Bill & Son's is a local store that has friendly workers and a clean store. Prices are a little higher on most things than at a big grocery store but that should be expected in smaller towns. Many times it not worth the drive to a bigger store for the little amount you would save.

I was 3 dollars short to ight and the cashier was the sweetest young lady. She was understanding and kind. She paid the remainder of my groceries w no hesitation. The young man who was bagging also tried to pay the remainder of my groceries without hesitation. We need more employees like the ones at Bills& Sons!

This nice little country grocery store gives you the feel of the good ole'days with an inventory that will never disappoint the staff although they where young they where very helpful and very very respectful which you just don't see in young people anymore so this was very refreshing too experience. Not at all what I was expecting

It makes 10 months that I'm here now almost there coming up my husband and I really do like Carbon Hill. Now about bills and Sons I've read through some of the other reviews that have been posted and I've got to say about all the negative remarks that they say fine prices High. I got to tell you the truth you could not be more wrong. To leave Carbon Hill to go to a Walmart in Jasper or Walmart in Winfield or say it or anywhere else you're going to spend so much money in gas and when you get there you're prices are actually higher you just don't realize it you think you're getting a bargain because it's the world's largest retailer and produce me through the better price but they're not you really need to look at your prices you really need a comparative shopping experience. The people in the store welcoming friendly courteous they do sanitize and clean the always ready to help. I've gotten to know Butch to the point where he'll take a picture of what I need I'll bring in an item that I get somewhere else that they don't have in the store as yet but they're willing to try and find it. We're going to be celebrating our 38 years of marriage and we're having a marriage vow renewal at our home here in Carbon Hill I bought all my food from bills and Sons cakes, and my wedding cake. Prices are not overpriced. Unless of course you really do like to spend that money in gas and the extra amount of taxes paying on it to go there and the money you're paying untaxed food in the state of Alabama you have no idea what you're talking about you just think you do.I made it a point to find out what time to go two bills and Sons when the meat is cut when I can expect to find certain things. And they'll actually get it ready for me and put it back and and make sure it's ready for me for pickup. I can't do that in the Walmart I can't do that in the grocery store chain that's not going to happen. Think about it just think about the money and saving and gas by not having to leave Carbon Hill when I do live in Carbon Hill. No I do go to the Walmart stores when I'm going to be in that area other than that I don't need to go traipsing over there just for my food. Think about it think about it think about it y'all be blessed

Staff is great, always helpful & friendly, but the prices are so high it's one of those places you really try to avoid going to because you'll pay almost twice as much for the same item you could get at Walmart for half the price

Super nice employees! Beautifully cut meat with great prices on it but other groceries are a bit costly. The only issue I have with them is they quit cashing my personal checks I was told they quit cashing personal checks although I've never had one to bounce. I do know they are still cashing personal checks though

They're really nice. Always friendly and helpful. The hours are awful though. The only grocery store in Carbon Hill and close at 7 Monday through Saturday and are only open 11-6 on Sunday. Prices are okay on my stuff but some stuff is outrageously priced too high.

I have shopped with these fine people since I was very young. Best staff, will order items for you because they care about this town the people and entire community. Best cuts of meat anywhere. I love our small town supermarket

Did not used to like entering this place. Seemed like you were judged by everyone in there. Felt uncomfortable being in there, but they hired Libby. And now it is better she makes you feel at home no matter where your at.

Convenient place to buy your groceries. Management is always friendly and helpful and they hire very polite and friendly employees who do their job well. The place is always spotless when I go in, and their selection of meat is always my preference over Aldi or even Walmart. Just tastes better!

The employees who help unload the buggy abd bag are friendly, respectful, and quick but while ringing up the items the cashiers are always starting a conversation with the one that's bagging and I feel as if that's inconsiderate of the customer. I might gave a question but never get a chance to ask.

Bill & Son's is an awesome hometown grocery store with awesome hometown owners. Mr Richard Barnes, his son, Brandon Barnes, & daughter, Nancy Barnes Vickery are the nicest people! During our sickness & others that had covid, etc they told us to call in our grocery list, bagged the groceries & brought the groceries out to our vehicles never complaining or leaving anything off the list! The Barnes family are always willing to help folks in anyway they can & we appreciate them & their local grocery store. Thank you Barnes family for all you do for our family & the West Walker County area! May God bless you all!

I have shopped here for a very ling time. They have great meat prices. And their sales are awesom. Which they almost always have sales going. And hey have great attitudes and smiling faces! To me that alone says a lot about a place. I give it 5 stars!!!

A simple grocery store in a simple town. Don't expect a huge Walmart selection but for Carbon Hill it isn't that bad at all. I prefer B&S over Dollar General and their tacky employees anyday. This is a place where everyone knows everyone and stuff is pretty easy to find. Not much has changed over the years, which for here isn't necessarily a bad thing.

They got my groceries out of my cart & put them on the belt line for me. Then bagged my groceries & took them to my vehicle & transferred my groceries to my vehicle. Bill & Son's is a great place to shop. The workers are so nice.

Love this place. The carnival snow cones they have in the freezer section are the whole reason i travel here rather than my home stores. Friendly associates as well.
