The first two nites, the front desk employee was not friendly at all. The third nite, a different front desk employee was a pleasure to work with. There was smoking in the hotel where I had had requested a no smoking room. I am allergic to smoke and had to breath it when I went down the hall. Other than that, I was not there till the evening each day to spend time in my room.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in. My entire 45 years of life. The walls were paper than my husband and I got no sleep whatsoever because all you did here were the people upstairs stomping and people talking in the other rooms, and every time someone turned on a shower or flushed a toilet. You could. Hear the water running through the walls in our room. Horrible experience I do not recommend

Room was clean, bathroom was clean! Has a TV, mini fridge, microwave! The ONLY thing was that when we arrived in the room is that it was very hot, the AC wasn’t on however we had to step out anyways and when we came back 20 minutes later the temperature was nice and cool. Although I understand that it’s not season and maybe it was to save money. Anyways, the front desk staff member was very nice and even asked us if everything was okay after checking out the room. Typical breakfast, waffle maker, coffee, OJ, a few different cereals. All in all, it was a very nice visit :) Thank you!

(Positive/negative feedback) *Noticeable bed bugs* *but clean and good service*I trust Econo Lodge hotels because they are practical, clean, and resunambly cheap. I reserved a stay here, and this location is basically right next to a Chevron in the middle of almost nowhere from Alabama.It looked scketchy from outside tho. As soon as we went in, we got wonderful service from the front desk guy. The establishment looked clean and organized from inside.However, we then entered the hotel room and quickly noticed bed bugs in the curtains and carpet. Bed bugs are big and small and we've dealt with them in the past so we were not taking any chances. They seem to already have done an infestation control and believed they were gone. But they are not yet. The bed bugs did look like they were trying to die, but their was plenty. And we weren't taking any chances.We decided to keep on driving in plain midnight through some really dark roads and decided to go the best hotel around here, a 5 star rating hotel in the area, just 37min away, Best Western Plus hotel. The price is only $30 bucks more but its better than staying at Econo and fighting bed bugs in your luggage, clothes and then home which is a 6month fight, irritation, and very costly. I hope Econo Lodge takes care of the infestation again.

Dirty facility, mold and mildew growing inside the in-room coffee maker. Very dark inside room. TV did not function well, TV remote control did not work on most functions. Bath tub did not drain well, tub filled during shower, had to delay next person's shower to drain tub before the next person could take shower. Most problems could be very easily corrected by deep cleaning and handyman's attention. The advertised free breakfast did not exist. A person was living inside the breakfast area. Very disappointing facility.The front desk check in people were great.I plan to not visit again in future.

This place needs major updates, had no shower curtain in the shower had to ask for one, the walls had stuff all over them, the shower faucet was broken off, the toilet seat was broke, half painted, the WiFi didn’t work at all, the beds were uncomfortable. Only good thing was the tv it was actually decent. just horrible! I do not see how this place is still in working order. I usually don’t complain but this is ridiculous! Some things would be so cheap to fix, but they honestly don’t care!

If you don't mind the smell of pot throughout the hotel? This place is cheap and comfy . Mini fridge and microwave with your own coffee maker . Bed was huge . Showers were hot . Overall this place barely hit the 3 star mark .

Eutaw Alabama location. I gave it 2 stars because the front desk person was very nice. Front desk area was a cloud of weed smoke when I arrived. The elevator was full of weed smoke as I was leaving. Took over 2 hours for the AC to cool the room. Advertised free wifi, there was not even a signal to try to connect to. The TV would not turn on. They did send someone up to service it. He was on a personal phone call, on speaker, the entire time but he did fix it and gave me a thumbs up. I was given a key to an occupied room first. I'm getting tired of typing, but there is more. Do not recommend! Scary place. Did not feel safe at all.

We booked here because we had stayed before and had a pleasant experience but this time it was different! This visit we stayed in a King room on BOTTOM floor. Booked a week in advance using website. When you walk in the lobby you smell cigarette smoke strongly. Got to our room there and it smelled terrible! Apparently it was a "smoking" room even though there was clearly a "no smoking" sign on the door. (Explains the smell in the lobby) This WAS MY FAULT for over looking on booking, so it could be the difference in smoking and non smoking rooms. We are not smokers. Our experience before was in a non smoking king room and everything was fine then but this time it was not. Our lock was broken and they made no attempt to repair it or move us to a room we felt secure in. The bathroom had bad repair/patch jobs all throughout. There was a hole in the wall by the TV. The carpets were badly stained and burned from cigarettes. The furniture the same. The AC couldn't keep up with the southern heat and sounded like something was rattling out of place all night. The bed slept mediocre. The TV is outdated and some channels didn't come in well. The breakfast was typical bagels, muffins, waffles, cereal and juice. The owners were very friendly but other hired staff was not. You'll be able to tell the difference. As I said, our experience in a non smoking room was completely different and much more pleasant. The smoking room, 126, is terrible, smells bad, and looks like they've had to break into it a lot because the bolt had be broken a few times. It has had its share of "rough crowd" staying in it from the looks of all the damages as well. That was not the case for the non smoking room.

