Never thought I’d leave a review for Walmart, but it’s worth it for the Chelsea location. This is my preferred store over Calera, Alabaster, and 280. It’s easy to park, and everyone who shops/works here is friendly. I’m currently too pregnant to be able to shop for an hour and lift heavy groceries on my own, so I tried pickup. I had a great experience using it for the first time and plan on doing another one before the baby arrives. I placed a same day order; they were fast and courteous, selected fresh items, and I didn’t notice anything missing. This Walmart is also always well stocked and clean. I use the Walmart app every time I do go in for a better shopping experience and ease of navigation.

Very clean and organized! I would have to say my favorite thing about this Walmart. Is the people that shop there they seem like very civilized people! I feel safe as a customer at this Walmart!!!!!

I wanted a water pick today. I waited in the aisle for 10+ mins. I looked and tried to call someone to help me, however here I am, waterpick-less, since we can't get them out of the locked aisle for whatever reason everything is locked. I'm a paying customer. I just want clean teeth. I'll just take my business elsewhere. Thanks for nothing.Sincerely,Nasty teeth

It's Walmart and the employee's are lazy. Certain locations are better than others but they all need to make workers actually work. If I want to check myself out I'll order online and shop Amazon. Get sorry workers off their phone or fire them simple

Automotive center review: I came in early, with no appointments scheduled until 9:00 (as told by the older male employee). There were literally no cars there, but he denied my service and said he couldn’t get to my car for another four hours. Bizarre. He was rude, sarcastic, and obviously preferred a certain race over others. He then told me I could set an appointment for an oil change online but proceeded to set one for me on his computer. I’ve come to this Walmart multiple times and have never had an issue or encounter like this one, nor have I ever had to set an appointment for an oil change. I will never return here for any service.

This Walmart, I think, is a bit better than your run-of-the-mill Walmart. It's never over busy, and they do a good job of keeping things stocked (most of the time). My only major complaint is the checkout experience. I'm all for the self checkout as I can get things set out and then bagged the way I want. I work late afternoons/evenings, so I'm usually there between 8:30 and 10:30.Now they have, I believe, 5 of the regular sized self checkout aisles. The same size as the ones that have a cashier. All the cashiers are gone, of course, but they also shut down the big self checkout aisles as well. That leaves the tiny ones only. The ones that have room for maybe 8-10 items, depending on the size of said items.I do all the grocery shopping for the wife and I, so I may have 25-40 items on any given trip. So it's impossible to unload my cart before I start scanning things. So I have to pack that little shelf area with whatever I can get to balance there, and then rearrange the stuff in the cart to make room for the bagged groceries. Then repeat until complete.Of course it's not the end of the world, but it is a pain in the arse, and it pretty much doubles my checkout time. And since there are no aisles with cashiers available, there's no other choice. What's the reasoning behind this? Save money having to pay fewer employees? I don't think so, because at least half the time there are two, sometimes three employees standing right there, talking amongst themselves.I even tried going there one day around 2:00 pm, and still, the large self checkout aisles were all closed. If Walmart is going to force their customers to check themselves out, the very least they could do is to make as convenient as reasonably possible. There's an awesome Publix just down the road that I love to shop at. Problem is it will cost me ~ 30% more to do that. And on $200-$250, that adds up in a hurry! So, Walmart, please keep the large checkout aisles open for your customers. No matter who you are, time is money for us all.

I subscribe to the delivery service and am usually satisfied. If there’s a problem or a defective item delivered, my money is refunded.

I shop for groceries and many other items at this Walmart, because it is cleaner and the people are much nicer than those at the Inverness/Greystone location. Also, the Chelsea store always seem to be much better stocked.

I tried to buy an Ariana Grande perfume and they said it was $25.67, but it was $34.69, huge rip off. I told my grandmother and said they do that a lot, and some of the lipsticks have bite marks on them. No wonder they are going bankrupt. they are liars who overprice stuff that doesn't need to be overpriced.

What can I say, it’s a Walmart. 😂 I have been to a lot of Walmarts across the southeast and the layout of this one is one that makes sense and is easy to navigate. The people are nice and helpful when you can find someone. The store is generally clean and well stocked. A good tip is to use the Walmart App to help you find where things are and to scan items for prices.

