This was my first time visiting this restaurant but it definitely won't be my last. The food was delicious, the service was exemplary and the atmosphere was very welcoming.Kid-friendliness: They do have a kid's menu.

This was my first time going here. I've always like the photos of the food from the pics on FB. The food was good it just took a while to get it. Also I was looking forward to a buffet that u can serve urself but u had to be served so that was a let down. Also a little pricey but I don't mind pricey if the food and service is great! I ordered the Shrimp and Wings plus 4 egg rolls. And to my liking the egg rolls just weren't quite up to par. I know my egg rolls and they're one of my favorite side dish and I've tasted a lot of egg rolls but these just didn't hit it for me. My waitress was super nice and very friendly. Loved that! I gave a 4 but I'm hoping the next go round will surpass this one.

The waitress was very nice and helpful. She made sure we were good throughout our time there. There was an Alabama game playing so the vibe there was enjoyable. I've ate there several time and I usually enjoy food. Which is why I gave 4 stars. I was a tab bit disappointed this trip. My chicken Philly was a little burnt and dry. Overall it is a great place to eat, drink and vibe.

They had two waitresses on a Saturday night! Because we didn’t order as soon as we sat down our waitresses didn’t come back for 20 minutes then told us we should have ordered when she was there the first time. I have no issues with waiting if the server was waiting on other folks but she was just chatting and hanging out with one table. Then when we started ordering everything we wanted they didn’t have. So we ordered 14oz steaks that said they came with rolls but we’re told the menu was wrong. The steaks were not 14oz. I received my salad after half my meal was finished. I and the rest of my family are not real picky but this was an unpleasant experience. We spent $140.00 to eat and I feel like at the very least our drinks should have been refilled without having to wave our arms in the air to get it. And before anyone asks, no the restaurant was not packed they had over half the tables empty.

Randomly found this place driving through middle of nowhere after dropping off truck for repairs. I’m a burger connoisseur and have had 40$ burgers. This was less the. 10$ but best burger I’ve ever eaten!!!! I have no words for this place! I will drive an hour again to eat just here!! Wow is all I have to say. Wow. The staff was also wonderful kind and sweet! Great job!

Met a friend there for lunch. Seems like the focus was more on the hot bar rather than the table service. Took forever to get our drinks and to get our food order in. The food was just so so, not very exciting. After we finished eating took a long time to get our check. Please do better.

Went for the very first time with my husband for date night. Was able to order a beer and a Dr Pepper. 10 minutes later she came back and took our order. She told us that we could only order certain things due to short staffing and that we couldn't have cocktails because she was closing the bar. She also told us that she was closing the restaurant at 6pm (which was in 10 minutes) but she would still go ahead and take our orders. I asked I thought you guys didn't close until 10 pm on Saturday? We drove an hour to eat? She said well due to short staffing I'm trying to uphold the reputation of the brand. Fast forward 30 minutes after placing our orders we hear fighting in the kitchen and everyone that is waiting in the lobby is just kind of looking like what is going on!? Another 10 minutes later someone else comes out and asks if we had got food I said no ma'am she says "well you can take your drinks and go we no longer have a cook were closing." So. I'm very displeased for this being the first time I've visited and this happening. Plus it being a date night for me and my husband and that being a very rare thing. We quickly Googled something in the area and ended up at Rack and Reel along with a few other people who were also in the lobby who were asked to leave. You should probably do better or get better staff before opening a new location.I will say though the lady that was originally taking the orders was trying VERY hard. The kitchen staff needs to get it together. She didn't even want to come back out to tell us we couldn't eat. She was the most respectful!

My favorite dish is the smoked. Chicken plate with veggies. My friend had the most delicious looking Shrimp salad. Ribs and chicken wings are a favorite from the menu also. A food bar is available each day for the client with limited lunch hour. A great place to visit, great service and good food.Parking: Parking available on site.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. Kis friendly available.

Ordered the crab claws, catfish dinner, fried shrimp dinner, philly cheese steak combo, chicken tender sandwich combo, and hamburger combo. All the food was great, service was good too. Prices wasn't too bad either. We definitely will be coming back again.

Crab claws looked OK but 60% had no meat on them looked like eaten ones had been recooked. Shrimp were dry and tasteless, fries were cheap frozen kind. Wings were not even close to crispy. Catfish was ok and service was good. Would not return.

2nd time here at the one by piggly wiggly and the service is really bad. 5 stars on the food but if you have to wait 20 minutes to get a drink or for a waitress to actually acknowledge you might need something. The number system used makes absolutely no sense. I might go back in a month or so hopefully they can get some better help.Edited my review, definitely better the last two times I've been here and today is pretty good. I see they are getting better organized and the waitresses are on point. I'll keep coming back.

This is a very nice place! It is a little confusing if you have never been there. There is two ways to order from Mama Berthas kitchen which is a buffet style. You pick a meat, two sides and a bread. Or you can order from the commissioners side with a menu. We went with the the MoMA's side and it was very good. My husband was in heaven. You get plenty on your plate that is for sure. If in the area we will be back. The staff is just super friendly!

This business reached out to our business because we were looking for a food truck. We discussed everything and he said he would do it. He even sent me his logo and asked me to add him to our advertising, which I did. No one showed up, called or messaged. I messaged several times, even expressing concern, worried that something had happened. That event was almost a week ago. No one has responded, yet he has posted about several places he has been and is going to be. Just bad business!

The Commissioner Pit offers a variety of different food and my favorite is his wings w/fries, although they are small but good and anyone can opt for 16 wings or more at a reasonable price … which undercuts the competition by a few dollars. One thing though, I am not fond of the special sauce or seasoning salt, but many people love it. Also, the Commissioner Pit cheeseburgers are huge and worth the price. I think it’s the biggest in the city of Camden compared to the competition. Overall I think anyone who likes steaks, seafood, burgers, wings, chicken sandwiches, or whatever the case maybe will like his new restaurant and food, as well.

Always my first choice for lunch. Pick your time wisely since some customers will walk over you and skip the line. Staff is friend and very accommodating. Front counter/registers can be a little disorganized at times but for the most part the service is great and the food is well worth the wait 😋

My go to place for some hearty soul food when I am at work. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny. The customer service is great and that's very important in my book. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. They're closed on Monday 😇😇

Only here with a friend for a short time but I wished I could have stayed longer. Really nice inside, attentive staff. Oh, and good food, that's important too! Camden has a nice one in Commissioners Pit Stop.

We got a slab of ribs and collards to go today and it was delicious. The sauce is unique and the collards were fresh not frozen. We will definitely come back when we are in Camden!

Visiting relatives for the Thanksgiving hoilday and was told about this place. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything from the fish to the macaroni and cheese was amazing ! This will always be our go to restaurant everytime we are in Alabama !
