This was the worst, most unprofessional experience one could imagine. I bathed my dog twice, while waiting to get him groomed over a three day, and was given the runaround, then told me I wasn't on the schedule. These people wasted my time, but probably a blessing and disguise, because apparently they have no idea what they're doing. They then told me that they would no longer service me or my dog because they were too busy, with no other explanation. Absolutely ridiculous! So I then proceeded to Waggy Tail, where I received the ultimate service. The cost was a little more, but definitely worth it. Excellent service and professionalism is everything!

Firstly, the on site staff here is amazing and when grooming is available it’s done well and at a great value.However, the online system will show available times that are not in fact available. I’ve shown up twice with confirmed appointments only to be told the groomer is not in. My blame and frustration is with poor upper management and a bad software selection for their online portal. I’ve also had to create multiple accounts bc the Tractor Supply account doesn’t allow me to make a Petsense account.If you want to use their services, call them first and make sure someone is available. Like it’s 1997.

I had 2 bags of dog food and a couple other things ready to check out ALL of which I am carrying myself plus one of the 3 children with me and one thing didn't have a sticker and I'm there out of breath from walking with all the stuff in my hands plus him and 2 bags of dog food and this guy named Caden was like "is there another one of these back there because there's no sticker" I was like "I don't know I'm sure there is more" and he was like "well you need to go check" and I said "seriously I need to walk back there and swap it?" Looking at 3 kids and he was like "yeah no sticker can't ring it up" and just stood there staring at me so I carried one child and took the other two and whatever else I had back there to swap the thing for one with a sticker and went back up there and he was like "good you found one"Never in my life have I had this happen to me at a store where I am told to "go get one with a sticker" myself instead of the employee doing it at any store especially when I am very clearly overwhelmed. My husband called to speak to Caden about being so disrespectful and he did not care a bit. He also called corporate and spoke to the store manager regarding this incident.Edited 5/1/2024- went in the store alone to purchase dog food. After telling the girl working the register my husbands phone number, Caden stepped in front of me behind the register and began to HARRASS me , "you didn't need to do that" I said excuse me?" "you didn't need to do that- have your husband call the store" this is completely unnecessary and I will not continue to be harassed every time I walk into this store!

Empty dog food shelves? Have not had my dog food in month. Asked clerk who said truck comes Tuesday, did not want bother. Manager says I cannot order it anymore ,do not know why. I replied I can order on line why cant you. She said I do not know? I said maybe call. She said no but you can. I contacted customer service. They replied, said sorry district manager would get back to me 24hrs. After 2 days emailed customer service, never heard from mang or customer service. Amazing.

Great experience! Super nice employees. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because the prices here are higher than most places and that discouraged me from purchasing extra. Positive is that it's convenient and they sell a large variety of quality dog food/treats. I will definitely come back because the retail associates went out of their way to help me find what I needed.

I showed up for a grooming and my appointment had been deleted by the staff. The girl explained that she and another girl talked about rescheduling my appointment, but instead deleted it. I know accidents happen, but there were no……. I’m sorry this happened or can we reschedule. After that I expected at least a phone call from them apologizing. I was a repeat customer and liked the groomers and staff, but I guess I expected more customer service.

This place is a joke. Spent 20.00 to wash my 2 dogs. The self wash had no shampoo so I had to wait for an employee to bring me 2 bottles of watered down dog shampoo ( questionable) . How do I know it was watered down … the shampoo was warm from the warm water they put in it. Not one bottle was labeled as to what kind of shampoo was in it. This was my first time using the self wash here and it will be my last.As I was walking out I noticed 3 dead fish in a container.

Fairhope Petsense has been so amazing to us. They have helped share our pets and allowed us an opportunity to feature the babies in our care for adoption. We are incredibly blessed for Kassy she's such a kind person.

I took my dog here to get groomed on January 26th and a couple of days later she had sores all over her so I message the customer service line they got back in touch with me and said the manager would be contacting me. He emailed me and told me to take her to the vet and he would reimburse me for the vet bill that was almost $300! Today is march 23rd and I have yet to receive a check and it has been a back and forth thing. No communication. This is very unprofessional. I would hate to have to take legal action but this is ridiculous!!!

I came into this store on Thursday, and want the managers and staff of this store to know how lovely the cashier was. I dropped some litter on the floor and let her know, just because I work in the service industry and hate to leave any mess and not say anything. She was so upbeat, sweet and kind to me after i had a bad day at work. She was one of the only people nice to me that day. Our interaction made my day, and I will definitely be back. I didn’t get her name, but thank you so much. Your kindness changed my day for the better, and I hope I can run into you again! She was working around 4-5pm this past Thursday, managers! Give this girl a raise, she definitely deserves it! You never know what people are going through, and I just have to write this because I’ll never forget her and her kindness. This will be my go to pet store for now on! See you next time I need some cat litter/food hopefully!

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable manager and team. We have purchased a Bearded Dragon here and adopted a kitten from Baldwin County Humane Society which was kept at this location. We also get to of supplies and food for our pets. Great local store!

