Been to the store 3xs since they opened. Everytime I tell myself I will not return, just bad all the way around, unknowledgeable staff with a not my job attitude, poor layout, seems if they dont know you they dont care to help or know much about the product, took 10 mins to to get someone to assist with a weed eater. (3 employees at the register talking with no customers)Happy to report haven't been back in over a year

You go to a lumber and building supply company expecting to be able to get what you need especially when they have what you need. But then they tell you that no one knows how to operate the fork lift to load what you need on your trailer so you would have to load it by hand. Then when you ask for help they tell you it’s self service outside and they can’t help you. What kind of supply store doesn’t have their employees trained on fork lifts where a customer can be helped at anytime. Besides that when you have spent upwards of $10,000 at this store over the last 6 months you would expect them to at least help you load what you need but no they tell you they can’t do that. I will never spend another dollar at this place.

People were helpful and knowledgeable. Items were well arranged and in the correct places. Their prices are still a little higher but if you don't have time or want to drive to Alabaster, that's to be expected.

Why have a web page without items you carry or prices... this is the craziest thing I've ever "not" seen. I am a comparison shopper and I refuse to waste my time and gasoline driving to your store hoping you'll have what I need at a reasonable price. It's almost as if you don't want anyone to know what your prices are...

The customer service in this place is absolutely pathetic. We only come to Marvin's for the convenience and in this case we needed to buy a dishwasher. Me and my husband walk up to the desk in the middle of the store where these two ladies who were obviously having a loud conversation about their personal lives. They didn't even acknowledge my husband until they were done with their conversation, and even then when they were done, one of the ladies looked at him and rudely said "yes?" My husband tells her that we are interested in getting this dishwasher to which she replies "ok?" My husband had to literally ask if they were going to check and see if it was in stock or not. They informed us that they didn't have it in stock but they were going to give us the display. That's great, but the guy who came over and started unhooking the display, my husband asked if he needed a hand. The guy completely ignored my husband. They also wouldn't let us use one of their tarps to transport the dishwasher. They made us buy one as it was clearly raining outside. Shopping at Marvin's left a bitter taste in my mouth, and like I said, we only shop here for the convenience. Their staff needs to learn better customer service skills.

The worst customer service I've ever seen. No one acknowledged we were even in the store. There were 2 other customers in the store but the staff looked at US like we had hotdogs sticking out our ears. (We left and went to Lowe's.) As we were leaving and they were in a huddle talking, they looked at us and NO ONE asked if we found what we needed or even said have a nice day. They turned back and started talking again!

I went to your calera Alabama store Saturday 8/13/2022 , to buy some plumbing parts and shop. I took my dog with me as I have on many occasions. Several of your employees know him well and pet him , he does bark sometimes ,which he did , he was on leash and in my arms , when I was approached by a woman l assume was the boss that day and rudely told to leave the store , she didn't like dogs in store . I've been going to this store since it opened , guess I'll drive to lowes.

I love Marvin's, always in and out fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It can be a little pricey but decent for the quality of product that they offer ( especially in a pinch)

Went in there today and every single employee we encountered was rude and didnt seem to know what they were doing. We purchased lumbar and we go around to the back and the guy acted liked it was a chore to even tell us where it was then they didnt even have what we had payed for, so we had to go back inside and purchase something more expensive. Never even offered to help load it , jist sat there and watched us. Then we go to leave, show the gate man the receipt and we have very loud pipes on our truck and he has the audacity to SCREAM at us and tell us to slow down. We had pulled off from a complete stop and there was no way we had the time to even "go fast". Awful experience...

We purchased 20 sheets of sheetrock. The gate man told my husband real quick he couldn't help him load the material because he had a bad back. While my husband loaded he sat and smoked cigarettes and watched.

Local home and garden supply in Calera, Marvin's has a Saturday special savings along with weekly ad for Spring DIY improvements and/or the backyard gardeners. Friendly and knowledgeable staff there to help you out.

Great place to get what you need to build or fix something, they have pretty decent lumber selection, prices not always as cheap as others but keeps u from driving farther to another store, especially if you are pressed for time.

Love the option that you can park your truck and even trailer right next to lumber you need to load. Much better than Lowes or Home Depot.

Bad customer service. Not very attentive to customers not familiar with the store. Only would recommend when no other hardware store is convenient or open.
