Amazing transformation! I saw who looked like a new manager and new staff. The store is looking so much better. It got really shabby for awhile and nothing was ever in stock. Great job! I will be stopping by more often now 😁 it looks fantastic and clean!

Love this store. You can find just about anything in here! Absolutely love their home decor section. Their craft section isn't bad either. Convenient for when you don't want to go to the grocery store to fight the crowd!

The store hours are 8am to 10pm. This store hasn't been open past 6pm. There's no sign on the door stating why or giving warning. I don't know if they are so short staffed they just close or what. It's before 8pm for me rn and there are other people pulling up just to find the doors are locked. I used to work for DG. It's possible to ask other DG managers if they have any employees looking for extra hours and can lend a hand. Ever since they got a new store manager this location wen to hell. The store is dirty and never stocked. This is crazy.

I love all dollar generals. I can find everything I need at a reasonable price. Including clothing items. And the associates are always courteous and helpful. If you've never been in one. Please stop by one and check out the low prices and items they have. You'll be surprised

I signed up for digital coupons and it said I had 9 coupons and I got several things so I would be able to get a discount. They only have one cashier in a line down through the store. The manager came up beside the cashier talking and laughing instead of taking care of customers. I had a cart full of items the people behind me had been waiting so long. My total was over $88 and I wanted to use the digital however it didn't take any money off! I was in line so long with about six people ahead of me so I didn't want to make the people behind me wait any, but I am very upset that I didn't get any discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This store is not a place that I will ever go back believe me I have been to dollar generals all over FROM Huntsville to Cullman and most in between 💯 and this one is one of the worst when it comes to customer service and cleanliness I went at night the first time they was a line of people and the 2 cashiers did not care they just stop and started talking about what they wanted to do after work and if we the customers didn't want to wait we would LEAVE so they could too👎

I've been to a lot of dollar generals and I generally don't have a very high standard for them but this one raises the bar. Im always greeted as I walk through the door and the store manager will take the time to have a conversation with you and make sure that you are well taken care of!

Most of the staff is friendly and work hard. The store itself needs improvement. Small and cramped, doors need to be automatic so you can get your cart out the door. They should definitely expand or move next door! The manager is the best. I shop here OFTEN so I know my way around.

Worst experience I've ever had at a dollar General and I shop there often. I use digital coupons all the time and had everything in my buggy together with my coupons. I knew exactly what I had in my buggy and in digital coupons and what my total price would be. Well instead of it being roughly 40 bucks it was 90 bucks. The lady was rude, not helpful and kept telling me my coupons were not working. Even though I showed them to her on my phone and each item had a coupon. I've never been treated so poorly in my life. I'll never use this dollar general again. They had 1 person at the register and the line was a mile long behind me. They would not help me review my receipt and coupons she was so unhappy about it so I had her put half of my things back and i left there with half of what i intended to buy for 40 bucks and left with half the merchandise spending 44 bucks. That's pathetic. Bad business and rude employees.

Very friendly customer service but I had to go back in for something left out of my purchased items. I'm glad i noticed as i was putting them in the car. The people behind me got it instead but I was able to grab a replacement.

Always have what I'm looking for! Nice to run in and out quickly.....unless, that is, if there are a few customers in line! There is never more than one cashier working....which holds the process up quite a bit!

The shelves are often unkempt as well as the staff being very unhelpful with requests. I was in line once with two people in front of me and about three behind me when the STORE MANAGER started a conversation with the person checking out in which she proceeded to carry on talking after the transaction while ignoring the building line of people trying to go about their day smoothly. She's a bigger African lady and if you ever ask her about anything you might as well hang it up because she will sooner try to distract you with pointless small talk rather than help or answer the question. It honestly disgusts me that she gets the pay she does for doing nothing but socialize. At least some of the employees seem to try and assist with the best of their knowledge. I think it all boils down to who is running the store so poorly. Without proper guidance that ship won't float. However there are a few other dollar generals in Decatur. I personally suggest the the dollar General on Danville. It's a smaller store but it's very easy to find things you are looking for and the staff knows exactly how to help curious or searching customers.

They were out of ALL CLEANING SUPPLIES TODAY!! & only had $20.00 packs of paper towels. I usually Love Dollar General but I needed Cleaning supplies & couldn't get ANY!!

Store is Clean, service is Great, Great Bunch of staff that go out of their way to make sure you find what you need to answer any questoon's you may have. I recommend shopping their sometime if you haven't already!!

There are a few "Have Too's" I buy at DG only.. So this day was one if those "I have to stop in and get a few things".. days.. A friend was in the Hospital and requested candy, "Spice drops" he said.. Where in the world would I find them.. Why Dollar Gen of course, also Vita E lotion, TP. , Puff peppermint balls, couple "get well" balloons and such.. took only a few minutes and off we were to visit my friend.. DG is a staple store in my community.. Thanx guys..

Always long line with only one cashier and no social distance. Store always dirty and items misplaced. I avoid this store as much as possible. I don't care how long the line gets they refuse to open the other register.

There are a few women in that store that think they are better than someone and ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY!! They wouldn't take a return bcuz it was from a different dollar general...and want to follow folks around like they have everything in the store shoved in their sweatshirt or pants or whatever. But to the select few other ladies that work there..I wish I knew ur names...y'all are amazing and the ONLY REASON I STILL SHOP THERE. AND I STOP IN AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES A WEEK. SO EMPLOYERS, BE GRATEFUL FOR THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY HAVE A PERSONALITY AND TREAT FOLKS WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE. NOT JUST A COMMON CRIMONAL!

Not even 7pm and they done locked the doors. Called another dollar general to let them know and they said they would contact there dm. Oh and i tried calling the store multiple times before i called another store.

A wide range of products and services, anything from air freshener to cleaners to phones cards and phones. The store is centrally located on hwy 31 in the Decatur shopping center and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Did not open at the time posted, and turned customers away at the door. Did not answer their phone either and no notices on door to tell of any temporary problems or when they would be opening. It was very inconvenient for me.

A lot of things on the shelves are mispriced and when you bring it to the attention of the employees they get smart with you and they don't have a manager and when you leave your number for the general manager to call you back it is 3 days later and I have still yet to receive a call from the general manager