Great location in town without having to drive all the way to Tractor Supply. You really can't do better than Tractor Supply or Petsence for your dog food needs.

These guys have aisles and aisles of cat and dog food, supplies, toys, etc. and even have supplies for birds, reptilian friends, and other pets like ferrets and hamsters. I just left there with a small animal container that an employee price-matched to help me save a decent amount. No one will ever convince me their employees won't give an arm and a leg to make sure their customers walk out happy. Highly recommend.

I used the "You wash 'em" dog wash. There is a tub for a large dog and a tub for a small dog. Shampoo and towels are provided. They had waterproof aprons. We bought a 5 bath pack discount card deal. I'm very happy with the whole experience. And then I bought a toy for our new rescue dog... and some treats and chew bones!

We had an awesome time. There was a younger girl there that was very sweet, and had lots of good advice. I wish I remembered her name, I do know she has ball python herself. I just wanted everyone to know how amazing she is with help. It's a nice and clean store with great help overall.

They Great Job on bath and hair cut for our Yorkie. Way better than Pet Smart that kept our baby for 8 hours and never got to him. Fairhope Pet Sense gave appointment time and was done with everything almost to the minute. We will be using them again.

They do not price match competitors sale prices. I have never had a problem with them doing this until today. Also, the cashiers do not wear masks even though the sign on their door clearly states they are required for entry. Guess they forgot we are in a pandemic!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE FOR GROOMING! Absolutely terrible experience! Dropped my 4 pound dog off as a first time customer and she called me after putting her in for bath and said my dog was biting her 😳🙄 my pup has NEVER done that before on a bath so it’s evident that my fur baby felt her bad vibes! Was on my way to a meeting and smelled like wet dog due to having to turn around and pick my baby up shaking like a leaf! Don’t put your fur babies through this!

My wife and I weekly carry our little dog to see what treats are available. Staff always very friendly.Update as of October 30, 2021: My Wife attempted to return a dog toy she purchased on October 27, 2021, which was my dog's 2nd birthday. One of the toy's ears fell off. It was not chewed off. My Wife presented the purchase ticket with the toy and wished to exchange. The staff member refused to exchange saying "they don't do that" which was interesting since we have been told in the past that they would. We are Fairhope residents who bring our dog in regularly (at least every other week) and purchase something from the store each time there. That was quite disappointing and not generally the response we receive. My dog was there dressed in her Halloween costume with my Wife as well that day. My Wife was quite upset and shared with neighbors who also patronize Petsense what occurred. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident. Andy Patrick

I went to Petsense on 2/28/19 to have my pet groomed I called the prior day to scheduled it and get info on prices and special add ones. I was informed that they were running add onspecial for 10 dollars. Which would bring my total to $57. The stars are for Jade the groomer . She was great in the grooming of my pet Roxy. Professional and knowledgeable. Now to what I didn’t like and the reason I won’t go back during the checkout process the cashier seemed frustrated and rude when totaling it was not reflecting the special to which I inquired why. I informed her of the $10 add on sale and gave her the final bill from groomer total $57 yet it was still coming out for more. When I inquired she rolled her eyes to which at that point I took offense and asked her what was the issue to call her manager instead she called a co worker that tried to figure out the problem without success. I asked her again to call her manager they ended up calling her over the phone since she was not present at the store. She instructed them what to do and I was finally and after a while able to pay. During this ordeal I asked her to speed it up as I had a cab waiting for me and in all honesty it shouldn’t take that long to get checked out to which she said well pay the incorrect amount because I’m not about to be short on my register. Ain’t she something over charge a customer and the nerves of how rude she was . Take a clue from Petco and Petsmart on how good they are both on how the treat pets and pet parents. I usually have my dog groomed at Petco but decided to give your place a try because it was closer and also because I had a later appointment so it was convenient to take her closer to home. I not only miss my appointment but also ended up paying twice the amount for the cab due to the long wait. I would have kept going for all my pets needs but I strongly believe people should show respect and good customer service skills if they want people to keep spending their hard earned money on their business. That didn’t happen yesterday I didn’t even get an apology for the unnecessary wait and distress.

I like the location and products. The employees aren't unfriendly just not well trained. As a customer service trainer, an untrained staff is a reflection on management. A custmer should not have to hunt an employee down, ringing up a customer shouldn't be less important than building a display, and if they lack product knowledge they should know to pass the buck and not leave a customer looking on Google for product information.

I don’t usually do this, but I felt compelled to.I went in your store mainly just to see what they had.I got a few items and went to check out.Well the 1st thing happened, I had picked up a little toy for my bird. Cashier rudely told me, that I couldn’t buy the toy as it wasn’t for sale..ok!!!!!decorations, idk.Long story short, I won’t go back!!!Look, if you don’t like people, don’t get a job dealing with them!!!!!!

Took dog to be groomed family member picked him up, not a good grooming job called store and took him back later that day still didn't fix everything. Corie did a bad job uneven clip, toenails missed, face uneven will not be back.
