We started our search for a Catahoula Bulldog and kept hearing the same name again and again...Old Orchard. And now we definitely understand why everyone loves their Old Orchard dogs. The owners of Old Orchard Duck Farm, Monica and her husband, Joe, are amazing. Monica kept in contact with us every step of the way. They both work tirelessly to produce good, sound animals. Every day our puppy was at the farm was a day she learned how to be a good, calm, and well-adjusted girl. Because of Monica and Joe's training, our puppy is not only happy and healthy, but well on her way to being well trained. We were shocked when we first visited the puppy around 5 weeks at the incredible work they had done with the puppies. They had already begun teaching the puppies not to bite hands, not to jump up on people, and to sit when they want attention. It was extraordinary! We had seen pictures of the puppy's father, Barnabas, on Facebook groups, but he was even more impressive in person. His calm and friendly personality was exactly what we were hoping for in a dog. Barnabas is the leader/protector of Old Orchard's goat herd. He is willing to put his life on the line for his goats. He has protected them from coyotes, fox, and other's dogs who have gotten past the fence to go after his goats. He has a job, and he does it well. By the time we picked up our puppy, she had been wormed, vaccinated, seen by a vet, desensitized to touching/bathing, and just generally well cared for and and loved on. We could not be happier with her and more grateful to Monica and Joe for all the hard work they put into producing happy, healthy, well-behaved, and beautiful dogs.

Had a great experience with Monica and our GSP pup. Communication was good and Monica was extremely informative and helpful when orientating us with our baby. Harley Quinn (aka Bonnie) checked out great at the vet today. She has been very well tempered so far and is the sweetest little puppy. We are very happy with our new family member!

Monica was very unprofessional. I offered to buy a female pup at her full price and was willing to drive the 10 hour total trip. We were very excited as we had been looking for a GSP for some time. However, she was inconsistent about the puppy's age and her willingness to sell. When I asked for the puppy's papers she abruptly ended the phone call. Very disappointed and discouraged by this experience. I was simply trying to be a good puppy buyer. Hope everyone else has better luck! :(

We got a GSP from Monica at Old Orchard Duck Farm back in March of 2015 and, as my husband says, "She's the best ol' dog!" We got her primarily for a family pet but my husband decided to try to work with her to see if she would hunt, as well. She is an excellent pointer (has hunted dove, quail, and pheasant successfully) - so good that others have asked if we intend to breed her because they want one of her puppies, and when we have said no they want to know who our breeder was. She is also a wonderful family pet - loves all of us and is incredibly gentle with our rough-and-tumble young son. Monica was tremendously helpful and knowledgeable and was happy to show us around her farm. She paid attention to us and suggested which pup might be the best fit for our family and circumstances. Another friend of ours got a GSP from Monica and is equally happy, and we met another family recently who received a GSP from her as well - they are also delighted with their dog. Highly recommend!

Buyer Beware. This woman led us on and on about available puppies. We are two hours away, and right before my children and I left, she was screaming at me over the phone that “military families use rubber checks.” When I told her we were leaving she said we were accusing her of not showing up. When I inquired about papers and vet records she hung up.My advice is to find a reputable breeder that can communicate. There are multiple threads about this woman and her business on FB- I should have listened.
