comforted and made sure they’re comfortable and have enough time to go out and play and use the bathroom but also make sure they have plenty of water on hot days and warm blankets on cold ones!!! The groomer is excellent and super sweet and makes sure your baby looks and feels its best! Wouldn’t trust my dog staying anywhere else but open gates :)) 10/10 recommend

Our dogs have been treated well here. It's all good from our experience with the staff and Michael, who is an exceptional groomer who listens to your instructions and grooms the way you ask him to and does a professional job. We've used many groomers over the years and finding one who listens and does such a fantastic job is rare. Our dogs are always happy when we go to Open Gates, anxious to get inside and see Michael. Give your dog credit for knowing a happy place from one that's not. We used another boarder once and when we picked up our dogs they tucked their tails and backed their ears when an employee came to help us check out & leave. That tells me that person was not kind to my dogs and we won't go back there. At Open Gates they are happy on arrival and on leaving. Every time.

Great place for our Basset Hounds to stay while we travel. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive to our specific needs. Our dogs are never stressed out and really like the staff. They even offer bathing and grooming before you pick them up.

As I set here and read a couple of the bad reviews. I can't help, but laugh. You have to look at the creditability of the person writing the review. There is not much creditability to either of the two writing these reviews. It was good for them when they are being helped out and/or getting their way. First I want to thank the employees at Open Gates Pet Resort. Laurie, LaDonna, Cable, Larry, Andrew, Michael, Alie, Leslie and Cheyenne. I am very impressed with the staff at Open Gates Pet Resort. The staff is awesome and I haven't seen anyone else care for animals like the employees at Open Gates Pet Resort. The owner does not put up with employees hollering at your fur babies at all. That gets taken care of immediately and will not have them on her staff. They even take the time out of their day to check on my dogs without asking them to that are not even in the resort. They have taken care of my new born puppies and mother at times when I could not. The groomer Michael is one of the best I have ever seen and cares so much about the animal that he is grooming. I know there is other places that you could take your pets, but please consider Open Gates Pet Resort for your fur baby needs.

We had to go out of town this week and had to board our 17 year old Yorkie. He is blind and has never stayed away from my wife and I overnight before. We chose open gates because it was close to us.upon going in and meeting the staff and seeing the facility we chose them to take care of our beloved Jake. They had photos of him on line so we could see he was fine. This is a first class place with very caring people running it. If you need a place to leave your pet I do highly recommend them. Went to check out the site and see about boarding my dogs and cats. People there were friendly and knowledgeable. Took a tour of the facilities. Clean, well kept, I'm very spacious. They also offer daycare which in retrospect I think I may also take advantage of. And the cost was very reasonable.

WOULD RECOMMEND!!!The staff are very nice and loving, our dogs love coming here every time. The groomer is very excellent at his job and he will even take the time to show you what an amazing job he has done, I would recommend getting your baby groomed here!!

There are very few who I would trust to leave Axel (Doberman) with, but the gang at Open Gates make my wife and I feel comfortable and confident that Axel will receive attentive, loving care. Axel is comfortable staying there and enjoys all of the love and attention from the gang. Open Gates is a blessing!

Our puppy and two cats had a great time on there vacation at Open Gate. Staff was awesome. I will be using them again in the future. It was really nice to see pictures of them each day we were away. They also send you a report card of how they did.

I'm not sure I'm that pleased with Open Gates today. My dog is a very overly friendly dog and when I picked her up today, as I was leaving she shied away and hid behind my legs and jumped up on my lap, and for a 35lb pittie she doesn't do that unless she feels threatened or mistreated. When I got her home she made a beeline to the backyard to do both numbers...so evidently she wasn't taken out to potty this morming. I picked her up at 1:30! Once she got done with that, she immediately started smelling the kitchen and leaning on the kitchen counter searching for food... I gave her water first and she drank like she hadn't had any water there....... I feel very disappointed, in Open Gates and as a furr-mom because I left her there and she wasn't taken care of. :-(#notagain

I would never leave my fur babies anywhere else. I know what goes on here and I fully trust them with my fur babies. Have an excellent staff that loves babies and the groomer goes above and beyond to make your baby comfortable and look great. Highly recommend

Thought it was a good place, but come to find out they employ people who mistreat the animals and they dont provide the same services as other places. The groomer, Michael, doesn't fo a great job and cuts corners. And people who worked with him at his last job said he was fired for beating dogs. The owner, Laurie Perkins. Is hardly ever around and has no idea what is happening at her own business. She is also quite childish and two face. She says one thing and does another all the time. It is not the best place to bring your furry family members. I will never go back and will be spreading the word to everyone I know and the rest of the Google community. That place shouldn't even be in business.... also had to update all the following reviews added after mine are NOT from customers, they are from all of the staff trying to save face. This place is a joke!

Correction to Michael Stewart's post. Was fired for putting in my notice. They only want employees who are young and don't need a lot of money or hours, or really have any opinion of their own. The owner is never around and is very unprofessional and will post things about you on her Facebook page. It's all good though. Got a better job with better people and pay/hours. The place is run like an actual business and the owners are always there working. Much more professional as well.

Pro’s: I trust them. They give your dog time to play outside. I will use them again.Con’s: They do not socialize the animals. Also, they tried to give me another dog- honest mistake, but me and the other dog were perplexed.
