I went to this Dollar General at 8:20pm tonight. The front door was locked. No note of explanation. Their posted hours on the door said closing time was 10:00pm. Their hours on their website said they close at 10:00pm.

I shop here almost everyday. It is my go to store above all. Mainly because it's close. But I love the workers and I've never had a.problem getting in and out and finding what I need.

July 2023 The store has a great team of friendly and helpful employees. Much better experience than in previous years.Several years ago, Sherri the manager is abusive toward her employees and to customers. After multiple complaints to corporate with no changes in the horrible situation, we have decided to take our business elsewhere.

Well the new manager is very loud and obnoxious. I was in there yesterday and heard her telling from 2isles over that she hated people. I think if you hate people then maybe you shouldn't be in retail. Everybody else is very nice and helpful. The store seems clean and the shelves have plenty of stock on them.

Staff is usually nice, but the aisles are a nightmare to get a buggy down. If you need home goods (like towels), don’t bother because that aisle is always jam packed with boxes. Good place to stop to grab something real quick instead of going to town.

The line for the checkout was a little long but they brought help out because of the time of day. But received service with a big 😃 smile❗and a Great attitude! Telling me to have a "Blessed Day!" I love to hear that even when I know they're worn out.

Well what to say accept it's just another dg.. It always smells like bad body odor here. As soon as you walk in u smell body odor. Most of the employees are great, but most. Time management is standing outside on phone and smoking cigarettes. Produce is always old, and the bathroom needs a deep cleaning. Tyler is the best there.. attitude is so great as WELL as Emma's. Those 2 employee s are always happy to assist you and greet you when you walk in. The rest seem to just be there and not friendly at all...

I'm not one to usually complain too much about places or businesses, but I feel there are things that need to be addressed at this store. The store is constantly a mess with freight and stock everywhere making it difficult to navigate the store; most of the employees don't call for assistance when there is more than 3-4 people in a single line (DG training recommends to call for assistance if there is more than 3 people), the store always smells like a garbage can when I ever I go into the store. God help you if you're trying to load money onto a pre-paid card, it won't show up until hours later in your account, the internet at this store is slower than dial up from 1990's, they constantly have computer and register issues which further delay you paying for your items and leaving, there is one female employee who is always obnoxiously loud and if she's running the register she is coughing and hacking all over the place. Half of the employees either wreak of cigarette smoke and one that always smells like weed. The store manager is consistently rude and always derogatory toward people. All of this sucks because the store is in a convenient place for those who don't want to drive all the way to Tuscaloosa to pick up a few things, but the management and the employees diminish the want to go there for anything...

This store had the longest line at any DG I have ever been to. It may be the location that is at fault - by itself along a stretch of 82 with no other stops nearby- or it could have been just a busy time of day, or inadequate staffing. Either way I was not prepared to stand in line for 20 minutes to buy a couple of Mountain Dews and a Red Bull.

The workers that are there now are always helpful and pleasant! They are out of stock on a TON of items but that's to be expected during our pandemic. They could actually benefit with a larger store in that area.

Best dollar general in town. They keep it clean and treat customers good. Majority of the time what I need is in stock. My 3 yr old loves going, the employees are always friendly with him.

This store has upgraded material with a down graded staff. There's only one line a valuable art all times no matter how many ppl. There are on lone it took forever( like 32min) of standing in line for a soda n chip.they have self checkout which doesn't work. It's just for show I guess. And a 2nd register which has cobb webs on its it hasn't been used in so long. I love DG. Don't get me wrong. Im just not happy with the service at this one .i give it 2-👎👎.....

The CURRENT employees are very friendly, hardworking, and always busy. I appreciate the manager who has always been nice to me. I don't think she's abusive at all. I think she's strict, hard working, and expects hard work from others. Anyone who's had a strict parent or boss and does the job shouldn't have a problem. Retail is hard work and it's not for the weak. LOL I like the new improvement, but some of the produce is over ripe and molded. This is due to both our climate and probably the distribution, which prevents it from arriving as fresh as would be preferred. I would like to see 1 more staff member per shift to be added, in order to open a 2ND register when there's a line, and to take away some stress from your staff and customers. I'm thankful for a DG being in my area, which really saves time and money. I hope DG will add lighting to their parking lots for the safety of customers and their staff. I wish the staff had a picnic table on the side with lighting where those who smoke can do it away from the storefront. Also, I encourage DG Corp to invest in your employees through pay raises and other benefits, so that they will invest hardwork and longevity, in your company. Thanks. Have a greater!

The one working cash register is not their fault !! Be mad at toshiba and corperate because They are the ones that are responsible for not sending out a tech that will do their job !!! There are some VERY hard working people in this DG , this job is NOT easy. I know this because I am one of those people! So before you go on here to complain about the long line , shoot your complaint in an email to DG corporate office cause we over here in this store are doing the VERY BEST we can with what we are given to work with ..also the self check out works now !!

This store has a self-checkout but it is often not operational. Why should you and I spend our time waiting in a long line when the hardware for the lines to move better is in place.

Visited $General in Centreville, Al.but their debit/credit card machine is out of order quite a bit. They were only taking cash for several days so I was in one door and out the other. I noticed other customers were also leaving without shopping.

The manager refers to the local convenience stores owned by Indians as chinky stores. I overheard a conversation she was having with another customer where she was saying they don't pay taxes and calling them chinks. She was being rather abusive towards the customer to whom she was speaking. I was very offended and immediately left the store. This lady is hateful, racist and down right disgusting.

For 2 days I have attempted to shop at this store. 2 days I stood in the checkout line until I got fed up from waiting and walked out without buying anything. This is the most pathetic excuse for a place to shop that I've ever seen. Never again will I attempt to shop here again!

This is my favorite DG!! The management is top notch! This is the cleanest and most organized DG's I've been in.(which is alot) You can tell this team works hard and cares about their store and customers!

I ask the guy at the reg. to see how much the Dr. Peppers in 6 pack(16oz.) bottles was. He scanned one said $3.??. I told him the label said 3 for $8.00. He went to look came back said no they where 3 for $11.00. THAT'S NOT WHAT THE LABLE SAID!!!! THAT WAS FOR CANS. PEOPLE PLEASE WATCH WANT FOLKS IS CHARGING YOU FOR YOUR ITEMS. MAKE SURE IT IS WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISING IT ALL STORES!!! READ THE PRICE LABLES. YES it may take a little longer ,but may save you money!!!!

Love Dollar General especially this one because it's in my town. Even though they aren't fooling people trying to act like their prices are less than other, not true. Yiu pay for the convenience here as the prices are more than WalMart.

The store is cramped and cluttered, with clothes that are so crammed on the rack that if you want to pull 1 item, several come with it. There are ALWAYS boxes located near the end caps that they could leave in the back until they actually need to stock the shelves.

The new cashier was so super friendly and took the time to show me how to do digital coupons VS in-store sale items & I had to run back to isle....and she didn't get mad...It was so empty...About time I saw a friendly profesional female cashier!☺👍👌🙆...

Dollar General has alot of grocery items including produce and a long refrigerator/freezer section. Great for when you don't want to walk a mile at a regular grocery store.

I've only been here once and it was fine. My parents go here all the time though. And they absolutely love it. And the staff they speak highly of.
