Always out of stock, 3 employees by register but only one EVER operational. Make you feel like you’re a burden just for showing up at the store, I’ve never felt so unwanted as a customer as this store makes me feel. I live across the street but still drive 15 minutes away causes the customer service and appreciation is non existent at this location. I’ll keep going to the Family Dollar where they actually keep the store stocked and are glad to have my business instead of making me feel bad for showing up and needing to buy stuff. Like I’ve never felt bad for needing to purchase stuff but this store makes me feel like a burden not a customer

Check out was a little painful but that was due to the customers. It was very well stocked, prices were great. I’ve had limited experiences with Dollar General but this was a positive one.

Picked out 4 different boxes of assorted chocolate for New Year's day treats near Dauphin Island and as I was about to scan and pay the attendant grabbed them and asked where did you get these? I said the end cap? He said we pulled those for a recall? He walked away with the best box and said I can't sell these. Rude AND annoying.

They are slow they are always out of stuff and bought chocolate milk and the next day it went bad. I hate Walmart but I would rather go there then dollar general

1st time here! We came on a Saturday afternoon around 1 pm. They were extremely busy when we showed up. The lady at the checkout was very friendly! If your looking for a Dauphin Island shirt come here, they have several sizes from small to x large for only $6.00.

Worthless lazy employees one of the workers can’t even count change right takes forever to check people out and they don’t close at 10 they lock the doors at 9:40 and do nothing this store is worthless ever since the new employees and the remodel

Leave it DG to come through in the clutch. If you staying on Dauphin Island it's a well deserved ride over the bridge to come here. Way better variety and the prices are normal compared to a certain store on the island.

Loved this location!!! They have quite a few cute tshirts, shorts, bags and towels that have "Dauphin Island" on them. Very clean and staff is helpful and friendly. I don't know why they call it a "dollar store" when I walk out I've always spent quite a bit more than a few dollars 😜

Store is clean but doesn’t have a large selection of groceries. Prices for beach supplies are not marked. When asking an employee the price she didn’t know and was annoyed. Asked her to scan the item to learn the price, at which her reply was “I hope you are going to buy it or I will have to call my manager to clear it”. Wow! Told her she didn’t need to be rude. Says “well I’m new”. (Apparently to Earth and human interaction).

The worst experience ever. Store was nearly impossible to navigate thru. Digital coupons useless. Many items not priced. When you ask an employee what the price is they seem to make up a number. I was overcharged and when pointed out to same employee the error... She replied " I asked my manager and the item was $3 higher " Going to contact corporate office

I love our Dollar General and the Ladies who work there. They are always pleasant and help you any way they can. I shop there several times a week. Very thankful for its close location.

This store is a life saver when on the island. Not too far out and the prices compared to the local stores on the island...well, let’s just say one item we found here for $7 was $31 on the island! So grateful for this little common gem for affordable prices 💛 oh and very friendly service!

The guy with the earring who works here is always extremely attentive and quick with helping customers. When I was there yesterday the lady who was working was too busy gossiping with the off duty manager to ring me up, but this guy rushed out from stocking to ring me up. Wish I knew how name because he deserves to be the manager.

A nice enough dollar general with a decent selection of goods. They are not a FedEx drop location though and will advise you to go to visit Bayou La Batre DG.

A woman there was very rude! Also all the customers. I felt very disrespected. I came in here 2 times and those 2 times she rushed me and the people behind me pushed me out of the way. In line I kept a good distance away from the person in front of me because that's the polite thing to do. I could feel the breath of people behind me for christ sake. As soon has the lady gave me change she would start picking up the other persons things before I had time to get my things or even put my change in my wallet.

A lot more choices than our local DG, in Centreville. The staff there is very nice and helpful. The aisles were cluttered, some you couldn't walk down.

They always seem to be out of stock on so many things. Not just one branch, the whole chain. Theve got wide and varied goods and groceries and the staff are generally friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful conversation with the 2 cashiers that work at Dollar General I was a visitor and they gave me a great Direction in the store or where I can get some shirts of Dauphin Island and I appreciate them they were very very courteous and nice

Pretty good selection. Prices are somewhat higher than I expected. Make sure you check the expiration dates on the products. Pretty clean store. Employees are relatively friendly.

The employees here are very friendly they know exactly where everything is on the shelf they can tell you at the door immediately if they have it or not I've never been to a store that has more knowledge of their stock than Dollar general.

We visit the DG often. There are two near us and the newest one even has produce ! We would rather go to the DG then drive to Walmart. The staff are so friendly.

A lady named Jenny went out of her way to locate us a blender by calling nearest store. She found us one in Coden. She displayed real customer service.
