I have been a customer here since the opening of this location and watched it go downhill steadily. Both service and up keep wise. Now that it has been taken over by a new manager, Chris, for the first time ever, I actually took part in the survey when paying. Chris has made an amazingly quick turnaround in this location as a whole hope he stays around a while.

This store has declined significantly. They do not have employees to ring you up, prices of products are incorrect, the store is a wreck, and to say that customer service leaves something to be desired is an understatement. We will no longer patron this establishment.

Always shop here and I believe store is under new management and it's awesome, the store manager named Chris have did a 360 with this location, even the atmosphere is better .Way to go dollar general!! Now I don't have to go else where .

It was great a few years ago then when down to a place I would go only if I had to. Employees were rude, shelves never stocked, The isle's s was cluttered with the stock that should have been on the shelves. Recently they have new employees, the stock is back on the shelves and it's getting back like it was.

Yet again, it doesn’t fail to be the worst dollar general in Alabama. The store is always a disaster and they only have 1 register open for cash and 1 register open for cards which cause super long lines and wait times.

The store is ONLY open from 7am to 11am then closes all day, reopening at 630 pm and closes again at 9pm. You would think the store would be pristine shape since people can hardly shop there but no the isles are filled with unpacked merchandise on diffrent sized carts and on the floor blocking paths. The freezer section is just opened and unopened shipping boxes haphazardly thrown in there. The shelves are very close to bare (probably because everything is still in boxes on the floor). This store is conveniently located 20 seconds from my front door but it is anything but convenient.

The store is convenient but the hours are not. They are typically closed from 11 am until 6 pm daily. Why? I don’t know. Maybe their a/c is broken or they are understaffed. Beats me. They could also do a better job of stocking. There are always plenty of carts with boxes items in the way. DG needs to at least put things up at their stores they have before they build a new one. Not to mention their produce section has been out of commission for a while now.

If I could give it a lower rating than 1 star then I would. They’re always persistent on customers using the self checkout and on a very regular basis they’ll close the store early which is super inconvenient.

As long as you don't expect much, like the correct prices on the shelf for popular items. I always have a problem with at least one or two items and this throws the cashier into brain freeze apparently,as I have had one just walk off and return to work when I questioned an items price. I initially thought she was going to check the shelf but nope, she went back to working. I just parked my half full buggy a few feet away from her and wished her a good night, and she replied in kind. (7:46pm on 08-07-2021)

Very nice staff. The inside upgrade is nice. The store is clean, not spotless. They usually keep everything stocked. Sometimes weekends can be tough as the merchandise sells fast. Very convenient to this area.

Have been stopping in this store for about 10 years now. Great location. Closest store to most of the homes around here. Over the last three years it has declined at a rapid rate. New employees almost monthly it seems. Very dirty. Isles are usually cluttered and it is not possible to maneuver a cart through the isles. Usually one to two employees at store. Always a wait to check out. Often sold out of milk and cold cases are dirty. Stock is always in the middle of the isles. Cashiers will bag all cans in one bag, or jelly in a bag with milk. Usually some bagging catastrophe by the time I return home.

Store is mis-Managed and has not always been this way! Merchandize in buggies constantly block the isles and empty shelves frequently, which could be in buggies blocking the isles! Do not like the self-serve register!

The employees were nice and helpful. That store, plus 2 anothers I frequent are nasty and dirty. I was surprised the Deatsville hwy store was actually clean! Thank you. Either the higher up people had been there or new management said, CLEAN UP!

While shopping I was able to use my knowledge of the store to help a customer find a product she was looking for, I live and breathe customer service as I work in that feild myself and it made me happy to help her, eventhough I do not work for Dollar General. My experience checking out was great as well.

Inventory stock status varies, has improved somewhat over the past year. Parking lot has been recently overhauled, Redbox machine is rarely out of of order. Grocery section tends to stay fairly well stocked, though refrigerated section is hit-or-miss at times.

Lazy employees. Sometimes have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get checked out. Beer coolers empty and a host of other things I don't like about this particular store. If things don't soon improve, I will drive a little further to a store where the employees are more cordial.

It seems to be a constant issue at all DG. They are understaffed and will allow a line of 10 customers. Don't go to a DG if it is busy at all or you may have a 20 minute wait.

I don't,My Wife has been shopping there ever since the door was open, she's want in there and got some things for our home and it did not fit a few days later she returned them ,she lost The recite and all thay wanted to give her was a Penny for them after spending over about 80 dollars in there every time we go in there and y'all did this to us, Hell no we Will Never go back and we Will be telling everyone we know about this,You all are so wrong for that,so so so wrong

This is always crowded and short staff. The line is wrapped around store with one cashier on register and the other one in store shopping. The men in the sore ate friendly.