this was the only hotel in the area who would let me stay overnight even though I am not 21 yet. I called the front desk before I arrived to confirm if I could stay, and after answering, she hung up in my face without saying anything else. when I arrived, she was sweet but was also on her personal cell phone with somebody else on speaker.I was surprised to see that the bathrooms were very clean and the room was nicely prepared.I thought the price was expensive for just one night.

Barely any hot water. My family couldn’t bathe. AC didn’t work.Fridge didn’t keep cool, it Wouldn’t even make ice in the freeze section.Housekeeping was super loud and fussing before 8am. Room smells like moth balls and dogs !!! Breakfast was continental but they didn’t even have fruit, and muffins were kinda stale.

This is a very good hotel to stay at, at a very reasonable price! Employees are very nice and rooms a very clean. In this situation, I had reserved a non-smoking room but when I arrived I asked to switch to a smoking room so I could enjoy a cigar while watching football. The room did not have a bad oder to it which was a big surprise. The bathroom was very clean. I would lay a towel in the tub if you shower though. It was pretty slippery. I will definitely stay here every opportunity that we are in that area!!

People in next room had a couple of dogs that barked off and on all night. I love animals but you should put them away from people that paid to get some sleep. I heard other people in the lobby complaining about them too. Woman at front desk seemed very indifferent about it. Very small breakfast, but the bed was comfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be. The rooms are clean and it was quiet.Rooms: Nice, clean rooms.Nearby activities: There was a big bingo hall across the road.Safety: I did feel pretty safe.

Excellent choice. Room are very well clean. Coffee maker in the rooms. Zero noises at night. They are not offering breakfast because of the coronavirus. Nice place to stay during a road trip

Clean quiet and comfortable. All basic needs met. There are only a couple of nit pick issues. There is no guide on the television or printed television list. The curtains blow open when the AC/heater is blowing on high. Those are minor issues. I would definitely stay here again.

Terrible! Bed bugs in room 229. We talked to the manager/owner. They looked at the squished bed bugs and called them roaches. I was involved in pest control in my time! I know what a bed bug looks like. Besides roaches are bad too. They put us in room 224 after we complained about the bed bugs. That room was not clean. The mattress had a stain on the underneath that looked like somebody died in the bed so they flipped the mattress. Terrible! Will not go again. Sorry!

Definitely not my favorite hotel ordered a smoking room and got stuck with a non-smoking room place has no vending machines and staff seems rude place is literally in the middle of nowhere have to drive 20 miles to go anywhere also its false advertising says theres a fitness room but is not most likely will not be back to this hotel only reason I chose this hotel is it's the closest hotel to palace bingo

The reception and check out was abysmal at best, our room was gross we complained and was moved to an even grosser handicap only room if that’s even possible. No hot water we called and his excuse was that there was too much water pressure for it to be warmed! The internet doesn’t work.The sheets were not dirty and it seems like a secure location we didn’t have any events overnight. It’s a quiet pricy place for its value offered.At least there was a truck stop nearby and breakfast wasn’t disgusting otherwise just keep driving there’s another town 30miles north!

This was not a good place to stay. Yes it's cheap, but the room smelled so badly I couldn't sleep. I can live with the bad patchwork on the walls, and the stains on the furniture and carpet. But the air of the whole place was engulfed in stale cigarette smoke. The breakfast was juice, cereal, muffins and bagels. It would have been more appetizing if there wasn't a woman cooking Indian food in the back walking around barefoot.

I'm giving this 3 stars because the room was nice, and the price was reasonable. HOWEVER, the staff is the most UNPROFESSIONAL staff I've ever encountered! Now I see that several people wrote good reviews on the staff. I wish those staff members were present when I checked in! Whether I called for more information or checking into the hotel.... I never spoke to a well mannered, well spoken staff member. The customer service was horrible, and they made me feel like THEY were doing me a favor.
