Best restaurant on the island. We loved the Shrimp Plate with potato salad. My son liked the pulled pork plate and we all loved the milk shakes. Service is fast and efficient. The owners are friendly and this is such a relaxing place to eat after a day at the beach or a nice meal before going out on the pier to watch the sunset. We had eaten here three years ago and we were ever happy to see it was still going strong. And don’t leave without trying the egg rolls!

Gonna start with most of what you see offered online is not available...like ice cream. This place was not much better than horrible. The person behind counter was rude and could careless that people were there. I ordered loaded tater tots and received a plate of undercooked greasy trash (as pictured!). No pride in what you do is reflected in the service and food.

I'm not sure how this place isn't solidly in the high four-stars already. It's a five in my book, all the way. Prices are very reasonable, for the beach. The cozy, open air dining is a great atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They apologized ahead of time because of the fact that I might have a bit of a wait, but it wasn't even much of a wait at all. This was during dinner-time. They take call-aheads, as well. The shrimp Po Boy and fries were out of this world. My wife got the cheeseburger, and it was just as good, or better. It was all so good, we came back a second time, when we had originally planned to sample some of the other restaurants on the island. The chocolate and vanilla milkshakes were fantastic, as well.Be careful going here, because you might become addicted, and your home is likely far from Dauphin Island!

The food here is always delicious! I try to stop by here whenever we're on the Island. The ladies that run this establishment are so sweet, and service is wonderful:) It can get crowded in the summer, but they still make everything fresh and get meals out in a timely manner.Kid-friendliness: It's outdoor seating and they have some kid friendly things on the menu. My daughter likes the hamburgers.

Loaded tots and loaded nachos. Both very good! Service was fine but they forgot about us and I had to go back up and ask. Not sure why they ask for a tip before providing service either, always seemed weird to me when places do that. Recommended though! No inside eating but a nice porch with tables and a couple weak noisy fans.

First time there was a good experience. The lady that took our order commented that she normally is the one cooking/prepping the food. But...she was extremely friendly, patient and helpful with us. I guess, on busier days, they have an "order here" window and a "pickup here" window. But we just used the "order here" window. They offer BBQ, seafood plates and burgers as well as a good choice of sides. A copy of their menu can be found online, just don't trust the prices on some pictured menus. Seating is all outside on wooden picnic style tables. I ordered a cheese burger with fries. This is where my only (mild) complaint comes in. The burger was made to order, but tasted plain. Most places season the burger in one way or another, but not here. Again, this is my only complaint. Everything else was great. Will definitely go back and try something else on the menu.

Coming from the beach, I thought this would be a nice place to stop for a quick lunch. I'd never been here, but it didn't look too bad. The first warning sign came from the fact that all the prices were scratched out on the menues. While I understand price increases, there was no indication of current prices anywhere. I also realized that the cutlery and condiments were almost completely empty despite it being past the lunch rush. I ordered the Reel Deal Nachos with no pork and a vanilla milkshake with whipped cream and caramel. Upon ordering, I was first told that they were out of whipped cream. They said something between them and apparently there was whipped cream, though it left me confused as to what I was getting since there was no communication with me. They were also a cent short of my change—although the amount isn't a big deal, as someone who's worked food service, there should have been an attempt to get the change from a supervisor. I got my food relatively quickly; however, my nachoes looked unappetizing right out of the box. Everything was soggy, and nothing was hot despite having baked beans and cheese. The slaw was bitter, and I genuinely can't think of why. I'm not a picky eater, but it just didn't taste good at all. I ended up throwing away most of an $11 meal. I'm disappointed since I usually try to give smaller restaurants a chance. But this was not a pleasant experience and will not be returning.

Hands down the best shrimp po boy I've ever had. Everything was super fresh and the portions are generous, I couldn't even fit all of my shrimp in my sandwich. Good amount of outdoor seating. The woman who took my order was very nice and courteous, even when she was juggling the lunch rush on her own. Don't let a wait dissuade you, there's a reason so many people show up to grab their lunch here. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in town.

Our experience was solid but incomplete. We collectively ordered oysters, fish, shrimp, a burger, and a combo. Our aides included potato salad, hush puppies, fries, french fries, and okra. The food was well-fried and seemed fresh, but needed salt or lemon badly. There was no salt available at the condiment bar. They were also out of milkshakes. The wait was very long, though they warned us and did seem slammed. The staff did seem friendly and tried to be helpful.

Would not recommend. The barbecue is no real smoked barbecue. Tastes and looks just like Lloyds barbecue. The prices aren’t listed on the menu and all the food looks like it’s made with a microwave.

