Really wish they would get new management. My family shops at this store at least twice a week as it is less than a mile from our house. You can guarantee you will stand in check out line for a minimum of 10 minutes. They also never restock their shelves. They open the boxes and leave them on the floor in front of the shelf where the item is supposed to be so its like an egg hunt finding what you need. This was never a problem before they got their new manager.

This dollar general has SO MANY issues. Not only do they NEVER keep the shelves stocked but it’s messy and the employees are SO RUDE. I was standing in line waiting to check out and the two cashiers were so busy running their mouth that i purposely grabbed a lighter from the counter and put it in my pocket to see if they would even notice or stop talking to each other...of course, they didn’t see me or stop talking until I rudely asked when i was going to get to be checked out. Something needs to be done about keeping the shelves stocked and the employees doing their jobs.

This is my whole family's go-to store for almost everything. Staff is always pleasant and takes personal time to develop relationships with customers, creating an always inviting and convenient place to shop. Special shout out to Karen and Pam for always going above and beyond the already high standards kept in this store.

I absolutely love going to this Dollar General. They have most of everything I need and is easy and quick to get in and out. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I am so glad it is here so close to home. I only wish they had more groceries, like fresh foods.

I do business with the local general stores in my community. Just a few moments ago i was hailed by the cashier who said i beeped when i went outside. I stopped to get soft dog food but there wasnt the first can of dog food on the shelf...most of the other isle looked barren as well...I beleive the girl who worked the cash register wanted to accuse me of not being totally honest and thats just insulting customers at Christmas Time ...DG needs to fix their rickety electrical problems.

I give 5 stars to the people only working in the Good Hope, Al & Dodge city, Al stores. If we could give separate company ratings and negative ratings the company would get the largest negative Google maps offered. Aside from that the people are always friendly despite being short staffed, working double shifts or not having off days for months at a time. People get discouraged when they are left at register & the line stretches down the isle to the back wall. Customers get angry & take it out on you & it your new, added bonus never ran a register or never ran one like theirs, even worse. If you page & page for help but it does not come until the line is gone, that cashier will not be back after her break or lunch whichever comes first. No one wants to be thrown in the deep end of the swimming pool when they can not swim!! POINT IS DOLLAR GENERAL DOES NOT CARE!!!

The only reason I didn't give this store five stars was for one reason and one reason only...the checkout line is ALWAYS TOO LONG, so when you stop there to pick up a last minute item you forgot in town, you're stuck in there FOREVER due to the long line because there's only one register open! I'm not sure if they're short staffed or what but that's DEFINITELY MY ONLY COMPLAINT because the staffs always very friendly and helpful, the stores always nice and neat, and in general, it's just a good store!!!!!

GoodHope DG - They were out of milk---the whole case was empty, a couple of gallons of 2% .... and it took forever to get out of the store; always does. . Goodness, they needed help. I was with my sister or I would have walked out. It wasn't a good experience and it's that way every time you go in that store.

its a place to shop and location is conveniently placed for those in good hope but the staff is the most depressed bunch of log knots I've ever seen. EVER! I understand if you hate your job but at least cuz you have a job

Items spread out in odd places , realatively clean and good price for what you get.Laundry soaps and items are always good price with their digital coupons is the main reason I shop at Dollar general.

This is your basic dollar store. Nothing too much to say here, except that the staff is always up for a friendly conversation. If you have to the time, iI recommend that you stay, chat. Alabamians are pretty friendly.

This Dollar General is just OK and is actually a little bit run down a comparison to some other Dollar Generals that I have shot that. The prices are the same but it definitely could use a facelift.

Wide variety, friendly workers. If something isn't on the shelf, they will go in the back and see if they have any there.
