Went in today with my friend that is disabled. The lady we went thru was blonde headed, it was around 4-5 pm I could check receipts to be exact but she rang up the stuff he had then he paid her and she made change then flipped her light off and went straight to customer service.She didn't say bye, I have to go work there, nothing! She just turned around after flipping light off and walked away.That sucks. I asked him if she spoke when handed change because I didn't hear anything as I looked away while he paid and such.She was ready to go. He said well that was nice of her....was about 60 bucks of stuff I imagine. Typical. And bathrooms up front are dirty most every time I'm in this store.

This is a very nice and large Walmart sort of out in the middle of nowhere. Makes a nice stop for us on the way to Birmingham. Clean restrooms. Can pick up a quick lunch-Salad + Sandwich. And a nice bottle of wine to take with us.

UPDATE: On 1/26/2024 the Centre Store Manager , MELANIE MCWHORTER, callled me and apologized for the treatment I received and assured me that she would re-train the individuals I dealt with and that a incident like this would not happen again! Unfortunately she was working out of town and could not be reached that day or (I believe) this would have never happened.Walmart does care about it's customers, after all!----Originally posted on 1/22/2024:I stopped by the Centre, AL Walmart today while visiting Centre on some business to get a refund for a little set of headphones that I had purchased from the Ft. Payne Walmart the day before. The headphones did not work and I had my receipt and thought it would be a quick in and out.The purchase had been the day before when I went to pick up my WALMART+ grocery order. Everything went well at the Ft. Payne Store and because a neighbor had asked me to pick up some things for her, I went into the store and bought a little over $75 more and picked up a few additional items, myself.One was a cheap set of headphones ($11.88). But when I went to the Centre Customer Service desk, a young man named HOLDEN took the items and my receipt and told me he would give me $5 back on my VISA and $7 and some change in cash. I had paid for the order with a Cigna Healthy Today VISA, $36 in cash and still had to put $5 on a VISA card of my own.I asked HOLDEN why he couldn't give me all of my refund in cash or put it all on my VISA and he said he couldn't--that the system wouldn't let him. I asked him to call "the [Store] Manager." I felt sure this was a problem which could be worked out as Walmart had been paid and I was entitled to a refund.It took at least 10 minutes before a man (FREDDIE) came and said basically the same thing. I noticed he was wearing a blue and yellow smock and knew he wasn't the Store Manager; when I asked it turned out he was a CSM. He said the Manager was off but he could call and assistant. I told him I'd asked HOLDEN for the Store Manager and had already waited over 10 minutes. His excuse was that he was with a customer and he FREDDIE was in charge. I took my items and left.I feel this is a situation that the Store Manager or and Assistant Manager could have resolved. Instead I had to deal with a CSM who didn't have the authority to deal with my issue.I called Walmart Customer Service and they took a report; but had no satisfactory response but promised a call back. In the meanwhile, I plan to re-box every item I've bought from Walmart for the last 90 days and return it to show Walmart them that they CANNOT treat a customer this way.Check out my receipt; Walmart is trying to say I paid for the headphones with $5 debit and the rest cash; You don't see any items to substantiate this; I say part of the $36 I paid were for the headphones--which it was because my neighbor gave me only $20 in cash to cover her items (I put $16 in cash out of my own pocket). None of this should matter, though and any competent Manager could have authorized the override of "the system" that HOLDEN and FREDDIE relied upon.I live 25 miles from the nearest Walmart and before to this incident, I used their Curbside Pickup and online ordering almost once a week. I am 71 years-old and was proudly a WALMART PLUS member mainly because of "|convenience:" Their refusal to give me all cash or put it all on my card was done, I think , to cause me an "inconvenience." I feel Walmart's policy of refunding like they offered me is unfair; in fact, I recall getting a refund on a item I once paid for with a Debit card and they just gave me cash.My purchases were paid for with cash or debit card so there was no doubt Walmart did get their money. And isn't a payment with a VISA card just like paying with cash?

Store and bathrooms are very clean. My family always finds great deals, especially on clearance items. I’ve purchased several cakes from the bakery and all were dry vs moist though, hence the 4 stores instead of 5.

