Not a good experience.. was looking for a .45 magazine for a Springfield XDs, 3.3 . The guy in the gun section sat on his rump on the counter, I had to walk to him around the cases for him to see the magazine . Then he says " I don't have that" , not helpful at all . Won't shop there again..

Everyone here is always helpful and friendly. Admittedly, I've come in 5 min before closing on more than one occasion due to work schedule to get bait for an early morning outing the next day. They are always willing to help. Great selections, and prices are fair.

I've never seen so many primers in one stack. After not seeing any for so long it was a shock to see the stacks available the problem is they are 9 cents each for small pistol. You really can't save any money reloading at those prices so I passed. However they do also have a great selection of green egg supplies.

Just do not understand why they will not acknowledge Veterans. Small Mom and Pops businesses give 10 % discounts, but not the large cooperation. WHY? We put our lives on the line for each of you, and you turn from us.

Being a disabled veteran finances can get kind of Tight. And the folks at Southern Outdoor Sports have always treated me with such kindness and understanding with my purchases! Are they the cheapest? Absolutely not cheap implies poor quality, and they don’t sell anything like that! Everyone there to a Man is helpful ,kind and informative !I live in Geneva Alabama , And do not mind the drive to deal with such kind and professional people! If you haven’t gave them a try please do you will not be disappointed!

Great service. I will be a return customer. The staff was very helpful and nice, they offered assistance but did not pressure you to buy. Prices were good/standard (I found no markup prices compared to online dealers) as well as having some sales on firearms. I recommend you to go in and purchase or inquire about their products. If you're not local I know they ship products as well. I'm certain they'll assist your needs. 5 Stars for me.

Pretty cool place. They have a very healthy balance of items in all departments. Nice reloading section but lack on shot shell components. Staff are awesome. They will say hello and welcome, let you shop, or answer any questions. Great powder selection as well.

It’s like the staff is afraid to talk to women. I went in and asked about a product, they said they just sold the last one, and I asked if they would be ordering any more… and was ignored… I was completely dismissed. I then went to the young men at the front registers and asked them as well, also dismissed… Will not be shopping here again.

The staff is super nice, there is a large selection in this small store. Often they run great sales on a variety of things. They have a decent selection of guns along with great prices. They fishing reel selection isn't the most extravagant but they have the essential needs for a serious angler.

Southern Outdoor Sports is a well stocked store. They always have plenty of staff on duty during operation hours. We were greeted upon our arrival, and thanked for our purchase. My advice is even if you know what you're looking for, and you're offered help then let them find it for you. Because if you don't tell them you need help when asked, then you will be asked every few steps by either the same employee or another. But other than that, prices are good. Overall, I liked it!

I was kind of cautious about going there by me being a black man wanting to purchase a hand gun I don't know one black person that have been over there but to my surprise the guy working the gun counter was very nice and polite he help me with purchasing a gun with them can't remember his name but I do appreciate it will be doing business with them again.

The guys there are really nice and helpful they have bullets in stock so I picked up some for my husband the store is full of everything you need from fishing hunting grilling knives sunglasses bait boots they have it all.

You would just have to shop here to fully grasp the magnitude of how much better a local business is than a franchise. Unbelievable customer service and a wide selection. They also carry live bait. If you can't find it, they will custom order it... If you can't afford their VERY competitive pricing, they have layaway too. How could it get any better? BEST STORE EVER.

Wonderful store to purchase any type of outside activity. They have anything from knives, guns, bows, fishing rods, guns, duck callers, yetti coolers, Green egg and a variety of clothes. You can find most anything in this store and if you don't I am sure they will help get it for you. They are sweet and very helpful. This is a locally owned and operated store but they can beat the prices of the larger stores in town. I love this store!!!

Great people to do business with. I purchase Blaze 14' Bream Poles which used to be a great pole but as of lately the quality has been a lots less than desired. They have a lifetime warranty and the last 4 I purchased lasted one or two fishing trips. I told the employees there I was ashamed to bring them back for so many times but they were very understanding. As a matter of fact I swapped the last 14' Blaze poles for 12' Blaze poles in hope of having better results. Keep in mind not a complaint on Southern Outdoor Sports, they are just a Dealer for Blaze Bream Poles.

Really like that younger crew running the store now really helped me out on my ammunition buying and were nice and respectful and left me to look and take my time dont much like being bothered when I'm looking to buy guns or ammo but they did a fine job!

Southern Outdoor Sports is the leader in personal attention!Their knowledgeable, courteous personnel guide their clients to the products they are looking for as opposed to those at other retail outlets where employees just point to an aisle & let one fend for themselves.Recently I was greeted by 2 staff members as I entered the store & escorted to the firearms department where my many questions were answered.
