I would highly recommend this vet clinic! My family has been taking our pets here for over 15 years. Dr. True and her awesome staff are wonderful people that truly care about animals. Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. In my experience they always go above and beyond to do what they can for their patients and their humans.

Dr. True is absolutely amazing! We have 3 golden retrievers who are all very different and she’s so patient with each of them! At our last visit my 2 year old golden wouldn’t leave the bench to go to the examine table. So Dr. True gave her the whole examine on the bench where she felt safest!! They are knowledgeable and happily answer all our questions. We love them as our vet!

The ONLY vet I would ever trust with the care of my show dogs and their puppies. They are constantly using the most up to date techniques and procedures to ensure the best standard of care possible. They make sure you feel included in your pets treatment every step of the way. The boarding is also top notch! Mandy and her staff are amazing and make sure our pups feel like home when they stay. They get interactive puzzles and games throughout their day and bedtime stories with fluffy beds and treats at night! Their staff truly loves our dogs and treats them like their own.

I took my dog, Waylan, here and was referred to Dr. Berschneider who Waylan loved immensely. She worked on his back alignment as well as acupuncture. She soon diagnosed him with a torn ACL and he went on to have surgery. She found the cause of his pain by listening to him when several other doctor offices wrote it off as minor unrelated issues. I have been to 3 different vets and this is the only one that took his discomfort seriously and found the cause of the problem.

We have been bringing our pets here for several years. We can’t say enough good about the entire staff. Once again, we faced a hard decision this past week with our precious dog. Dr. Stephenson had already been sweetly honest with his outlook a couple of months early, so we felt prepared. But when the time came, Dr. True, as usual, was with us every step of the way. She was compassionate, respectful, and ever so sweetly cried with us as we said goodbye. Our hearts continue to hurt, but knowing that our Baby Boy Beau had the best care and was loved by everyone there, and knowing she sat right in the floor with us, along with the technician….. this is helping us to heal. Beau found us, we didn’t find him. And because of this, he touched our lives in a different way. Thank you, Dr True and Dr Stephenson, Karen, Laura, and the entire staff, for your compassion, respect, laughter, professionalism, and attention to every detail! I took my mini doxie in immediately at 1st sign of being sick "parvo" I'd paid 1000 for him not even 2 weeks before from a VET tech. Rushed him to family pet care. Vet there sd I'd brought him in time. Said someone would be with him through the night and he'd be there 3 days gave me a print out of the cost of the 3 days stay and treatment. 621.79 was the estimated cost. Well I called the next morning and vet called me back and sd he was struggling and she couldn't get his sugar up. Which is what killed him not the parvo itself. I couldn't go get his little body I was so heart broken. Then I received her bill over the estimated cost she quoted me for 3 day's of treatment. She treated him less than 12 hours and Noone had stayed with him like she sd. I believe if she had of. His sugar would have been caught and brought back to normal and he'd have made it. Then I received a bill for rt at 700 for 12 hours stay. I don't believe I'd recommend this vet's office. Staff was pleasant but that's about all I care to say.

I have had cats for the last 50 years, and Family Pet Health Care is by far the best veterinary group I have ever used. I almost never have to wait and the waiting area is never crowded. The experienced staff makes appointments fun and puts your pet at ease. My cat is not afraid to get in the cat carrier.

When I had surgery my sweet dog had to stay at Family Pet Health Care. They went beyond what a vet/boarding place has ever done to any vet since I can ever remember. My dog wanted to stay when I got home. He was so happy there. I would have let him stay except I needed my sweet companion to come be my baby again. I missed him horribly while I was in the hospital. Thank you to all of those who gave him the extra attention he needed someday I hope I can repay all the love he got from all of those who cared for him. I now know why all those who come there get such royal treatment. All of the staff here are blessed from not only me but my dog. Keep up the work you all do and you all will be in my prayers 🙏 nightly. Again thank you 😀!!!Rebecca

What can I say! I have been a customer of FPHC for 25+ years. From boarding to numerous levels of care required for my dogs and cats, there are no better vets than Dr . True, Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Berschneider, nor a better facility or staff.

My daughter and I have used Dr. True since our first chihuahua purchased in 2005. Along the way we have a variety of rescue dogs and cats that have added to our family. Through the years we have lost many and Family Pet Healthcare has always been there for us and our beloved pets. We presently are caring for seven dogs but only one cat. Ages range from the first chihuahua from 2005 who is still with us to mixed rescues between the last golden doodle who is a little over a year old. There are not enough good words to say about Dr. True and staff at Family Pet Health Care. We consider them family as we feel they treat us and our beloved pets as family.

We just got a sweet puppy & as a first time puppy mom I have had some questions and silly scares. Everyone at this office has been so helpful and kind. They really seem to care about him & don’t mind answering my 100 questions! They’re very gentle with Snow as well. I’m glad we found this place!

We used this vet for our cat's routine shots and all seemed fine. One day she got a skin infection that was pretty severe and they only gave her shots but would not do blood work and told us that she could do it next time that we were there. For the next month we were in and out of the clinic that charged us to come in and give the same shots that were not working before as they still refused to do any blood work or anything else to help. They could see just how much pain our poor cat was in. It was so bad she could not stand and it hurt for her to even sit down. She had lost a lot of her hair and had horrible sores all over her stomach, yet they still did not seem worried at all. We called several times each week and were repeatedly told she would be fine but if we are still worried we can come back in for more shots. I made her an appointment with a different vet since they were not going to help and unfortunately she died the day she was supposed to be there. I had to call this vet to cancel our follow up that we had with them because she passed away and nobody seemed to care. Instead, they simply told me that I could get her cremated and how much those prices were. You'd expect the person caring for your family pet to care but we were brushed off each time, even after she had passed away. What an awful place and experience to watch your family pet die slowly even though you're trying to do everything you can for them. Do not take your animals to this place if they have any sort of real issue going on because they do not care about the animals, only the money.

I love Dr True’s compassion and dedication, she took such good care of Pepe until the end of his life. When I decided to get another fur baby, I wouldn’t dream of taking Peanut anywhere else. We love you Dr True and your staff as well. Their AWESOME!!

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really do just love animals and they treat yours just as well as if they are their own. They never make you feel stupid for asking a ton of questions they just answer them patiently and really make sure you understand everything no matter how many times they have to explain it. 😂😂😂 They all encourage you to call as much as you need to if your pet has to stay any length of time. I called 3 or 4 times today to check on my LuLu as she was being spayed and every person i spoke with was friendly and happy to comfort me and not annoyed at all. I would also like to comment on how exceptionally clean the office is. Normally it kind of smells like animals when you walk in a vet office but not here at all! And not in any of the exam rooms either. Go see Dr. Bryant and the staff at FAMILY PET HEALTH CARE for all your pet care needs! You will be so glad you did! :)

Dr. True is the best. We've taken our pets there for years. She's taken good care of them and has always shown empathy and compassion when one would pass. She even made a house call once when we had to put our Ringo down a few years ago. Definitely five stars!

Dr. True has provided care for my pets for more than a decade and I couldn't ask for a more caring veterinarian or staff to entrust with my fur babies.

Wife and I have been clients of FPHC for 19 years. During this time they have provided thorough top notch Veterinarian care for our 9 four legged children. Golden Retrievers, Chocolate Labs, a Dalmatian and a mixed, mostly rescues. Dr. True, Dr. Bryant, and the entire staff are all wonderful people and we are very confident our dogs are receiving the best care possible in North Alabama.
