The receptionist is very rude and disrespectful when u call and ask about bringing your animal in to be seen she ask if they have ever seen them before and if u say no then they will refuse to see them and will not even make u a appointment to become a new patient. How can u become a new patient if they will not make u appointment to become a established one. This was not the first time we have called or went by their office and the receptionist was very rude. I hear the Dr is very professional but I will never know because of the receptionist. We had called because our cat had got hit by a car and both legs were broken and was told by a retired veterinarian to call them to have our cat put to sleep the receptionist ask if we had brought them there before and I said no and she said let me ask the Dr and came back on the phone and said u need to call the other veterinarian's office in town or the one in Hamilton or Haleyville. Being rude to a aminal's owner when they are upset anyways vecause they are fixing to lose their animal and then to be talked to so rudely is very uncalled for and unprofessional of the receptionist!

Called because my dog needs her shots. Said they wasn’t taking new patients?? Said my 4 month old German shepherd was too big they couldn’t lift her when she was grown.. I’m so confused.. I thought vets cared about the health and wellbeing of all dogs and cats.

My ten year old Boxer started having seizures out of nowhere and had 6-7 during the night. He slept most of the following day and then around 4:20p.m. started seizing again. Terrified and frantic, I called and they allowed me to bring him right in. I was beside myself with worry, exhaustion and grief. Robert and Dr. Newton were wonderful! She did bloodwork and assessed him for well over an hour. She prescribed medication and gave me direction of what to do next. This is him a week later! Playing, happy, and no seizures so far! I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for me and my baby! We love y'all!

Called because my dog was hit by a car and they told me they couldn’t see her because she’d never been there before and I didn’t have an appointment- no I didn’t plan on my dog getting hit by a car

Our regular vet was out of town and my dog has an issue I had wanted to see the vet about before Monday. So we looked this clinic up and headed that way. My husband told me he felt pushed out and unwelcome. Stated that he was given the impression that the receptionist was to busy to be concerned with him stating that they were too behind to see our pet. My husband asked the receptionist if the vet could just take a quick look to make sure he would be alright until we could see a vet and she stated no. No concern was given by asking what was wrong with our pet. Only stated that they were behind and we should just see our own vet because it would be then before they could get to us. I know folks get busy and sometimes you cannot see everyone that comes in. I just feel that this could have been handled better.

Called in with concerns about our 9 year old family pet. Told the receptionist he was bleeding from a tumor and we wanted a second opinion before putting him down. She stated she would have the vet call me. Nothing... the next day she explained they were closed at lunch on Thursday. She said she didn’t understand it was urgent. My daughter slept in the garage with him crying all night. The vet is probably great based on these other reviews but the front desk is horrible. Communication is horrible. No answering service, answering machine...1950

Front staff is beyond rude. Our normal vet is closed so I went there. There was no one in the parking lot and no one in the clinic, yet they refused to see my cat that can’t put any weight on her foot because they work by appointments only. I understand I didn’t have an appointment but emergencies do happen. The lady told me I couldn’t make an appointment or leave my cat for treatment.

I took my dog up to the animal clinic the and cause he had a cut on his neck and because we took him to another vet and they were close so she said I can't see him

The secretary is always rude with no bedside manner always has an attitude and never returns calls or makes appointments. The vet is very good and has a great bedside manner if you can get in to see her past the secretary

Everyone there was great. We didnt have an appointment but was seen within 30 min and our cat was taken care of quickly and giving antibiotics.
