BAM (5 Stars) JOE MUGGS (-10 stars) I Loved everything about Books a Million but the coffee shop. My husband threw his black coffee out as soon as we hit the door and I ordered a small chai latte that was like a cup of LAVA. It was so damn hot It burned my tongue and by the time I could taste it, the cup was 1/2 empty because it was mostly foam. The Chai Latte was also FLAVORLESS and tasted like warm water with a splash of milk. BAM you need to FIRE the 2 kids in JOE MUGGS and get real Baristas, then you would be the Best Book store ever.

I've been a few times for specific books I was looking for and they can be a little expensive, but what I really go in for is Joe Muggs, which doesn't seem to have a separate business page for information and reviews.I was initially in love with their Vanilla Bean Frappe, however, that all changed when they introduced the Alice in Wonderland themed drink specials last year, which included a Tea Party Frappe. So obsessed with how great it was, I came almost every day just for a 20oz frappe (or two)... Until they no longer offered it. Honestly, I haven't been in but a couple of times since then while accompanying my boyfriend in the bookstore - not even for the vanilla one. Just like when Smoothie King got rid of matcha, there's nothing similar enough to matcha (or earl gray tea) to replace the flavor I'm missing.Today. Today was the day! I passed by while heading to Publix and saw a couple of the Alice in Wonderland drink specials on the sign outside. After inquiring about the drinks, they don't appear to have the Tea Party Frappe listed, which makes my heart sink, but the guy working knew the drink I was looking for and was able to make it for me! As he made it, I could tell by the aroma alone it was going to be perfect- he did not fail me! If I get a craving for an earl gray tea blended with a smooth vanilla frappe, then I can stop by to pop in and see if this guy is working and have my long-lost pick-me-up within in my grasp.

Big box book store. Market prices and large selection. If they don't have it they can order it for you. The decent sized discount section was a pleasant surprise, can't beat $5.99 or less for new books some of which were currently popular titles. Very nice staff.

I'm not sure who the manager is, but the on-duty lady who was in charge on Jan. 4, 2023 - brown hair - and working at the cafe was the most helpful and friendly woman. Just so sweet and accommodating. The 17 year old girl at the register was also very helpful and sweet. Will definitely be back.

5 stars if you don’t mind the coffee shop being slow. Went in to browse idly and nearly instantly found a bunch of interesting books! Found one irresistible - and it was on sale, too!

Very well stocked book store. They have a great children's section from newborn babies all the way thru teens. There are also many books of all different genres. Something for everyone.

My grandson was looking for Manga books. They had a few so we purchased one. The store is new, very well kept and the lady who helped us was very nice. Nuff said..

Great place to work to buy books, gifts, and more. The have a small selection of vinyl, role playing game such as D&D, and a large selection of your favorite magazines. Plus grab a hot coffee at Joe Muggs while reading. I spend hours here.If you're looking for a specific book and they don't have it in the store, ask one of their friendly helpful staff, they'll be happy to order it for you.

I always try to purchase books and related supplies at Books-A-Million. It is an Alabama-owned company and there's something special about being able to walk into a book store, see the books, spend time. Yes, I'm a nerd but more and more we see physical stores disappear. This is one reason I support local businesses. I ran in to get John Graham's new book.

Wish the prices were a little better, but they offer good sales from time to time and the membership plan is worth it if you buy books. The little coffee shop area is a quiet place to sit that most folks don't know about.

I absolutely adore Books-A-Million. They always have such a variety of things and if you're a book lover then you would love this place. Some of the prices are expensive but it's worth it and if you're there stop in and get you a drink or coffee. This picture is just when I took today while I was there of a pair of socks, they have awesome things like this so this is just so you'll see.

Clean, Quiet, amazing smell of coffee. Employees are nice and very helpful. Was able to just ask the front desk employee and she got me someone to get the book my daughter needed for school.

I love buying books here.But lately, they have 3 younger ladies who work on the counter they are rude.They are busy talking to each other instead of working with the customer. Hopefully, they’ll do better with their customer service one day

The customer service here was terrible. The woman working last Saturday was very rude and acted like she did not want to be bothered when we asked for her help when trying to find 2 books for my son. We won't be going back there ever again.

I had gone to Dunkin because I was close to them, but the lady behind the counter was busy talking on her cell phone and when she finally did ask if she could help me, she informed my they did not have any decaf coffee. I left and drove the extra miles to go to Joe Mugg's inside the BAM, Florence, Alabama, store. The young lady behind the counter, Hailey, was AMAZING and very courteous! She made my coffee drink and it was absolutely perfect! She rocks!

I always LOVE going to books a million. Their coffee shop is better than Starbucks in my opinion. I can always find new books when I go from DnD books, to Manga, to fiction, and even history. I ADORE them. I also love their coffee mugs and socks to. They sell so much more than just books and it's amazing. Also the associates are always super nice and helpful to.

The staff was so so helpful! I had about 20 minutes to shop and I found everything I was looking for in the shop. It was so well organized and spaced out for everyone to comfortably get around. I highly recommend the store and I would definitely get a membership. It costs $25, but it saves you so much and works both in-store and online. Cannot wait until my visit!

Went in looking for a United States road atlas. Was a little difficult to find and the associate even had trouble, had been moved since her last shift. All in all a good experience.
