Always very nice and helpful but entrance into store on the right side is very dangerous. I know the spot is there and have tripped over it several times. I saw an elderly lady fall there one day and I tried to help her up but noticed she really needed to be checked out for broken bones. My husband fell there on a Sunday a few weeks back. He just had full hip replacement surgery about a year ago. He hurt for a long time after and still does sometimes. They assured us someone would give us a call the next day or the next. No phone call came. No how are you ? Do you need to see a doctor..nothing. I would think they would be more concerned about their customers and getting that spot fixed but nothing has been done and no call to see if my husband was ok. Also watch your receipts or the register while they are ringing up your items. More than one I have noticed things are ringing up more than what they are priced. Just this morning lemons rang up 10 cents a piece higher that what they are priced. Just an FYI watch those prices and expiration dates. Several times we have bought things and they were out of date or ruined when we tried to cook it and we have to throw it out. We love the people and store. It just needs some issues addressed.

Food value in Douglas actually has a lot of things in stock that order places run out of and fail to reorder, and the prices are always good on household and baby items, I like that

They have a cornbread salad in there deli to die for. Always happy with food value. Their meats r of excellent qualityEspecially the filet mignons

Two things I LOVE about this small hometown grocery store,1. The employees are like no others ,kind , helpful, and efficient! 2. They have the best meat department,...the overall store prices are a bit higher than say Walmart ,however for the convenience of not driving into town ,it balances out. Store is always clean as well.

You just can't find a better meat market than the fresh cut even optional custom cut meat at Food Value of Douglas! They also carry fresh, reasonably priced produced. They have great deals if you catch their sales papers. By far my favorite grocery store in the whole area.

I shop here very often. All the employees are super nice and very helpful. The store is about 5 minutes away from my house and that's very convenient. They always have sale products. It's just a nice family friendly, and family ran grocery store.

Staff always friendly & competent. Store always clean. I appreciate that they always have wet-wipes at the entrance to clean buggy handles, and that they close at the same time 7 days a week, year-round.

The prices are a bit extreme compared to stores like Wal-Mart. Most people are willing to pay for the convenience of it being the only grocery store in Douglas. The only real perks are the super friendly associates and some products (like Wide Awake coffee and creamer) are only available here. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, but it's not terrible if you're passing through.

Stopped to get a drink out of the drink machine, left without one, they never have Yoohoo, I don't care what time of the day, most times its out, so is the Dr. Pepper, you should stock your drink machines better, and the last time I was in the store, I felt like I was being watched! Not a pleasant experience at all! Didn't have half of what I needed anyway, so I don't think I'll be back

I love this little neighborhood grocery store. It is conveniently located close to my house. The people are always friendly and they always have everything I need. I much prefer going here instead of Wal-Mart or Publix.

Product is great, as it the fresh meat.3 stars given because prepackaged meats has been on the shelves out of date- hours after it was brought to managements attention.I continue to shop here just pay extra attention to dates

It's a bit pricey compared to bigger chain stores (ie Walmart, Publix,etc). They do have a good selection of items though and the staff is super nice. We don't live in the area but find ourselves stopping here, on our way to and from Guntersville, it seems just about every trip