NEW CHECK OUT POLICY at this Walmart allows only four customers to check out at one time IF Walmart only has one employee present to overwatch us (because we all are stealing from them, right?)I was unaware of any changes and as I started into what I’ll call the “coral”,not only because Walmart makes us feel like cattle at times with how they treat us, but also because of its general shape and purpose, anyway as I entered into the area I heard the familiar yelling of a particular associate at this Walmart, a very loud middle aged woman who has been unfriendly in our past encounters. She is very un-pleasant to deal with in my opinion. She’s loud and abrasive and always KNOWS what she says is right. She actually told me once that she was the only person in that store that knew how to ring up a gift card I had received. Even when she couldn’t make it go through, she knew is was someone else’s fault. So she’s yelling something that I don’t quite understand as I’m looking for a register so I can once again ring up, and bag my own groceries. I don’t see her or understand what she’s saying. Like I said she’s always yelling something. The next thing I know she’s in my face screaming and my buggy is being forcibly pushed against me. Then backwards. You can’t go in there she yells. I looked up and the veins in her face and neck are about to pop. Only 4 customers at a time she yells. New Walmart corporate policy!!! Dazed I stepped back as she repeated her rant “New corporate policy!!! “Only four customers at a time when only one employee is present!! “I considered walking out. But I knew I would only have to go right down the street to Publix( where they ring up and bag for you and all the associates are always nice. They can be a little more so most of the time I just come to Walmart to work my way around the Walmart employees loading things into those multi level monstrosities of carts that they use for home deliveriesI sat back and waited as the Walmart associate actually pushed my cart back a little more to make her point. If Walmart wishes to have only one register in the whole dang store up and running, that’s up to them, but I can spend my money at any of the three grocery stores in our small town of Chelsea , Alabama and if I have many more encounters like that one, l will.

I do grocery pickup often but lately every single time I’ve either had an item missing or they have given me expired food. They gave me already rotting hamburger meat that expired TWO WEEKS before I picked it up. This is absolutely unacceptable. Grocery’s are too expensive to just throw away. Do better.

Walmart really needs to cut a deal with Instacart like Publix did or find a better way to manage their pick up orders. I'm currently sitting in the pick up line, which is where I've been for the last HOUR waiting on an order that's been scheduled for 2 days now. This is the second time I've used the pick up feature and the first time was just as bad. You can't even get through by phone to tell them you'll come in to get it and lord knows I don't want to confuse them any further.

This Walmart has some of the nicest and helpful employees. Every time I shop there I find everything I came to shop for. The pharmacy is really good as well. I’ve also used the Auto services. The mechanics are very fast and always do a great job.

That is a good store sometimes the selection can be hit or miss between two trips to the store.. hoping Walmart will remain competitive with Amazon because I just let that membership go getting way too expensive Walmart seems to be staying at least within this world shopping prices. The only clear advantage that Amazon has is a lot more choices for any given product

Worker's that doesn't want to work or help anyone. Most are rude and say that's not their department so they don't help you. Products aren't being kept in stock on lots of items. They don't open new check out lines even when there's more than 5 or more waiting to check out. Regardless if you're checking out through self checkout, basically doing what they are paid to do. They also complain if you use more than 1 bag even if it's for heavy items such as milk and etc. Fed up with them and have changed shopping to where ppl are nice and helpful and also has really good prices. Good bye Walmart!!!

I'm not sure what has changed, but I definitely feel like this store is better than it used to be! It's a lot easier to find someone to help in various departments. I only wish that the people that worked at self checkout were friendlier or at least looked pleasant (like they don't hate their job). There are only a few that smile or speak. As a person who's worked in retail most of their life, it's surprising to me that the people that are closest to the customers are the least friendly and the ones in the departments are super friendly and helpful! The door greeters are always friendly!

As always a great place to shop, Walmarts are typically laid out the same, so it's easy to go in the direction that you are looking for goods and products. Some Walmarts have a better selection and available items on the Shelf than others, but overall just an easy place to pop in and grab what you need and leave.

I had a $300+ order which I self- checked out. I was watched and treated like I was shoplifting. I don't know if it was because I am old or because I am white as the person doing it was both young and black. I now only shop there when I need something I can't find elsewhere AND I NEVER SELF-CHECK OUT any more. Also my orders are now $20-$50 and it has become my store of last resort. When I contacted the store manager, she defended her employee and told me I could order online. If I have to do that, I will order from Amazon because they deliver to my door. I have to pick up at Walmart. I've heard the ads where Walmart will come into your home and put away your groceries. WHY would I trust them when they don't trust me? Chelsea, Alabama Walmart has terrible customer service and gave me a very unnerving experience.

If I am going to have to check myself out I believe there should be a percentage taken off. Definitely not enough cashiers. The shelves are never stocked enough, too many are empty. I believe this has been going on since you started grocery pick up.

I believe this is the cleanest, most well stocked Walmart I've visited in quite some time. The only drawback was that although there were employees around, no one smiled or greeted you. I wasn't looking for a parade, but a friendly good evening would have been nice.

How to describe a walmart? They are all the same. Cheap prices ok stuff and i guess clean. This place has nice staff and stuff like that. There is a large parking place and anytime there is a lot of parking. But most important of all is that its in a convenient location.
