After purchasing an expensive machine online we waited over 2 hours only to be told that Ace Hardware would take 24 hours to release said merchandise to Us! The money was immediately taken from our account, over $500! I must also say that the Manager continued to try to make ridiculous excuses so that We wouldn't get that merchandise at the sale price. I showed Him and 2 other employees the advertisement for that item. They had the item in the store, 3 of them on the floor. Ace Hardware will not be getting our business again! This is no different than theft! If I spend $5 on an item then I should leave the store with it. Not be told I have to wait 24 hours. Really terrible business practices.Re: Read my complaint again! There was 3 of the item on the floor!

A very pleasant surprise! I was just passing through town and noticed it. Needing one thing, I pulled in since it was so convenient. I left with a dozen items that I desperately needed because everywhere I've checked (within 3 states!!) have been out of stock.Awesome customer service as well! Good job!!

Andrews Ace Hardware is very well stocked. If you need something they probably have it. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are reasonable. The prices are a little higher than in the larger cities but this is to be somewhat expected at rural places such as this.

Home town favorite but by far one of the best hardware and general stores in the gulf coast area. Lumber, tools, gardening, lawn care, firearms, electrical, plumbing, everything you could need in one store.Update: 4/30/22 Still my favorite hardware store. Had a young man help me find the exact thing I need and then got another associate to recommend additional items to help with my home improvement project. Best service anywhere.

I spend thousands of dollars in this place since I moved in Citronelle the only place around there's 4 specific people that you asked to help and it's like you're bothering them even though it's items are overpriced it's convenient however I'm getting the runaround for them to fix the chainsaw that I purchased here I've only had it for 5 months and I use it everyday after three weeks that want to send me to another service center because they don't have time to look at it I'm.the other story is they're waiting for the warranty department....I'm done with this place...

I have been taking my mower there for repairs for 10 years. I even spent $1000 with them and had them put a new engine in it. Yesterday I took my mower in for repairs and was refused service and given nothing but lame excuses.

As far as hardware stores go they're pretty average they usually have what you need if not then you go to the big name stores the only thing that they lack is is the personable attitude today the workers they're all how you say self-absorbed they're doing their work and they don't want to help they think the next guy should help if you have an issue or a problem or are you looking for something it's like they it's it's the environment it's the attitude if it wasn't for that that'd be one of the greatest places in Citronelle to be honest with you.
