Wife and I made a visit during our day off, the owner stared us down immediately upon arrival (we are mid 20s with tattoos). We walked back to the restroom that was only guarded by a bungie cord and signs on the restroom doors that said "private." We mistakenly took the signs as just privacy warnings. Not "keep out, or employees only." There were no such signs to tell us not to enter or utilize the restrooms.He rushed back cornering my wife and I, scolding us for being rude and not asking. That we were trespassing.We kept our peace, didn't say a word and left. I planned to spend hundreds of dollars or more, as I have in the past there. He was rude to my Mother and I the last visit, but I was giving a 2nd chance. I WILL NOT GIVE A 3RD!!!

I'm giving this store 3 stars do to price. They know what they are selling, so if you are looking for a deal this is not the place to go. I found 2 items in my one visit that were five to six times the amount I paid at a local thrift store for the same items, both were antiques. If you compare items in the store to EBay sales they are pretty congruent. Personally I would stick to local thrift stores such as Asbury Thrift or A New Leash On Life, both stores sell similar items for a much lower price.

Only antique/junk store I have ever been in that was unwilling negotiate on price. I can't eve remember the item, an old knife I think, but I asked "what's your best price on this?", and he said, "whatever the tag says it is is it." Had about $300 worth of stuff in my hand that I was ready to pay the tagged price for, but simply sat it all on the counter and said, "well I don't guess we'll buy any of the his other stuff either".

We were buying many items here until a few months ago when the male (owner I guess) got in an antique clock that I liked. I asked him what the lowest he would take was and he quoted me $135 with my wife right next to me. I walked out thinking about it, then my wife went back a couple of days later to purchase it for my birthday. She asked if she could get it for the same price and he was VERY rude and told her he was firm at $150.....a woman thing maybe?? She will now NEVER go back. So I finally went back there today and the same clock was still sitting in the display case. The same guy was in there again. I crouched down and looked at it for some time and he never asked if I wanted to see it or if I was interested. So I walked around the store (basically seeing most of the same stuff as was in the store a few months ago) and before leaving went back to study the clock (marked $150 FIRM). Still he never asked if I was interested....just sat in his chair watching TV. I left and will NEVER be back as well. I am a huge antique buff and have dropped serious money on many stores for the last couple of years. This one will never see our business again. When the lady used to be in there (thinking his wife?) she was so pleasant and helpful....not like this crabby fellow. Haven't seen her in there the last 3-4 times, which is a shame. VERY BAD BUSINESS ETHICS.Will stick to the good ones, like Packard's in Huntsville and King's Row in Guntersville

Great selection of goodies old and older, and a friendly, helpful proprietor. Definitely worth a stop.

This is one of the few remaining true antique stores . It is not one of the cookie cutter shops full of Chinese stuff and painted furniture . Mr Will Smith of Guntersville seems to be one of those who thinks he was born with a sense of entitlement . This is a great little shop ! The owner is very helpful if you ask him but he does not follow you around and hold your hand .
