I have no problem driving past other places that might have what I need in order to patronize Dothan's Ace Hardware. The staff is phenomenal when it comes to customer service. Not only do I get what I need, but I often receive advice, and at the very least a smile and a thank you. In today's world, that smile and thank you goes a long way and it lets me know that I'm genuinely appreciated as a customer.They have a great selection, and the store is always spotlessly clean and well organized. They're a real asset to Dothan.

Valerie went above and beyond making me a new Yukon key with a chip out of my broken key. She was worried it wouldn't work but she took the time to cut it exactly right. She is amazing! Can't thank her enough!!!!! The customer service was fantastic also with all of the employees!!!!I highly recommend them!!

Went in this morning to try and have a key made for our camper. No one has been able to make one, but the lady and gentleman that helped me gave absolutely some of the best service I’ve ever had. Instead of just saying “no”, they worked together to get my key made. Everyone we encountered was smiling and friendly. I wish the Ace we had in our hometown was this nice!!

These folks have customer service down to an art. The store is very clean; while merchandise is always in order. I have had dozens of keys made there and have never had to return one. I could browse in that place for hours.

The lady that does key have a terrible attitude. She made it a big problem because someone told me yesterday to come in tomorrow to see if I could get a key made. I guessing she is a manager

I went in to get a key made and also to inquire about getting another key made for my car. The guy who made my key was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of them. He also had a great personality! I will definitely be back!!

Went to ACE to find grill. The one on floor had scratches. Colin said he could order one be in by next Wednesday (6/9/2021). Said they could put together for me prob not Wednesday but soon after. Ordered Weber Genesis II 325 and rotisserie. Called Thursday am, grill came in ask lady to please tell them to check and make sure nothing was scratched, stated she would. Went by ACE Thursday at 2:30 pm.4 guys standing around middle desk. Spoke to Justin an asked when he might have grill put together. Stated he was going to get started on it in the next 30 to 45 minutes. Tried to be nice and said not pushing you just thing about that chicken on the rotisserie. It hadn’t come in yet. Friday at 2:00 I called and spoke to Colin who said he was going to start on it in a little while. He was the only one who done that and he had been working on Polaris’s that were backed up for a month but he knew that wasn’t my fault. I said okay. Saturday, 6/12/21, stopped by the store, ask Colin was grill ready, said is this your indigo Weber here in the box. The only thing done to it was the box was open and you could see grill parts. Justin was putting a metal rake together nearby. Explained I was told it was getting put together 2 times. Justin chimed in and said we can’t help other things come up but I explained you shouldn’t have told me you were going to work on it if you weren’t. 4 guys in store again that I saw. Colin said the only thing I know you can do is return it I told him fine. I guess ACE is not concerned with $1000 loss. I have done business here for a long time never any problems. I just had a very humiliating, first time shopping experience in this store. Would NOT recommend.Really, it would be due to Colin, an employee there at the Dothan store. I was given assistance by Colin and another lady in finding "individually" sold 3ft. bamboo sticks, after seeing the pack of multiples and me saying that would be too many... They both pointed me to a wall of single sticks. I picked out three. He had to do a price check and came back, in front of everyone to say that there were no individually sold ones, and that I must have opened a pack to get them. I explain again and again that he had just showed me where to pick out the individual items. However, his assinine attitude did not want to admit to that, but instead made me look life a fool.