Meh. Brisket sandwiches were far too greasy, potato salad was good. Reel deal nachos would be perfect at 2 am after drinking all night.

Not great quality food. The pulled pork was meh and the burger had to be a frozen burger; not very good. The potato salad was not bad.Eatable, yes. But would rather go elsewhere next time.

Ate po boys for lunch. Shrimp and fries good, seemed like served on hot dog bun. Lettuce old, sandwich fell apart. Had to ask for napkins and cutlery. Would not eat there again. Too expensive for how it was served. Gave my bun to the birds on deck.Parking: Lots.Kid-friendliness: Open large deck.

Food was great, but quite pricey considering I get a spork. The trash was full almost overflowing and almost all the tables were dirty and they were not busy. there was nobody there when we got there it did pick up a little bit before we left.

Waited 45 minutes for hour old dried out fries, way over done burger patty, slim-pickings bacon that tasted like they fried it with the fish, and lettuce that simply was so limp and ragged that I simply stomach leaving it on the patty. Other burgers in our party were the same and another ordered the nachos and they sat under a warming light so long the nachos had turned into wet pita bread.

I had the half chicken and it was very dry, the potato salad was pretty good, the baked beans were WAY too sweet for me to the point I was done after one bite, the egg rolls were mediocre at best (I don't understand the rave reviews of those), my son's pulled pork was drowning in very sweet barbecue sauce and he wasn't a fan, my wife thought the ribs weren't bad, but the sauce was too sweet, my oldest enjoyed his cheeseburger and the fries were good after you got half of the salt off.If you like sweet barbecue sauce, this might be a good place for you. If you're looking for a simple decent burger or something to feed the kids, this is a good place.

Our family ate on a Saturday night around 6pm. We called our order in ahead of time. It took about 20 minutes to get our food. The staff was very polite to us. The variety of menu items was great. The quality was excellent. We stayed at the condos across the street. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street for dinner and walk back. I highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back.Parking: Plenty of parking availableKid-friendliness: Our children had no problem finding something they liked on the menu. One child had a burger and fries. One child ate bbq nachos.

My wife and I got the pulled pork platter. We both chose baked beans and they tasted like they just open up a can of beans and poured some into a tiny plastic cup. Wasn’t good at all. I got the hush puppies as well and there were 3 that were small marble sized, not what I’m used to when I think of hush puppies. The pulled pork was just ok. I’ve had better pulled pork. So quality and portion sizes were poor. Got more ice in my large drink than iced tea. Not sure how they have managed the ratings they have gotten. Set me back over $30. Made my first and last stop there.

Do NOT go here if you have any kind of food allergies. This was the most unhelpful and uncaring staff I've ever ran across. They have no idea what has gluten which okay that's fine but they make zero effort to find out. Won't check ingredients for you and just shrug and say "Probably everything has it". BBQ is usually a safe go to food for me. Boy was I wrong. Stomach is burning now after 11 hours in a car. No idea what I can eat now. Met with friends who already ordered I'm just sitting watching them eat because it's not worth the risk.Edited to add that the rest of our group of 8 ended up taking a couple of bites and throwing their food away because it was so disgusting. My husband who will eat just about anything even thew his away. Total waste of money. Guess I didn't miss much. I went next door to Pirates. They were extremely helpful with my food allergies and I had some wings that were delicious and safe.Dietary restrictions: No options at all! Was told that probably nothing on the menu is gf.

A Reel Ripoff. Prices are high but that is to be expected on the island. They take it further… I’m really angry that they won’t serve cups of water but force you to order a $2 bottle of water. You order and pick your food up at a window and they want a minimum %15 tip in addition to the overpriced kids meals. (It feels like coercion). They only reason people come here is it’s the island. You’d be better off at subway. Also, we waited for a very long time. I’m not sure exactly.

Just a small kitchen with an open air eating area. Both the seafood dishes and the barbecue dishes we ordered were fantastic. Probably the best hush puppies I’ve ever had.For casual southern beach food, I can’t imagine finding something better.Weirdly, they ask for a tip upfront, if you care to tip. I choose not to tip upfront, but tipped very well at the end, as it was fabulous!Parking: Adequate.Kid-friendliness: Very casual.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp.

This place came highly recommended by Aquarium staff, but the food was not great. The prices were not as advertised and we ended up spending a lot more than expected for probably the worst meal of our trip. Out of the food we got the Shrimp was the best, but still not great. I very rarely leave bad reviews, but I felt the need to let people know about our experience.