Nice store and employees. BUT the employees park in all the spaces closest to the store which is against Wamart policies. Management will occasionally enforce the parking rule, but it doesn't last long. You have to walk a mile to get to the door. Feel sorry for the senior adults in our community. I will change the rating when managment does their job.

Customer service and nighttime stockers could do a lot better. Stalkers scattered things to two or three locations making it hard to find what you need to get out of there pretty quick. Just need to hire better help

The service here is average. I sometimes think they make things a little more difficult than they have to be though they are following rules and follow entirely to strict for me. I had to return an outfit that was purchased for me by someone else as a gift in anniston. I was not able to return any of the items except panties and bra. I was desperate becaause i had nothing to change into and would be spending the weekend here. And was short on cash. They would not ex change them nor give me any type of credit for the shirt and pants the lady in customerservice said that they didn't have that particular brand Jean outyet at there store and the shirt was no longer on sale there either. Therefore I would have to return them where I purchased them from in order to exchange them. I went on to explain having nothing but this outfit to wear could she please work with me. But she was firm that was the rules. give me a gift card for them, would not? Let me exchang And I only had the one outfit with me. So therefore, it was crucial that I did a replacement of some kind and they were not understanding at all. What happened to custqomer service and the family caring persona walmart potrays. Also the store can sometimes be disarrayed. More than would think would be in this area and place and with as much staff as they have standing around. You would think it would would be straightened away there. So they could use some help on their customer service and their work ethic.

Very organized and tidy wal-mart. More enjoyable to visit than most and the employees and customer service tends to be very good and consistent as well. Would advise to go here instead of other wal-marts if possible.

This was a fun Walmart. The staff were nice and friendly. They helped us and led us to whatever we we're looking for. They had a great selection of candy. The lines were not long at all and the cashier we're supper nice. We had a great time just walking around and browsing for a while. This is a great Walmart.

I know this new way of doing Black Friday helps to reduce fights and chaos, but truthfully it sucks being mixed in with everyday items.The deals are harder to find and easier to miss out on because it's something different each week.

Most employees I meet are friendly, there's always a greeter at the door and is never too busy to welcome me, and if I've ever needed assistance at self checkout they have always been super helpful. The departmental employees are always asking if I need help finding something or if I found everything I was looking for and a few have even made suggestions that helped me out a lot. Good Walmart to shop at.

I love my Walmart I hope your done moving things / hey us women don't like when you move things around we like to find things just where we left them last time because most of the time we are in a hurry/ do love the info above the aisle thou/ keep up the good work/ if I go after dark I can talk an employee into going out with me for extra security & that's a great thing !!

I used to be satisfied with Walmart of Centre, Alabama pick up service. I went online for about 20-30 minutes, paid for my food order and everything with my cards. It was totally approved. Then I called Walmart in Centre, AL to make sure everything was going to be ready to pick up (I live 18 miles from the Walmart in Centre, AL) and was told my order had been cancelled due to lack of help. Had I knew that previously, I wouldn't have ordered anything in the first place. I spent all my food stamp money there hoping to get groceries cause we are starving. They said it would be about three days before they put my money back on my card. Now, we can't get any food for our family today. Very disappointed and starving!

Undergoing remodeling, clean parking, carts were rounded up in a timely manner, and the employees were exceptionally friendly. Even other customers were friendly. The aisles were not correctly labeled and the larger containers of water were impossible to reach (and I'm quite tall) but it's understandable when a place is being remodeled. Most everything was in stock. People flowed easily through the store and employees were helpful and friendly. As an out-of-state visitor, I was pleased.

So yesterday I had a Walmart pickup order in which a couple of items were left out. I called the Walmart in Centre, Al and the nice lady on the phone fixed the issue right away. Then today I received a call and they confirmed that the issue had been resolved. Thank you so much Walmart employees for the kindness that I received. Your good customer service is very much appreciated and I will continue shopping there. Thank you 😊

This store is clean and organized every time I go there. The staff there are very polite and patient always ready to help. Don't have any complaints.I've recently also done the grocery online pick-up service they offer and everything I needed was brought to me with no issues. I highly recommend this Walmart over the Fort Payne Walmart.
